    Pies in the case

4.25. Visited today and has the misfortune to walk into the place jammed with little kids running around screaming while a group of parents stood talking and ignored them. The staff however remained cool, calm and kind despite what was happening there. They smiled and when it was my turn and greeted me. I have only had their cheese pizza before which is amazing. In the case they had pepperoni rolls, steak and onion rolls and garlic knots. Today I thought I would order two slices to try. In the case they mushroom, pepperoni, buffalo, spinach and tomato, sausage and pepperoni, and Santino. I selected a Buffalo chicken slice and a slice of Santino. They only took a few minutes to heat and be delivered. The buffalo chicken was just okay. I did go ask for some ranch which really helped. I forgot to ask for it when I ordered. Then I tried the Santino and really liked that one. It had pepperoni, sausage, meatballs and ricotta on it. I bet fresh pies of each are even better but these were good. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Thankfully the large group that was there when I arrived, left midway through my lunch. Unfortunately for the staff, not all the group cleaned up after themselves like you are supposed to. I will definitely go again and will order a whole pie fresh next time.

One of the best pizza places around. They have the largest selection of daily Slice options of anyone. Service is always fast and friendly. I always enjoy trying slices of their red and white pizza.

Really good pizza by the slice. Plain cheese may be the best. Worth the trip to give it a try!

The sauce is 10 out of 10 the sausage had a little heat which made it perfect and the roni was amazing- Definitely the best pizza I've had in PA! As a former Pizza Guy who has had over 500 different slices from all over New York and New Jersey I can say these guys are definitely in my top 5. Just a side note- taste a slice - if you want it to taste the same as it does in the store ask them NOT to cut your pie And when you get home put your oven on 450 and heat it up for 2 to 3 minutes depending on how you like your crust- looking forward to trying their other locations to see which pizza guy is the best!

It's my third year living in PGH; being a transplant from NJ, it took me a while to locate a pizza place since I'm picky & like my crust, sauce, cheese, etc a certain way. When visiting NJ, I literally would bring back multiple pizzas to freeze in PGH since I couldn't find any local places that made true NY style. I joined a Facebook group for Pittsburgh pizza lovers & someone suggested this place. It's solid, and satisfies my pizza cravings! My favorite pizza places in Pittsburgh that I have tried are Badamo's & Fiori's. While it's not that level, it's still solid for NY style pizza. One thing that I don't understand is why this place is closed on Sundays-the only day of the week that I want pizza, to accompany watching football since I don't want to get up off my sofa to cook. I don't recommend getting slices at the actual store but ordering a fresh pie. The calzones here are not good- I have tried them 2x so I feel comfortable saying that. the dough is inconsistently cooked & they are soggy and watery. Ginormous is huge, so if you have a family of 4, it's perfect. If you have two adults, a large size is fine-you will have plenty of leftovers.

I stopped by here a couple of Tuesday's ago with my wife. We have both eaten at a slice on Broadway before and so we were excited whenever we drove past one on this day on our way to an appointment. After looking at the menu, my wife called in the order for an extra large pepperoni pizza and we were told that it would be 20 minutes. We arrived to the restaurant about 30 minutes later and the pizza was ready. The shop itself has some seating whenever you first enter and then a counter at the back. On the day that we were there, I only saw a single person working, but there was likely more. Once we got home, we dug into our pizza. As with most pizzas, this one can be broken down into its major components of crust, cheese and sauce. Starting off with the cheese, it had a good coverage on the pizza and a decent enough taste. Then the sauce here was present but as with all Slice on Broadway pizzas that I have had (I looked at my reviews for other locations), it gets overwhelmed by the cheese and toppings and just isn't that memorable. Last but certainly not least is the crust of the pizza which is the star at Slice on Broadway. It's a thin crust with a nice crispness which both my wife and I love. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. While Slice on Broadway isn't the cheapest pizza place around, the crust of their pizza makes it a worthwhile place to stop.

This is the best "NY-style" pizza I've found so far in the north hills. The fact that they sell pizza by the slice is a major plus, too! I didn't know that until I picked up our pizza, but now I know I have somewhere new to go for lunch! I have gotten pizza from them twice now (once delivery, once pick up) and it has been consistent on both occasions. The crust of the pizza is thin, and the cheese has a great flavor. The crust is the right combo of crunchy and soft. It's greasy like a typical NY pizza, which I appreciate. It tasted just as good reheated after a couple of days too. This is definitely my new go-to pizza spot in the North Hills! I am interested to check out their specialty pies and slices in the near future.

    Pizza di Broccolini

We were so excited when we saw Slice on Broadway come to Wexford! My husband and I have already ordered takeout from here a few times. Both times we have gotten the Pizza di Broccolini - a white pizza with ricotta, sausage, garlic, and broccolini. When we have gotten the large, I think the crust was more sturdy and held the toppings compared to the ginormous which was narrow, flimsy pieces. Nonetheless, the flavors were there and the crust around the edge was tender and fluffy on the inside. We will be back to try other combinations in the future!

That's not getting me very far

Thanks for the two teaspoons of sauce for an entire calzone. Your pizza is sauce anorexic as well. Help me understand the reason behind this because your other location doesn't do it

Menu items include not only pizzas but also appetizers (e.g., fries, jalapeño poppers, and provolone sticks), salads, hoagies, pepperoni rolls, strombolis, calzones, gyros, wings, etcetera. Prices are reasonable. On a Friday afternoon, I ordered food for delivery. I did not see online ordering, so I placed my order over the phone. An employee immediately answered the phone, and he took my order and credit-card numbers. About 45 minutes later, an employee delivered the foods to me on time. He made pleasant conversation about his fun, gigantic pen that I used to sign the receipt, and he said, "Thank you!" Here are my reviews for the foods: Maisie sticks - 4 stars - The online menu describes these Maisie sticks as "thick soft garlic breadsticks with dipping sauce," but the ones that I received were topped with cheese. Did I receive the wrong breadsticks? Well, they tasted good. Cheddar-steak hoagie - 4.5 stars - This hoagie typically contains steak, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, cheddar cheese sauce, but my husband requested no green peppers. The employee correctly made the hoagie without the green peppers. I saw lots of steak and cheese. As my husband ate the hoagie, he said, "Yeah, I like this thing!" Pizza with broccoli - 4.5 stars - I had requested a small pizza with thin crust, but the crust looked more like regular crust. I had chosen a topping of broccoli, and I thought that the employee used a good amount of fresh broccoli. I enjoyed the flavors of this pizza. Garlic wings - 4 stars - I had ordered wings in a garlic flavor. Perhaps I should have chosen a spicier flavor, because my husband described the garlic as the "plainest ever." These wings were cooked well. On the menu, I saw "Jocey Bites," but I did not ask the restaurant what they are. Does anyone here know what "Jocey Bites" are? Thank you!

My husband and I have been a customer of this Roma restaurant on Perry Highway three times: twice for eating in the dining room and once for getting takeout. The menu lists soups, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, entrees such as chicken piccata, etcetera. For our first visit, the seating hostess took a couple of minutes to seat us although many tables were available. Then she told us, "Help yourselves" and walked away. A lunch buffet was set up nearby and offered several foods for $10 per person, but my husband and I did not want the buffet. Several minutes later, the waitress returned, and we asked her for menus, which she gave us minutes later. We placed our order. When the waitress brought out our foods later, she saw my taking photos, and she began to pay more attention to us. She gave my husband a refill of soda. For our second visit, my husband and I got takeout food. The restaurant had the food ready on time. For our third visit, we ate in the restaurant shortly after they opened for the day. We were the first customers, so the waitress quickly served us. Throughout the service, she was very friendly, and she made no mistakes with taking our order or with bringing our foods, beverages, and bill. Here are my reviews for my husband's and my foods: Caesar salad - 4 stars - The lettuce, tomatoes, olives, cheese, croutons, and dressing were fresh and tasted good. Strawberry chicken salad - 4 stars - The field greens, strawberries, grilled chicken, feta cheese, toasted almonds, and dressing were fresh and tasted good. Junior pizza - 4 stars - My husband and I shared this junior-sized pizza. His half was topped with meatballs that he enjoyed, and my half was topped with green peppers that were fresh. Garlic bread - 4 stars - The slices of bread were large and had a crispy crust and buttery center. Carbonara - 4.5 stars - My husband ordered this entree for both dining in and takeout. He gave his opinion of this entree without my having to ask: "I like this. This is good!" The angel hair pasta and the fettuccine were cooked well, and the cream sauce was rich and flavorful. Chicken marsala - 4.5 stars - This entree was smaller than I had expected, but I liked the taste of the chicken, mushrooms, and sauce. For my sides, I chose broccoli and a house salad, and the ingredients were fresh. Chicken wings - 4.5 stars - These wings tasted spicy but also sweet and very good. The meat was large and juicy. My husband chose bleu cheese for dipping. Provolone wedges - 4.5 stars - This appetizer consisted of several large pieces of fried provolone. The cheese was very gooey and rich. A tasty sauce was on the side. Chicken parmigiana - 4.5 stars - For this entree, two large, juicy pieces of chicken were breaded, fried, and topped with sauce and cheese. On the side was my husband's choice of pasta, a fresh salad, and garlic bread. Lasagna - 4.5 stars - This entree consisted of one large piece of lasagna. It contained the right amount of noodles, beef, sauce, and cheese. My sides were a fresh salad and garlic bread.

There were only a few tables filled on a Saturday night which seemed odd but they had 10-15 staff cranking out pizzas in their kitchen so they must do a huge take out business. Our waiter was very nice and not very knowledgeable about wing sauces or best selling pizzas so we assumed he was new and not very well trained. We requested a BBQ & Hot Sauce combo for our bone in wings that was super delicious and not an option on the listed sauce options. We asked for well done wings and they were nicely cooked. We ordered a medium pizza well done with pepperoni, extra mushrooms (they were fresh which is good but not very many for extra) and black olives on half. The waiter forgot our side of marinara and brought it microwaved in its little plastic container (a definite no-no). The pizza was pretty pedestrian, nothing special. They have a huge bottle/can beer selection and a few on draft. You have to ask for a glass. Families seem to love their specials and relaxed dining room. They have two big TVs with sports on them. A gentleman that came in near the end of our meal with his three sons and another couple asked to change both TVs to what he wanted to watch even though we were watching a game on one. Would have been nice if the waiter asked to change our station but there you have it.
