Hard to believe we've been coming here since this place opened in 2003! Where did that time go? Anyway, we come here for special occasions like birthdays, and anniversaries annually. We've really never had a bad meal here. We've had a few meals that were better than others. Post Covid, the service has varied from visit to visit. They still have a nice little early happy hour from 4 PM to 6 PM with drink specials and some appetizers in the bar. They do have nightly specials that they tend to post online midday. In the first I would say 15 years of coming, we used to get a free birthday dessert if you were, I think a member of their club or whatever, but I know there were other times that they used to ask if you were celebrating anything special when you were seated and for an anniversary, they would give us a free glass of champagne or dessert to share or something like that. I made a reservation for our anniversary online in advance , and I even mentioned in the comment box that we were celebrating our 33rd anniversary, but this time no mention of it from staff, so we didn't bother to mention it either. It was the Friday before Labor Day weekend and so they do tend to get busy by 5 o'clock, and the bar is typically full by 5 o'clock for happy hour. They only had two bartenders on, one of which was taking care of the tables so bar service was a little bit slow. It took us a little bit of time to pay before heading out to the hostess stand to get our table. Once we were seated at our table, it was close to 10 minutes before a young male server came by. I attribute this to back to school time when they've lost a lot of their employees and then of course being a Friday before a holiday weekend a lot of people bail out on work too. It is still our favorite restaurant in the area though so I'm keeping my five star rating. My husband had the chicken marsala which was delicious. I had a 6 ounce fillet with broccoli as my side. I had asked for medium rare and it was actually quite rare, I could've sent it back and had it cooked a little more, but I just ate it rare & it still tasted fine. We'll return in a few months for a birthday meal I'm sure. It's an old school classy vibe place, but still very casual. Varied menu & I like their steaks and I feel although steak is quite expensive right now that there's is actually more reasonably priced than some of the other local restaurants. I believe it was $38 for the 6 ounce fillet that came with one side. I recommend their lemon drop martini at happy hour. read more

The food was so good. This place is along with a couple other business in the family. My favorite is The Log Cabin in the group but all the food is amazing here too. The Spinach Artichoke Dip was super good and the chips were the right amount of salty. The Steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. The ceasar salad was delicious but I forgot to get a picture. The Creme Brulee was simply Devine and had a great taste but I did find it a bit skimpy as there wasnt much in the bowl. Our server was super cute and very friendly and attentive. She was very efficient as well and knowledgeable about the menu. I do wish there were more Gluten Free options.... at least a GF bun which would make it more allergen friendly. Springfield is an oldie but goodie for us, as it's so close to home. We celebrated our daughter's baptism here and had a large party, yet service was excellent! The restaurant has a classy lodge vibe and diverse menu. My wife got scallops and greatly enjoyed her dish. Light and tasty. I got the balsamic chicken, and it was excellent. The star of the show for me was the artichokes - they were cooked to perfection. I got a lot of food for a very reasonable price. Tasty dish but chicken was a little dry. Overall, a fantastic place for dinner with loved ones when celebrating a special occasion. read more

We've eaten here before and had good experiences. When we come to town we like to host the family and tend to be about 15 people; that's how large our group was this last Sunday. Surprisingly, it was not croweded at all. I give a lot of credit to our server who did a great job, with one notable exception. I ordered the salmon entree for $27. When I asked to add asparaus as my side, I was told that would be an additional $7 and I agreed. When my plate arrived, I was shocked. For $34 dollars I didn't expect to receive an item from the Kiddie menu, but that's how it looked. The salmon was good, and the asparagus was ok. After I finished my meal I was still very hungry, as 99% of adults would be. I didn't want to make a scene - afterall this was a family gathering where we traveled from Colorado. Luckily, my husband was across from me and told me there were an excess of roasted potatoes as part of his steak salad. That saved me from starvation. I would still return to the Springfield Grille, but I advised that the staff warn customers when portions are exceedingly small to avoid extreme disappointment and hunger after eating. read more

My girlfriend and I dined here for the first time the evening of May 21. I love everything about the restaurant! It is beautiful, immaculate, comfortable, and classy, with the feel of a private club, but not stuffy. Parking is convenient and ample. Our food was delicious and the prices for many items are surprisingly reasonable. We especially enjoyed the complimentary warm, fresh bread and soft butter and the zucchini fries. Our server, Toni, did a lot to make the meal enjoyable for us. She is welcoming, friendly, attentive, and gracious. The waitress was lovely. We had a reservation, but the two frumpy young women at the hostess station were more engrossed in their phones than customer attention. It was like the customer was an afterthought. We had been there many times without incident, that is why we decided on your restaurant for a birthday dinner. None of us have talked about our experience as wonderful. I ordered the scallops, which I periodically cook for myself, and these were horrible. I've never in my life tasted scallops that seemed to be either marinated in some type of brine or simple vinegar. I still do not understand how they were prepared, only that I am grateful that I did not get sick. I am not sure what has happened to your menu, but we were disappointed with our experience last evening. It was telling, that on Father's Day, the parking lot was not very full. We made a reservation for a birthday celebration, because we knew it was Father's Day and were concerned about being able to get a table. We love the Springfield grill and our server Maddie is wonderful. We were more than surprised by the additional charge for a very small side of the fire blue sauce for a sandwich. Given the side of what is provided, 1-2 dollars max is reasonable, but 4.00 for a side no bigger than a small ramekin is absurd. Especially when an appetizer for fireflies fries is only 5.00. Everything we had was not prepared well! The meatloaf was cold, my hamburger was salty and also came out cold. The manager did not seem to care much. He brought out new meals but offered nothing to my wife and I for a lousy dinner. Had to ask him to do something for us. The Springfield Grill in Mars, PA is a bit of a mixed bag. On the positive side, the service is always top notch--the waitstaff are consistently attentive, friendly, and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The presentation of the dishes is also very good; plates come out looking well-prepared and appealing. Unfortunately, the overall taste doesn't quite live up to the appearance. Any restaurant in their restaurant group is amazing. We love all their restaurants and have been going to them near Grove City and in Youngstown since the 90s. This Springfield Grill is where we had the rehearsal dinner for our wedding 9 years ago. It was delicious then and everyone loved it. We all loved the filet. I think other people liked the chicken too. This time, my mom, husband and I really enjoyed it. My husband loved his chicken Marsala. My mom loved her filet sandwich. I loved the pot roast which is always a favorite of ours. Everything is always delicious and cooked to perfection. Go check them out for a great local experience. read more

Nice meal! However the water In the bathrooms is boiling hot! Just 2-5 seconds under the tap my hands were in pain and remained red for over an hour. Really should put a sign in there warning people. Springfield Grill is a great go to that consistently serves good food at great prices. We had a grilled chicken Caesar salad and the Zing Chicken Pasta. Both were delicious. If you don't see something on the menu-be sure to ask, because they serve meals that aren't necessarily on the menu. Our server was good and very friendly, but I think she had too many tables to cover--she kept promising to get us things that she kept forgetting. They used to have someone walking around to just refill water glasses and bring more bread (which is delicious !), but now that falls on the server. This place is always good . read more

I love Springfield grille! It's so reasonably priced and a good portion size where you don't feel overly full. We had the special Italiano steak for $26, and the zing chicken for $16. I was surprised it was ACTUALLY spicy. Very rarely do places do spicy and it actually is. Service was fast and good. I wish it had a prettier interior but it's definitely an older vibe. An organization I'm a part of was hosting a dinner for several people and made a reservation for Springfield Grille. I hadn't been here before, and not being from the area I wasn't terribly familiar with the menu either. Little did I know that the event would be catered with various appetizers for sampling so that wasn't a big issue in the end. When my family arrived we were greeted by a friendly hostess who took us to the private dining area in the back. The area was nicely decorated and the food provided looked at tasted great! I sampled crab cakes, seared bluefin tuna, the chip and artichoke dip, and zucchini fries with different dipping sauces. There were also Brie cheese wheels and toasted breads that I didn't try but heard were good. I was very happy with the appetizers provided and the service we received from the waitstaff. We have not been to the Springfield Grille, but we had a really nice dinner on Wednesday night with friends. Each couple ordered an appetizer, us the blue fire fired and then the zucchini, we really enjoyed ours! I ordered the crab cakes and my husband ordered the blue fire steak. Both we thought were good but the prices were a little high. My husband ordered a glass of wine and we took a dessert home, so our bill was over $100. Management - we recommend that you take down older reviews referencing excellent Easter Brunch. It was those prior reviews that led us here for what we expected to be an Easter brunch. Instead, there were no breakfast items or anything resembling an Easter brunch, other than a handful of specials. I got the specials thinking that would be a good idea since this was a special occasion. The berry salad was a $10 salad that consisted of three pieces of bib lettuce, four slices of strawberry and a handful of blueberries. It came with pistachios and almonds, but since I'm allergic to almonds, I asked for no almonds and got no nuts at all. Taste was good but seemed ridiculous as a special salad as small as it was (seriously three leaves). The specialty honey tea cocktail tasted great, but had a mealy mint leaf that was yellow and black in it. We were never offered bread and butter even though every table around us had it and also never got waters. I got the fillet medallions and mushroom risotto, special, and it was excellent. My husband got ham dinner with roasted carrots and scalloped potatoes. Carrots were raw. Potatoes had no presentation just dumped on the plate. Server was very pleasant and nice, but overall not really the kind of white tablecloth fine dining experience we would expect. read more

Honestly it has been a while since my family had a meal where everything was done right. The service was outstanding. The salmon was not over cooked, was just right. I like my burgers medium rare do you know how hard it is to get anywhere to cook that at a correct temp? I would estimate that it is only done correctly about 7% of the time at any restaurant. The fries were not over seasoned. The salad was obviously extremely fresh lettuce. All the things i expect to be wrong at almost every restaurant were actually right.
