Came here on the way home after a long hike on a Monday evening and was glad I finally got to try this pizza spot. It wasn't too crowded as there were still several seats available inside plus a bench outside, but I chose to eat outside because it was such a beautiful day. I really like the business model where you can grab a single slice and actually see the pizzas before choosing. Sometimes you just want a slice or two instead of committing to a whole pizza, and it's nice being able to mix it up. At $4 per slice, it also feels like a pretty good deal considering how large and filling the slices are. I do wish there had been a few more pizza options available at the counter, but I also understand I came later on a Monday evening. They toast the pizza again really quickly after you choose your slices, and I loved that extra toasted texture, especially on the tomato spinach pizza. I'm a fan of New York-style pizza in general because I like that foldable, crispy texture and the balance between the cheese and crust. Interestingly, the pepperoni slice felt pretty different from the tomato spinach one crust-wise. I personally preferred the thinner, crispier crust on the tomato spinach, but I also appreciated the variety and liked the more comforting feel of the pepperoni pizza. I also loved that they had Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes available to add on top. Since they already have a topping counter, I think it could be cool if they also offered things like banana peppers, hot sauce, chili oil, truffle oil, garlic oil, or balsamic on top to compliment the different pizza flavors. read more

Good stuff. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, hot sausage, and their red/white sauce combo. Crust was crispy and seasoned. Toppings were generous and tasty. Sauce was amazing. Overall, great spot. Will be ordering from here again in the future for sure. read more

Best damn Italian hoagie I have ever had. Are you tired of local pizza shops serving Italian hoagies with meat you can almost see through. There was 3/4 of an inch of just the meats. Cheese was delicious, onion just the perfect amount. Leaf lettuce and not chopped iceberg. Home made vinaigrette. It was delicious. On top of that the guys running the place were friendly and really care about what they are doing. Give them a shot. You will not be disappointed. read more

4.25. Visited today and has the misfortune to walk into the place jammed with little kids running around screaming while a group of parents stood talking and ignored them. The staff however remained cool, calm and kind despite what was happening there. They smiled and when it was my turn and greeted me. I have only had their cheese pizza before which is amazing. In the case they had pepperoni rolls, steak and onion rolls and garlic knots. Today I thought I would order two slices to try. In the case they mushroom, pepperoni, buffalo, spinach and tomato, sausage and pepperoni, and Santino. I selected a Buffalo chicken slice and a slice of Santino. They only took a few minutes to heat and be delivered. The buffalo chicken was just okay. I did go ask for some ranch which really helped. I forgot to ask for it when I ordered. Then I tried the Santino and really liked that one. It had pepperoni, sausage, meatballs and ricotta on it. I bet fresh pies of each are even better but these were good. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Thankfully the large group that was there when I arrived, left midway through my lunch. Unfortunately for the staff, not all the group cleaned up after themselves like you are supposed to. I will definitely go again and will order a whole pie fresh next time. read more

The sauce is 10 out of 10 the sausage had a little heat which made it perfect and the roni was amazing- Definitely the best pizza I've had in PA! As a former Pizza Guy who has had over 500 different slices from all over New York and New Jersey I can say these guys are definitely in my top 5. Just a side note- taste a slice - if you want it to taste the same as it does in the store ask them NOT to cut your pie And when you get home put your oven on 450 and heat it up for 2 to 3 minutes depending on how you like your crust- looking forward to trying their other locations to see which pizza guy is the best! read more

It's my third year living in PGH; being a transplant from NJ, it took me a while to locate a pizza place since I'm picky & like my crust, sauce, cheese, etc a certain way. When visiting NJ, I literally would bring back multiple pizzas to freeze in PGH since I couldn't find any local places that made true NY style. I joined a Facebook group for Pittsburgh pizza lovers & someone suggested this place. It's solid, and satisfies my pizza cravings! My favorite pizza places in Pittsburgh that I have tried are Badamo's & Fiori's. While it's not that level, it's still solid for NY style pizza. One thing that I don't understand is why this place is closed on Sundays-the only day of the week that I want pizza, to accompany watching football since I don't want to get up off my sofa to cook. I don't recommend getting slices at the actual store but ordering a fresh pie. The calzones here are not good- I have tried them 2x so I feel comfortable saying that. the dough is inconsistently cooked & they are soggy and watery. Ginormous is huge, so if you have a family of 4, it's perfect. If you have two adults, a large size is fine-you will have plenty of leftovers. read more

I was so excited to see Slice come to Wexford! Slice makes a great NY style slice of pie. We usually stop in for a lunch slice at the other locations but have splurged on a whole pie and boy is it worth it! This is real food, real ingredients, made fresh and simple. The service is great and everyone was moving in and out quickly. I'm a plain kind of gal and the cheese slice hits the spot everytime. I stopped by here a couple of Tuesday's ago with my wife. We have both eaten at a slice on Broadway before and so we were excited whenever we drove past one on this day on our way to an appointment. After looking at the menu, my wife called in the order for an extra large pepperoni pizza and we were told that it would be 20 minutes. We arrived to the restaurant about 30 minutes later and the pizza was ready. The shop itself has some seating whenever you first enter and then a counter at the back. On the day that we were there, I only saw a single person working, but there was likely more. Once we got home, we dug into our pizza. As with most pizzas, this one can be broken down into its major components of crust, cheese and sauce. Starting off with the cheese, it had a good coverage on the pizza and a decent enough taste. Then the sauce here was present but as with all Slice on Broadway pizzas that I have had (I looked at my reviews for other locations), it gets overwhelmed by the cheese and toppings and just isn't that memorable. Last but certainly not least is the crust of the pizza which is the star at Slice on Broadway. It's a thin crust with a nice crispness which both my wife and I love. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. While Slice on Broadway isn't the cheapest pizza place around, the crust of their pizza makes it a worthwhile place to stop. read more

Why on Earth have I not stopped here for pizza sooner? A solid New York style slice is hard to come by, and this place meets the bill. This is the best "NY-style" pizza I've found so far in the north hills. The fact that they sell pizza by the slice is a major plus, too! I didn't know that until I picked up our pizza, but now I know I have somewhere new to go for lunch! I have gotten pizza from them twice now (once delivery, once pick up) and it has been consistent on both occasions. The crust of the pizza is thin, and the cheese has a great flavor. The crust is the right combo of crunchy and soft. It's greasy like a typical NY pizza, which I appreciate. It tasted just as good reheated after a couple of days too. This is definitely my new go-to pizza spot in the North Hills! I am interested to check out their specialty pies and slices in the near future. read more

I had seen on FB that they won a award for best cheese pizza so I thought let's try something different and give them a try. We ordered a large pizza, 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni. It looked good when I opened the box. This has to be the worst pizza I have ever had. We were so excited when we saw Slice on Broadway come to Wexford! My husband and I have already ordered takeout from here a few times. Both times we have gotten the Pizza di Broccolini - a white pizza with ricotta, sausage, garlic, and broccolini. When we have gotten the large, I think the crust was more sturdy and held the toppings compared to the ginormous which was narrow, flimsy pieces. Nonetheless, the flavors were there and the crust around the edge was tender and fluffy on the inside. We will be back to try other combinations in the future! read more

Best specialty pizzas in the north hills, hands down. When we have guests in from out of town we love to order the chicken parm and others to impress. They've got a great variety for whole pies and still do slices in the shop. Stopped in today for lunch at around 1. Several tables for dine in, and bar-style searing on 2 sides. THEY HAVE SLICES! Choices are based on what they have in the case at the time. Had a slice of white with spinach and tomato, and a slice of their Santino, or "thicker crust with Pepperoni, Sausage, Meatball, and House Red Sauce, House Blend Cheese and Ricotta." White was good (though I've had better), and the Santino had a great spice to it. Both came out super hot and super crispy. Real deal NY style. Delicious. read more

So I've had no idea there was a Wexford location. I have enjoyed the pizza down in East Liberty when I worked in the area. So I was excited to try this one. And It was a huge let down for me. I ordered a basic margarita pizza and the crust was not a floppy NY style. Not even close. The dough was hard and chewy. I had to rip the bites off the slices. Not a pleasant experience. And all for the bargain basement price of like $28. What an exorbitant ripoff. Will never eat here again. I don't mind paying that price for good pizza, but you better darn well back it up. Quite consistently some of the best examples of pizza around. Excellent dough, a nice, proper Neapolitan pizza can be had, and their specialty pizzas have some amazing combos worth trying. If you like a thicker crust, you can have that too and it's just as good. read more

I formerly lived in Beechview very close to the original Slice location but eventually moved to the north hills area. I was absolutely delighted when the Wexford shop opened as I'd really missed slice since moving. Cannot recommend this place enough. read more
