Pomodoro's is one of my favorite stops when I am in town. I always sit at the bar and the service is always quick. The bartender Taylor is great. She's always working her butt off and still doesn't make me wait on a drink. I don't venture far from their pizza and wings. Wings are meaty, crispy, and tender. Unlike the Buffalo Wild Wings in cranberry with small dry wings that sit in a drawer and come out cold. You can tell this place is full of regulars based on the interactions with the bartenders who tolerate some of the "funny" drunks here. If you come to watch a game here they do have a pretty decent tv setup but could be better. Personally recommend the meat eaters pizza add jalapeño (Taylor rec I've claimed) and their hot garlic wings (they add Parmesan which isn't stated on the menu). read more

I have been coming here for years and somehow I never posted a review. The food is excellent. I am normally here on Wednesdays when u can get the personal 1-topping pizza for $6, and that's always a steal. But tonite it was Thursday, and thank God Taylor was working. Seriously, this girl is the best and she is 75% of the reason people come here (maybe more than 75%). She works the bar as well as the tables and booths in the bar like nobody else. Many restaurants would staff 4 employees to service what they can do with 2. When I arrive and say hello, she is pouring my beer, it's a modern day Cheers Bar when Taylor is working. I love this place. I often like to reserve reviewing a location until going a few times to get a proper feel, but I am two for two and anticipate keeping that batting average up. The food is simply spot on. Chicken dishes, pasta dishes, veal dishes, nothing has disappointed yet. And I've been able to try several since both times all my table mates were good sharers. Full bar, decent wine and draft beer selection as well. Easy reservation system and always friendly service even when they're packed and stressed. read more

I recently ordered from this Italian restaurant and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience. My order arrived incorrect, which was frustrating to begin with. On top of that, the chicken alfredo I received barely had any sauce on it at all, but it did have a long strand of hair in it! Alfredo is supposed to be creamy and flavorful, but this dish was extremely dry and lacked the rich sauce that makes it enjoyable. When I called the restaurant, they asked for a picture. I had to drive back to the restaurant to show them in person. While they did refund the meal, this is the 2nd time in a row that I had issues. Not again. I hope the restaurant pays more attention to order accuracy and quality control in the future, because mistakes like this can really affect the overall experience. read more

Ordered a couple items for pickup, one was a Stromboli, started to eat it, very bland, cut it open and the only meat that was in there was ham, should have had salami and capicola. Called them, they wanted a picture, sent it to them, they sent a pic back with the 3 different meats, I said I know what cap and salami look like, I have just ham, they refused to credit my card back but said they would make me a new stromboli and I could pick it up, I was not driving back there. Horrible customer service. Will never order from them again. By the way we go there once a week for drinks, food....Good luck if you order take out. Mostly bar experience. Service is mixed, but there is one consistency; this place seems to have different classes for it's patrons. Smiles and quick service for some, attitude and waiting for others. Once you get to the food, you'll be fine as long as you stick to pizza and wings. Nothing else has impressed me, and if you get into their italian menu of pastas etc., you're gambling. Pomodoro's Pizzeria and Ristorante has a dining room and a full-service bar. Please see my attached photos for the menu of foods. My husband and I visited Pomodoro's for a Saturday lunch. An employee told us that the restaurant itself was currently closed but that we could eat in the bar area. My husband and I headed over to the bar, and we saw several booths and several high-top tables. We chose a table on our own. Minutes later, our waitress greeted us, gave us menus, and took our order. After fairly reasonable waits, she brought out our drinks and foods. My husband ate wedding soup, which he described as "nice;" veal marsala, which he said was "good;" green beans, which he said were cooked nicely and were flavorful; and risotto, which he said contained a lot of vegetables. I ate chicken parmesan, which consisted of two large pieces of chicken that had a crispy breading, sauce, and cheese; and penne, which was cooked well and topped with a tasty sauce. During the meal, our waitress checked in with us to see if we needed anything. At the end of the meal, she promptly brought our bill and a box for my leftovers, and she accurately processed our credit card payment. She kindly thanked us and told us to have a good day. Overall, the service and food were very good, especially for a bar. I do recommend that local residents try out this restaurant. My wife and I visited Pomodoro's for an early dinner today. We've been regulars here for years and particularly enjoy their pizza. The restaurant has a sports bar on one side and a sit-down restaurant on the other, separated by the kitchen. We chose to sit in the restaurant which, generally, is much quieter than the bar. The Steelers were playing the Jets, and the game was on a TV in the corner with no sound. Shortly after our food arrived, the Steelers' fortunes seemed to turn. Within minutes, a group of six to eight restaurant staff members were in the middle of the restaurant, cheering, hooting, hollering, and outright screaming in support of the Steelers. They completely disregarded the patrons there, who were trying to enjoy their meals. This was, by far, the rudest, most disrespectful, and most inconsiderate behavior I've ever experienced by employees in a restaurant or any other business setting. The pizza was still good, but I'm not sure if Pomodoro's deserves my business in the future. read more

Pomodoro's offers family dining at reasonable prices. They have decent pizza and pasta and their wine prices are good ($9 average). We had excellent service and good food when we visited a few weeks ago on a Friday night. The dining room was pretty crowded but we got a table right away which was great. We ordered the Seafood Diablo pasta with vodka sauce and linguini and a pizza. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was just spicy enough to give it some kick. There were nice big scallops and tender shrimp in the dish. The only downside was a few large pieces of scallop shell that were hidden in the sauce and not pleasurable to chomp on. I would order it again but be more careful with possible shells. It was delicious. The pizza was piping hot when it came out and had a nice assortment of veggies on it. It was a very tasty pie. Had a phenomenal time at Pomodoro's this evening celebrating my wife's birthday. The restaurant was tremendously accommodating for our party of eleven. Apps were delicious and hot. Pizza was crispy delicious and the pasta was spot on. I recommend their seafood pasta dish. Lots of seafood and pasta was done perfectly. I have said it before, the quality of the food here is a crap shoot. Unfortunately, my daughter wanted their pizza and wings . First mistake it was Halloween. There busiest day of the year. Accept the long wait time after putting the Oder. The middle of the pizza was soup. The wings which I had before again was a total disappoint for 1/ wings for $17. They were a pale yellow. . There may be overflow somewhere but I did not see. Food. The pizza was okay. If I was drinking beer, it would have been pretty good. Crust. The crust had some flop, but the topping made it a little too greasy. Sauce. Strength of the pie. There was a little too much sauce (cheese and toppings would slide off) Toppings. I came here for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon with a group of ladies. There were people on the bar area but the dining room had very little activity so we had the place to ourselves. We were seated right away and our drink orders were taken. Shortly afterwards the waitress was ready to take our orders. I had a cup of wedding soup and a caesar salad. The soup was delicious - flavorful broth and full of the usual pasta, meatballs and escarole. The salad was average - huge pieces of romaine with the ribs in, 3 small tomatoes, parm and croutons. The dressing was pretty tasty. After seeing others order the house salad, I wish I would have known what was in it because that would have been my first choice. But for a quick lunch, the soup and salad were ideal. Prices here for most of their menu items seem pretty high. It would definitely be a place I would split an entree, sandwich, wedgie, or pizza with someone for that reason. But we had great service, and the waitress had us in and out in less than an hour. read more

The Steak Philly hoagie was the worst thing in our order; no cheese, hardly any meat, and scarce amounts of peppers, onions and mushrooms. And who puts lettuce and tomato on a Philly steak?? A little family owned place near Soergel's. This was my first time here. The menu is extensive and the servers were very kind. My wife and I ordered an appetizer off the specials, brussel sprouts with pancetta and balsamic glaze. They were very good. The only problem was they came after our main course. Apparently the server said someone else took our order. My wife and I just ordered hoagies as a main course. I ordered a whole steak hoagie and received a half instead. That's fine, it was enough food. My wife had an Italian. They were fine but nothing to write home about. The food was slow to come and a bit cool when it arrived. This was the second time we stopped in on a Saturday night and could not get someone to take time to notice that we were waiting to be seated. There were two tables that needed to be bussed and a third one ready to open. There were two staff at the front desk doing nothing except chatting and answering for takeout orders, and there seemed to be extra hands in the kitchen. It would appear that they could benefit from hiring a bus person or simply better managing the help that they have. They eventually told us it would be a 20 minute wait, but we had made the decision to leave. Their food is typically okay, but the place always looks like it needs to be deep cleaned and there are better overall options for Italian food. We won't be back. read more

Will never be back. We decided to stop by for a drink because my parents were there with friends. We were there for 10 minutes before were kicked out at 8pm because other visitors complained about my young child. Visitors told us he was too tired and needed to go home and apparently the waitress agreed and ended up telling us people were complaining and to leave. Meanwhile also saying they stop allowing children in the area at 9pm. The visitors told us they were adults and deserved to have a good night out without the disruption. Apparently the workers agreed with her even though it was in the time frame of children being allowed there. Definitely will not be back and will not support this business again. read more

Love Pomodoro's! My coworkers and come all the time on Fridays for happy hour and we never leave disappointed! The bartenders and staff members are always friendly and attentive, and I never feel like they are short staffed. They also have great happy hour specials! 1/2 off ALL beer and liquor from 4:30-6:30! I haven't had too much off the menu, just a few different apps, but everything is great! I've seen other customers order pizza and wings and they always look delicious as well! read more

Pizza is some of the best in the Wexford area. The new bar area is nice as well. Service is hit or miss. It's hard to get someone to smile or not make you feel like you are bothering them. I always feel rushed when ordering take out on the phone so I use the online a lot. I know they are busy, and they have a lot going on between the dining room, kitchen, bar, and takeout...but it would be nice to not feel like you are bothering them when you place an order. I'm also not a "regular" so I sometimes have questions about items, and this also seems to bother them. Basically, food is great, atmosphere is great..lots of options (Outside, dining room, and bar) the cooks are consistent and put out some great stuff but you won't get that hometown/accommodating service here. So if you're good with that...get you some Pomodoro's. read more
