Yum yum yum! If you're in the mood for a good brew, a huge pretzel and maybe some schnitzel on the side, then this may be the place for you! We visited on Father's Day, a bit later in the day. Our server, Anthony, prefaced our ordering with the fact that they've served over 1,000 people that day and some of their items were unfortunately out - like the spaetzles, schnitzels and a few of their popular sandwiches. He shared and went over the large beer, cocktails and drink menu too (which includes mocktails for $5 or so!). To share, we ordered the Giant Bavarian Brezeln (served with North Country Black Bear Mustard and beer cheese) and the crab cake. Both were tasty! The crab cake was full of lots of crab and little breading; the pretzel was perfect and so good with the mustard. For our main dishes, we ordered the Norwegian Salmon with a side salad and mashed potatoes, Roasted Beet salad with chicken (fresh arugula, sweet beets and savory with huge pieces of chicken), Steak salad and kids burger. If I had to choose a favorite out of the few, I'd say the steak salad would be an excellent choice but the others are just as flavorful.. it truly depends on your taste buds. I like how big their menu is, all the side options available plus the endless selection of dressings for your salad. For the little ones, the burger was pretty big and the fries dusted with whatever seasoning is on them were amazing. Everything tasted fresh, looked well prepared and presented and was oh so good. What a nice spot in charming, little Harmony, PA. On our way back to Erie from Pittsburgh, Harmony Inn was our lunch spot. The menu serves a host of German-inspired items and a wide selection of beers from North Country Brewing. The potato pancakes were large with crispy edges, but I wish more of the pancakes had a crispy crunch; they were more like large hashbrown patties. My Nashville hot chicken sandwich was tasty and I liked the à la carte cole slaw and warmed red cabbage. The service was friendly and attentive. I went to The Harmony Inn with a friend for lunch, and it was a nice experience. We sat outside to enjoy the recently improved weather, and the patio is fantastic. It's cozy behind a lovely brick wall, has an outdoor bar, and also a real woodburning fireplace for chilly weather. One of the best in the area. The menu is a bit limited and leans towards German, but there are enough items that even a finicky eater should be okay. I had the käsespätzle with added grilled chicken. It was pretty good, but don't order this unless you're good and hungry. It doesn't look large, but it's super filling. My buddy had the beef-on-weck sandwich - his go to at The Inn - and as always, he enjoyed his lunch. This is a nice place to be, and the staff was reasonably efficient. Harmony Inn restaurant is owned and operated by North Country Brewing Co. and serves German cuisine and dozens of craft beers. According to the restaurant's website, Harmony Inn was built in the 1850s and is reported to be haunted by a ghost. Harmony Inn accepts walk-in customers as well as reservations through OpenTable. I made a reservation for dinner for my husband and me. When we arrived at the restaurant, we saw that the exterior of the house has cute eyeball-shaped windows and a painted mustache. Seating is available on an outdoor patio, in interior rooms of the house, and on an outdoor balcony. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed the privacy and fresh air. Please note that OpenTable says that the dress code is business casual, but most customers wore casual clothes. Throughout our meal, our waitress's service was timely and friendly. Here are my ratings for our foods and drink: Giant Bavarian Brezeln - 4.5 stars - This soft pretzel was indeed a giant size and came with mustard and beer cheese. Potato Pancakes - 4 stars - Two large potato pancakes were served with apple chutney. Blackened Catfish Spaetzle - 4.5 stars - The catfish had a flavorful seasoning and was served atop spaetzle noodles mixed with peppers, onions, and corn. Jagerschnitzel - 3.5 stars - My husband ate this main course, and I took a couple of bites. The pork schnitzel was breaded and fried and topped with bacon, onions, and mushroom sauce, but my husband said that he would prefer more flavor. The sides were mashed potatoes and braised red cabbage. Pumpkin Spice Cake - 4.5 stars - This slice of cake was a seasonal special. The cake was moist, had a nice flavor of pumpkin and spice, and was topped with rich icing and a spectacular-looking caramel-spun sugar. Autumn Leaves Mocktail - 4 stars - This mocktail contained cranberry juice, orange juice, Sprite soda, and lime juice, and it tasted good. read more

Must have been an off night. Not sure, I waited over an hour for my food salmon and twice baked potato, that was never going to arrive. Once my party of 3 started receiving their food after more than an hour. I was told that they had one piece of salmon and it was a half piece. I was like. Ok well never mind. They insisted they offer me another meal option. His option was a drunken fish sandwich with fries. Not what I ordered and not the side I ordered. It also took an hour for my salad to arrive. Which was about 30 minutes after the flat bread. I had to ask for it. The server told me the cooks make the salads. But he made it for me. I always thought servers made the salads. That's how it always is done anywhere you go but anyway. The fish sandwich was offered apparently because it was made extra. It was like warm and soggy. So assume that was accurate. FYI his recommendation came out within 3 minutes of when he offered and it was not hot. I would have expected something just out the fryer was gonna melt my soul. Lukewarm. I'm just not thrilled with walking a quarter mile BOTH WAYS to park to end up with this kind of service. I got there at 745 with reservation. One of the most over priced restaurants I have been to. To start, $11 for a kids Mac and cheese (spaetzle) which is literally a one cup serving. The kids chicken tender meal is priced the same at $11 but the portion size is appropriate. $28 for the "drunk fish" entree which was quite mushy. Basically a lunch portion with a dinner price tag. $22 for harmony Philly that was fine but nothing to write home about. My husband and I went to the weekly open mic night and decided to have dinner while there. The history of the place is great and worth taking a few minutes to read in the menu. You're welcome to roam around the downstairs and upstairs where there is seating also. The menu is really varied and offers something for everyone. Since there are German roots connected to history, a lot of German cuisine is available like various spaetzel sand schnitzels. They also make their beer and their sodas in house. I always enjoy the Harmony Inn, especially on warm Sundays for live music on their patio 4-7pm. The outdoor bar & patio is fun & dog friendly. There are so many great bands that play there. I wish that they would invest in some kind of small awning or roof for the musicians in the summertime. It gets SO hot for them in the sun. In the winter or inclement weather bands play inside the bar area, which is quite small & the bar gets packed. They have a huge amount of craft beers on tap. The menu has lots of choices. I opt for potato pancakes when possible, and their German food selection, such as spaetzle or schnitzel are good as well. As are their burgers. The building is super cool & quite historic (and haunted). And the town of Harmony quaint & historic as well. read more

For my friends birthday we wanted to go somewhere new but wanted a steak. We heard good things about this place and wanted to check it out. There is so much history here at the Harmony Inn and you can feel it when you walk through the doors. Its an old house that was converted into a restaurant. It has a nice patio for the summer and a nice size bar inside. Not too many tables though. I ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The potatoes and the asparagus were spot on. Honestly couldn't tell you which one I loved more. The Steak didn't have too much flavor but it was still really good. Then for dessert we got a Gluten Free Chocolate cake piece to share. That was super rich and tasty. My friends got the wings and they said they were delicious and then he got a Chocolate cake as well. The service was pretty good and the waitstaff was very friendly. We sat inside this time, and Nick seated us, took our orders, brought our food, refilled our drinks, and brought the checks immediately when asked. He was very affable, fast, efficient and really made a difference. I had the Bacon and Brussels Spätzle and it was quite good, and my cousin had the Hot Chicken Sandwich, which he enjoyed. The only bad thing was that the WiFi didn't work, and Nick actually warned us when I asked for the password, that it was known to be problematic. This place will always be a favorite of mine - I got engaged here! There is a wonderful historic atmosphere here, and the house's history is a must-read. Whether you're in the dining area both upstairs or downstairs, the bar, or on the patio, there just isn't a bad seat in the house! Incredible restaurant hidden in the local historic neighborhood! A converted hotel great for any season with indoor seating, a full bar, and beautiful outdoor patio. We arrived around 5:00pm on the weekend in order to grab a table on the patio, where they allow dogs, so we were excited. The wide array menu consists of German style food, as well as American favorites. I ordered the Nashville Hoy Chicken Sandwich and it was probably the best I've ever had! The buttermilk-marinated fried chicken was incredibly crispy with a tender and juicy inside. The sauce stole the show though with a sweet, yet spicy flavor that burst with different seasonings and didn't overwhelm with heat. Even the pickles and kaiser roll were delicious despite being plain. American cheese and a light amount of mayo topped the sandwich to add even more taste and keep the sandwich light and not dry. On the side they give a nice helping of crispy seasoned fries so the meal is very filling. Absolutely delicious and I am craving more already! The drink menu has over 50 options, so there's something for everyone's preferences and trying something new. I got the Strawberry and Cream Sour, very smooth and flavorful, perfect for the summer weather. They even offer a dog menu of safe options to treat your pet. This was a cute, unique spot to enjoy food, drinks, and live entertainment if you are there on the right night. We had amazing service as our servers had good positive energy and attended to our needs as a larger group. I had the cheesesteak which had beer cheese in it and it was really good. For appetizers we had pretzels (which are a must have as it was a perfect texture and the sauces were good), flatbread (also really good), and fried pickles (I don't eat pickles but my colleagues liked it). My wife and I went to Harmony Inn with friends. We where seated immediately and waitress came over for drink orders. I have to say i was a bit disappointed in the service as the only time we sore the waitress was when she delivered the food and then the check. The waitress never came back to see if the food was good. We stated off with fried pickles and a giant pretzel. I had never had a fried pickle before and it was delicious. The pretzel was huge and was great. I ordered a reuben sandwich with french fries. The sandwich was ok nothing great, I have had better. The fries where not good at all not sure but had a weird taste to them. The service as I said was totally terrible. The food was adequate and I would normally give 3 stars but the service being the way it was i would of given it 1 star so I give them 2 stars which is being generous. So this is an updated review from my last one. I will start by saying this has never been my favorite place. The venue itself is interesting and nice. The issue I've always had was the food, I've never had anything here that I could truly say was good. It's for that reason that I've not want to go back that often. The place does a great business however. The other night we were trying to figure something different out and my wife said let's give it a try again. She likes their fish sandwich. Well that night the place was decorated for Christmas which was nice. We were seated right beside a Christmas tree. Our service this evening was decent, she had a large party by us that took up much of her time, but we still received good service. First things I noticed was that the food prices have increased greatly. I also looked over their very large draft beer list. They had plenty of their own beer and some outside options. What I did notice is how much more expensive the outside options were, around $3-$4 more than most other venues. My wife ordered the fish sandwich that' she usually loves from there. Something was changed, I believe she said the roll is now different and she didn't like it as much. I ordered one of the burgers. I'll be honest, it wasn't bad. Again the venue is nice, the parking is so so. The food is hit or miss. The prices are a little more than most places for the same thing. read more

Our "Go To" no more. We always loved this place but... it's gone downhill while the prices have gone up. Really a disappointing meal tonight. The Ruben used to be the best quality pulled beef and just amazing, but now it's cheap, fatty, chewy, meat. The Schnitzel was top notch but no longer. So I understand a brewery took over. Not a beer drinker so wouldn't impact me. But my friends who are beer drinkers highly recommend this establishment for their beer flight options. I started with the house salad - nice assortment of mixed greens and vegetables. The vinegarette was very nice. I saw the Reuben on other reviewers' pages and my decision was made. Rather than strips of meat, it appeared to be chopped. It was beautifully sloppy just what I want from a Reuben. The French fries were hot and crisp but unfortunately over salted. If you're into beer the brewery has a wide variety of options. Our meals were all good, higher quality and original options. The Schnitzel was awesome and the fire sauce is spicy! We hadn't been to Harmony Inn for quite a while, and now we remember why. Service was very slow! We waited for someone to acknowledge we were standing in front them at the host stand. We waited for water. We waited for our drinks, which came out AFTER appetizers. We waited for a box after asking twice. I could go on. On top of this, we sat outside and did not realize they allow SMOKING on their patio. Make the sign bigger and much more obvious. As an asthmatic with an asthmatic child, this was a terrible experience. We felt like we were in a time warp - this is seriously part of your experience in 2025?! All around, terrible experience. What a massive disappointment. Ordered the pork jagerschnitzel and paid a $4 upcharge for potato pancakes based on pictures I saw of both on previous Yelp reviews. The schnitzel was small, I'd guess no more than 4 oz of meat, and the gravy looked nothing like what was apparently served in the past. Taste was just OK, seemed to have minimal bacon. What was really awful were the potato pancakes. They looked nothing like the pictures and actually resembled hash browns. BAD hash browns. They were tasteless. Everything on the plate was served a couple degrees above room temperature. There's no way their food cost on this meal was more than $3 and it cost $30 with the upcharge. On top of the terrible value of the meal, the service was just as bad. We were there with a party of six and waited FOREVER to have our order taken, first for drinks, then the meal. A round of drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive and I'm not sure we would've gotten them at all if we didn't ask the server. She mentioned something about an event going on upstairs and the bar being backed up, but I don't see any events listed for 10/2 on their website. Coincidentally, the drinks showed up about a minute after we asked. Pictures are of my meal and a jagerschnitzel and potato pancakes previously posted on yelp for comparison. My wife ordered the grilled chicken spaetzle. She was served spaetzle, and some dry cubes of chicken, but there were minimal, if any, "sauteed onions or herbs in a creamy butter sauce".
