All I can say is wow! Just walked out the door writing this from my car. That place just made my week. The service was amazing, super fast and seated ourselves considering it isn't a busy night. The waiters and waitresses were nothing but amazing the whole night cracking jokes and adding compliments, it was lovely. The food was also something special. I ordered 14 jumbo wings and wasn't expecting much but, when they came out in bowls drenched in sauce I was like woahhhhhhh. My girlfriend got a salad and she loved it, also ranch is amazing too. The ambiance inside was a mix of bar and dining room seating also inluding outdoor seating. I love the variety of menu options and also dining experience at this place. Stopped for a bite to eat around the lunchtime crowd and OMG what a surprise...usually I'm leery about potato pancakes cause I've been spoiled growing up eating my dad's recipe but this was quite the surprise...ordered an appetizer of salmon lox with capers and thin sliced red onion with potato pancakes...only suggestion I have is to serve with 3 potato pancakes instead of to use up all the delicious lox...I usually can't finish any dish I order but had no problem with this one...Bloody Mary was bloody good and spicy also...hat's off!!!! Went for dinner with family, crowded so a bit of a wait. Owner personally helped us get a table because my mom is wheelchair bound. Great start! Wait service was fast, drinks came and were good. Ordered our entrees and food showed up like 15 minutes later. While ordering a glass of wine, a family member told one of the waitresses that she didn't get her salad prior to her entree (then I realize I didn't either, fish dinner entree), the young red headed girl kinda shook her head and walked away. A few minutes later, the wine showed up, but no salads. Was the only bummer for the night. On a side note, the parking lot is gravel, a little tough to push a wheelchair, but not impossible. 5 stars except for salad mishap. read more

Been here quite a few times. Always had sandwiches all were great. Today I decided to have the prime rib that was on special. It definitely was not slow roasted!! It was more like a rib eye steak put on a grill. It had the char marks from the grill and was on the tough side. Told the waitress and she said I've wondered on a few of them myself. This place has a lot of potential, but just don't execute. They have some things that are mid at best. Don't get the pasta of any kind, they are all terrible. I was very impressed with the Field House. As we pulled in, the parking lot was full. After entering, we discovered they were hosting a wedding reception and a birthday party. The manager took our name and said we would be seated shortly. Once we were seated, our waitress was very delightful. They had a full menu and a full bar. Considering how busy they were, our food arrived quickly. The portions were large and the food was very tasty. If you are in the area, don't drive by, give it a try! read more

This little bar and restaurant in Cabot, PA that has gone through an amazing transformation! A local man and his wife purchased the bar/restaurant and small banquets facility and what was a so so place to eat has become a must stop restaurant on our frequently visited list! The specials are out of this world and there is an awesome back porch and beach volleyball court that has tons of seating!! They also just updated their banquet room and it is perfect for a birthday party, shower or small get together. It can be some slow service at times because they now get so busy, but don't let that stop you!! read more

We wanted to love it here. People let their kids run rampant all around this facility. We went to watch the Astros game and kids were table hopping to any and all open tables, throwing napkins and squirting, the table stored, ketchup, all over tables, chairs and floor. Management seemed to be walking around; just didn't care, or are okay with it. They probably leave it to their servers to clean. Luckily, the Astros were playing. This facility is definitely a one-star place but I guess a 4 / 5, for the people who seem to drop their kids off and run. High hopes but a definite no go. read more

1St time visitors . Really cozy and well lit bar area with lots of seating and lots of booths to get comfy in. Our server was awesome and he gave lots of suggestions depending on what kind of mood for food we were into. We got the meatball hoagie with fries and an extra side of white cheddar Mac and cheese . Fries were fresh cut and amazing , mac and cheese was even better and the meatball hoagie was very nice and tasty. Taco salad was the other entree and it was super as well . Appetizer of homemade chips and some ranch were phenomenal. The prices were super cheap compared to everywhere else recently and we will definitely be going back to visit . read more

I really love going to eat here. The restaurant and bar area can be full and have every seat taken and the food still comes out hot and the staff has been good to us every time. I highly recommend the gyros, and burgers. We usually go once a week. I have come for lunch and had a mixed drink the bartender did great! I ordered their jumbo wings for dinner and they bring out wing dings.. which is bs. the menu says jumbo - I want jumbo. and the food runner got in a argument with me saying jumbos are for only wing night only. well then change the menu and don't lie to your customers. They added a 20% gratuity to the bill when there was 7 of us. wasn't worth the tip, took forever to get beers had to order 2 at a time, service wasn't good at all, way to slow. Visited on A Saturday evening around 5:30. Busy but not crowded. It was a really nice experience. The staff was super friendly and attentive which goes a long way on its own. It was clean. French onion soup was excellent. Fries and chicken sandwich were top notch. Everything was quality, came out hot and quick. The dining room area separate from the bar is definitely an improvement since the new ownership. We'll definitely come back. I didn't give 5 stars because of past experiences and the ambiance and menu don't support 5 stars in my book. But I could be swayed in the future. Rude staff, incredibly terrible customer service. While visiting for a local baseball tournament we called over 2 hours ahead to alert the restaurant of a large 20+ group that would be coming in between games. The lady who answered was incredibly rude and told us to expect a long wait. Well, we shouldn't have tried to go, because when we arrived each of the staff told us we were "chaotic" and made it clear we were unwelcome. When the Owner was approached he seemed relieved that we were all leaving instead of staying to give them our business. We did not stay it was so uncomfortable and such a poor example to all of our youth players! read more

We recently had a reception for 60 people at the Field House. We had plenty of room, the buffet was fantastic, and the servers even trayed the cookies we took. Our three servers were attentive and friendly. My guests from out of the area loved it. When the children got rambunctious, they could run outside. The new owner, Rich, and banquet manager, Ashley, were so easy to work with and made the day special for us. Again, the food was delicious: we had the chicken parmesan and teriyaki crusted salmon with sides. The buffest was very reasonably priced. We've never been disappointed in our food or service since the new management took over. We used to avoid it because of slow service. Not any more. Take a trip to Cabot and enjoy yourself. read more

Let me just start out by saying I don't know the last time I have wrote a review for anywhere but I really felt the need to after our recent experience. I will say before anything I was a manager for over 8 years, a waitress and have been in customer service for more than 19 years. If I could give this no stars I would. I guess the 1 star could count for the food even though all of our fries were cold and there were still mistakes made by the kitchen staff but I will get into the bigger issue. Me and my husband have been here maybe about 6 times throughout the years. We looked forward to coming here each time and also, recommended the place to many because it's beautiful inside and out but each time we have come here the beautiful atmosphere does not show in the personalities that work here. In our 6 times of coming there, we have gotten some kind of attitude from either a waitress, a bartender and now this time the manager and owner. Between accidentally being in a waitresses way because we were standing around for a large party in the back or up by the busy bar. I understand they need to come through (Again I have been a waitress at a SMALL BUSY restaurant/bar) say excuse me in a nice way not coming through irritated and rolling their eyes back like we have intentionally been in their way. Also was nice enough to grab a guy a beverage he was asking the bartender for out of the OPEN refrigerator that's on the floor to help her not have to go through the crowd and give the bottle to her to check out for him. I was told "she will grab those" those refrigerators are not for us customers to freely open and give to the bartender to help her I guess? Then put lock's on them! A thank you would have been nice! Now this time, we had a reservation set for over a month for a large party, The way the manager and owner left the young waitresses high and dry to take the brunt of any complaint or cold food or reservations not being ready was sickening to see. You are in your position for a reason I would think right? Wrong! Shame on you guys for behaving the way you guys did to customers who at one point loved coming here and got such a terrible experience. We have no reason to come back to your establishment after being treated so poorly. Not to mention the poor old couple getting kicked out of their seats by your staff to make an extra table for our reservation when there were PLENTY of other tables and chairs available. The looks on the couples faces were appalled at the behavior after also witnessing the manager and her attitude towards the whole thing. Funny also, you can have a whole back area of your dining room set for a reservation that cannot be touched a WHOLE DAY BEFORE the reservation but can't have reservations set for the day of. How in the world does that even make sense?? I watched as You let a full on reservation party sit outside in the humidity when they were not all young chickens because you would not open the area with reservations for THE NEXT DAY to make room in the AIR CONDITIONING. Honestly, I could not believe what my eyes seen and what my ears heard. I hope as an "owner" and "'manager" you will try to get off your high horse and actually respect your customers who come in there to respect you and give you business. If you continue to defend the bad behavior it doesn't get you far. A good atmosphere and environment starts with good ownership. It's a domino effect when the owner can't even take accountability for wrong doings of his staff and especially one his managers. Customers flock to the personality of a business. I couldn't imagine either one of you being my customer and treating you like you had done something wrong when it was the fault of my staff and defending their rude behavior towards you guys. A sorry and let me try to make this better for you goes a long way no matter what business you are in. To stand there as a manager and watch US put tables and chairs together showed the true character and as the owner defending the managers horrible behavior towards us shows the true character also and by the way my fathers SURPRISE birthday was a horrible surprise because after 20 MINUTES of our reservation being set and the manager not willing to make anything right WE were busy trying to put tables and chairs together that your staff neglected to do. I know it does not matter to you guys but you have lost our respect and our willingness to want to come back to your establishment. God Bless. read more

Nice large bar. Also great outside patio bar in summer. Food is touch and go. I ordered stuffed Cornish Hen with wild rice. Lots of stuffing but not very tasty. Lack of sage for me. The wild rice was a joke. All it was was white rice no wild rice. I told the waitress and she said that's what they call it. I see so you call it wild rice it must be so. Stay with sandwich or taco salad. Dinners are lacking and obviously miss represented. My wife ordered crab cakes and received salmon dinner. read more

I rarely take the time to do reviews, but I felt I needed to due to the incredibly poor experience we had. In always wanting to give the benefit of the doubt, I honestly don't know who or what was to blame for all that happened. The Readers Digest Review: VERY slow service. Not so good food. No drinks until after meals were served. There were four of us (2 couples) for dinner. We arrived around 5:15 or so and were told to seat ourselves. Due to the weather being so mild, we chose to sit outside. All of us found it pretty cool to see a game of sand volleyball being played as well as cornhole, people playing frisbee and children playing on the little playground area. Shortly after we were seated, we received 3 menus for the 4 of us. Unfortunately, from that point on, something went completely wrong with the service. It took at least 20 minutes for the waitress to come back to us to take our drink order consisting of 2 glasses of ice water, a gingerale and a beer. Because of how long it took, we placed our orders including the crab cake appetizer at the same time. After another at least 20 minutes, only two of us got the salads and no one got any drinks. A nearby table was getting refills (by the same waitress) while we didn't even get our first - all by the same waitress. After another 15 minutes or so and a few attempts at trying to flag down the waitress, we finally got to ask her for our drinks. By this time, we were done with the two salads; the third one still hadn't come. We continued to wait...and wait...and wait and the two of us that got the salads now got our food and the crab cake appetizer all at the same time. Very shortly before that the third salad came along with the 2 glasses of water and the gingerale - still no beer. Two of us were completely done eating our whole meal and the other couple didn't even get theirs yet. When the waitress made it over, she commented on them still not having their dinners yet. I'm guessing it was at least 20 minutes after the first 2 meals were served before the final meals were served. I don't remember how long it took for the beer to make it to the table, but I do know it was after all of the meals were served. (Keep in mind that he wasn't even served a glass of water.) The food: Unfortunately, the chicken marsala just wasn't any good. Though the chicken was fork-tender, it had a thick dark brown sauce with chopped up mushrooms. I didn't taste any marsala in it at all. Neither did the other couple who was with us. It tasted like slightly burnt beef gravy. Not appetizing at all. I will say the crab cake was decent as well as the ribeye steak, but the fries that came with the steak were limp and cold. The other couple got the pork steak and said it was so-so, nothing great. They also got the grilled pork & cheese which was actually interesting...in a good way. They commented that it was good. Both of their meals came with fries (better/fresher than the ones that came with the steak), BUT: the one had ordered onion rings and the other had ordered the roasted veggies, not fries. The correct sides were brought about 5 - 10 minutes later. Needless to say our experience was not pleasant. I noticed another couple that all they received were their drinks and had no food served the whole time we were there. read more

This is my favorite watering hole especially in the summer when they have the deck open with an open bar fire pits as well as a volleyball court for weekly teams to play. They have a small playground area for young children and it's a nice place to bring your family. While the bartenders assistance was admirable, I sat for 15 mins with my entrees salad and no silverware to enjoy it with. We have eaten here several times, and each time it just seems to get worse and worse. We sat outside on the patio which is a decent atmosphere, but the floor was sticky, the table was wobbly and we were served wine in plastic cups. Definitely a turn off. The drinks were pricey and the waitress was pretty inattentive. We paid $30 for the evening special which was supposed to be slow roasted prime rib. We ordered ours medium rare and I was served a piece that was very well done. It was tough, dry and not seasoned at all. When we brought this to the servers attention, we were told that that was all that was left "because it cooked all day." Unacceptable for the price that we paid! It should have been taken off then menu. Also- it was only 6:30 PM on a Friday night! Side dishes were bland and small. The basket of chips was cold and chewy. We probably won't be back. read more
