Andora is always a safe choice when deciding where to eat, whether it is for lunch or dinner. This time, I went for lunch and ordered the Calamari for the appetizer and the Ahi Tuna for my main dish. The Calamari was warm and crispy and the Thai Chili Sauce pairs perfectly. We even had left over calamari to take home. The Ahi Tuna was cooked perfectly and the wasabi and eel sauce tasted fantastic together. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu and it was phenomenal. It was light and fluffy but full of flavor. The chocolate and caramel sauce, as well as the whipped cream, complemented it well. The service is always fantastic and they are very accommodating. The restaurant is super clean, but some tables can feel very close to others. Overall, we will continue to dine at Andora!!

Andora on Mt. Nebo Road in Sewickley is an absolute find! This charming spot serves up lunch and dinner with a delicious selection of New American entrees, wine, and craft cocktails--all in a stylish, cozy space complete with a fireplace, a spacious bar, and the most magical outdoor patio (think twinkle lights and a fountain... yes, please!). I went for dinner with a friend--such a great girls' night or date night destination! To drink, we enjoyed wine and a strawberry bellini made with fresh strawberry purée and prosecco. Their cocktail menu is perfection. We started with the three-cheese stuffed zucchini ribbons in a sweet red pepper cream sauce, and wow--the best zucchini dish I've ever had. We also shared the jumbo lump crab cake, lightly baked and served with a red onion caper sauce--super fresh and full of flavor. Next, we split the house salad, a refreshing mix of greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, black olives, feta, roasted red peppers, and their homemade Andora dressing (who doesn't love a homemade dressing?!). For our entrees, we tried the braised BBQ short rib--topped with crispy onion straws and served with green beans and garlic mashed potatoes--yum! The Andora Chicken was another standout: tomatoes, artichokes, capers, banana peppers, asparagus, and seven-pepper risotto. It was full of flavor and totally hit the spot. I seriously cannot wait to go back and enjoy dinner on their dreamy patio under the stars. Loved everything about my experience!

A group of us went to Andora based on someone's recommendation. I ordered 2 appetizers as my meal, dynamite shrimp and zucchini ribbons. The dynamite shrimp was described as being crispy with a spicy Asian sauce. The sauce was a mild aioli with about as much Asian character as rural Iowa. The shrimp seemed like they were taken from a bag of frozen breaded shrimp. The zucchini seemed like a good idea in theory, but in practice it was a bland stuffing wrapped in zucchini ribbons (accurate description) with some cheese and a red pepper sauce. The sauce tasted like red bell pepper without much in the way of seasoning. I got 4 wraps, but another order came out with 5. Was I shorted or did they get a bonus? We'll never know, but once I started eating, I wasn't disappointed. Bottom line, the food was forgettable. Why 2 stars instead of 1? The wait staff were great! They were helpful and attentive; they get 5*, but we go out to eat for the food.

Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Dinner with Parmesan Risotto and fresh green beans. This is just what I had left over to take home! Delicious.

The crab cakes are their best known entree and they are delicious but you can go wrong. The Seabass is amazing and prepared perfectly. The risotto and vegetables were as amazing as the entrees

Andora restaurant offers dining in, takeout, and catering. Its menus list foods such as shrimp bisque, sandwiches, calamari, linguini, salmon, and short rib. Many wines, beers, and cocktails are also available. Please see my attached photos for the dinner menu in April 2024. I made a reservation online for dinner for my husband and me. The restaurant emailed me a coupon for a free appetizer. On the day of the reservation, a seating hostess promptly seated us. Our waitress, too, provided timely and courteous service. Here are my husband's and my ratings for our foods: Bread - 4 stars - This bread was free, and it came with olive oil. It was fresh and tasted good. Dynamite shrimp - 4.5 stars - My husband said that this appetizer was his favorite food here. A large number of fried shrimps were coated in a slightly spicy sauce. Soup of the day - 4 stars - The soup was cream of mushroom. I received a large cup of it, and I liked it. Jumbo lump crab cake dinner - 4.5 stars - This entree contained one large crab cake that was very meaty and flavorful (5 stars). On the side was asparagus (4.5 stars) and rice (4 stars). Filet mignon - 4.5 stars - The chef cooked this steak as my husband had requested. He enjoyed the sides of mashed potatoes and green beans. The menu for dessert included cheesecake, brownie, and creme brûlée, but we did not order dessert. Other important information: The dress code appears to be smart-casual. My husband and I, as well as many other customers, wore jeans. Furthermore, the restaurant charges a 3.5% convenience fee for using credit cards.

Kids chicken fingers.. tasted as burnt as they look.

Ordered take out, one meal was the horseradish cod, the piece of fish was so small you would have through it came off the kids menu plus it was extremely bland. The stuffed zucchini ribbons looked like they were run over by a car and had a very odd flavor. The kids chicken fingers were so burnt we had to throw them away. My wife did enjoy the spinach salad but a few of the things that were supposed to come on it didn't exist. We have dined in before and it was good, the take out experience was horrible. $130.00 down the drain.

Popular white-table-cloth restaurant in the Sewickley area. 4 couples ate lunch after church one Sunday. Half of us got the crab cake salad, the other half ordered the salmon salad, and the odd man out managed to eat an entire burger and most of his fries. (I helped--they were good!) Staff are friendly and helpful, and prices are reasonable for the food and atmosphere (~$65 for burger, salad, a glass of unobjectionable pinot grigio, and a tip). Free parking lot just for the restaurant.

A beautiful place for outdoor dining! I visited on a weeknight when they had 50% off wine bottles - such a great deal and made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was good, though a little pricey. I do wish they had some more vegetarian options, but I really enjoyed the margherita flatbread and stuffed zucchini appetizer. Service was quick and friendly!

Their lent menu is a little more trimmed down than their regular food truck menu I have seen before. I got the fish sandwich, hush puppies, and a large side of lobster mac and cheese. It was a little pricey, $31. The lobster mac and cheese was as much as the sandwich for a container the size of a to-go soup bowl which seemed like a little much. There weren't that many lobster pieces for the price, like 3 or 4 decent-sized chunks, and the mac and cheese itself was pretty bland. The fish sandwich was the best part but I still wasn't wow-ed; I was also charged $1 for one slice of american cheese. I'm fine with paying extra for things, that just seemed excessive. The hush puppies and fries were clearly just frozen, and the fries were cold. For the price, I wouldn't come back here during lent but may visit the food truck at a different time to see the bigger menu.

My husband and I have eaten here twice--once for lunch last year and once for dinner this year. Both times, we enjoyed the employees' service and the foods. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Passionfruit-Paloma Mocktail - 4 stars - sour. Spring Sangria - 4.5 stars - slightly fruity. Jumbo Pretzel - 5 stars - huge size with beer cheese and mustard sauce. French Onion Soup - 5 stars - This soup had a rich broth, onions, and cheese. Ybor Cuban sandwich - 4.5 stars - nicely crunchy toast with tasty pork, ham, and Swiss cheese and a side of crispy onion rings. Salmon - 5 stars - I ordered this entree both times. The salmon was perfectly cooked and came with flavorful farro grains, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus. Filet Mignon - 5 stars - This 8-ounce steak was cooked mid-rare as my husband prefers. It came with whipped potatoes and his choice of au poivre style (black pepper crusted with bourbon cream).

Excellent Food in a Family-Owned Spot, But Transparency, Noise, and a Few Service Touches Need…read morePolishing (4/5 Overall)** I visited Wexford Public (12087 Perry Hwy, Wexford, PA) recently for dinner with my family, drawn by its reputation as a locally owned, chef-driven American restaurant in the heart of Wexford. Owned by longtime locals John and Melanie Dober, it positions itself as a warm, community-focused spot blending upscale comfort food with a welcoming vibe--think handcrafted sandwiches, premium Black Angus steaks, fresh seafood, flatbreads, and daily specials, all with thoughtful wine and bourbon selections. We were excited for what promised to be a polished neighborhood gem, and in many ways, it delivered. The food was genuinely great and the clear highlight. Our dishes were flavorful, well-executed, and creative without being fussy--fresh ingredients shone through, portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and beautifully plated. It's easy to see why so many reviewers rave about the crab cakes, steaks, and chef specials; the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. This is elevated American fare that feels special yet approachable, and we'd happily return just for the meals. That said, a few aspects fell short and left us feeling the overall experience wasn't quite as seamless as the food deserved. First and foremost, the billing transparency issue was disappointing. They add a 3% bank/credit card processing fee to the check (which adds up quickly on a family dinner), but this isn't disclosed on the menu, at the table, or in any obvious way during the ordering process. There's only a small sign posted outside the restaurant. We only noticed it when the bill arrived, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a clear policy. In an era where many restaurants are upfront about surcharges (or absorb them), this lack of disclosure came across as sneaky and detracted from the otherwise positive value perception. The atmosphere was another mixed bag. The space itself is attractive--soft lighting, comfortable seating, and that friendly "upscale brew pub" energy the owners aim for. However, it was noticeably noisy during our evening visit. Conversations required raised voices, especially as the dining room filled up, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal fully. OpenTable rates the noise as "moderate," but on our night it tipped louder than that, possibly due to the layout or lack of sufficient sound absorption. A bit more attention to acoustics could make a big difference. Service was mostly attentive and efficient, but the management interaction stood out in a negative way. When we politely mentioned the surprise fee at the end of the meal, the response was an apology that felt scripted and insincere--like it had been delivered many times before without real follow-through or ownership. It didn't leave us feeling heard or valued as guests. On a brighter note, the owners John and Melanie genuinely come across as lovely people. The restaurant has that personal, homegrown touch you can sense even when they're not physically present, and locals speak highly of them. They were absent during our nighttime visit, though, which is understandable for owners juggling a busy operation--but their warmth is missed when the front-of-house team is handling everything solo. In summary, Wexford Public excels where it matters most: the food is consistently excellent and worth the trip on its own. The family-owned charm and diverse menu make it a strong neighborhood choice for special occasions, casual dinners, or even happy hour in the cocktail bar. However, clearer communication about the credit card fee (ideally on the menu or bill upfront), better noise management, and more authentic handling of guest concerns would elevate it from very good to outstanding. We'll likely go back for the cuisine, but with tempered expectations on the finer details. If you're in the Wexford area and prioritize great American plates, it's still a solid recommendation--just check the small print before you pay.
