This was the worst pizza I ever tried. Very overrated. Didn't like the sauce and toppings had barely any flavor.

We made the long drive to pick up some pizza here based on some recommendations, and while a very solid pizza, it's decidedly average compared to many pizza shops in the Pittsburgh area (especially some of the old standard spots it is compared to). This is absolutely Pittsburgh style with a medium proofed crust with a lot of crisp and a lot of cheese, and the sauce is a little sweeter with a lot of herbs. We also ordered a salad that had the most powerful onions I've had in some time... will take a couple days for my breath to recover. The cashier was incredibly friendly as was the gentleman who took my order on the phone. The downsides is that they don't have a website and the menu I found online had out of date pricing which meant using their ATM on site. Cash only in many cases will dock a full star, and this is no exception. read more

I dream about their stuffed pan pizza. Pricey but worth it. I get the ham and spinach one regularly. I want to try their other flavors but I always gravitate that spinach and ham! We did a walk-in pick-up order... as in we walked in, ordered and waited to come get the pizza. Not a long wait time for an extra large pie. The price was fair. We live about a half hour away and the smells in the car were making us salivate. We are a pan crust family but from the photos we decided to try the hand-tossed. The crust was amazing. The perfect crispness. The perfect bouncy chewiness. I love a good crust with a bubble just covered in sauce. The sauce is a good crushed tomato type... a bit of bite versus a heavy tomato paste sauce. Pepperoni and cheese blend was good. Authentic flavors all around -- old-world-style sausage (with a bite of spice!), flavorful meatball, and pepperoni with just the right amount of spiciness. We got the 2/$24 large 1-topping special. The two pizzas were very tasty and VERY filling. Their prices may be slightly higher than other pizza joints, but one or two slices will fill you up, and you'll have leftovers! Plus, you're supporting a small business that cares about quality and tradition. The owner is from Italy and knows how to make great pizzas and subs with authentic recipes and quality ingredients. My absolute favorite pizza place in the East. I'm from the South Hills, so I'm used to Fiori's, Beto's, etc. This place definitely is up there with my faves. What a disappointment. Conca D'oro Pizzaria in Plum Boro , PA. has excellent pizza. But, today, I decided to order chicken wings and a hot sausage hoagie . With tip and delivery, this cost me $39 and it was horrible. The flavor of the wings was okay, but they were undercooked and hard to get off the bone. Absolutely, horrible. Then the hot sausage hoagie. The sausage was so hard, it was almost impossible to cut with a knife and trying to chew it was impossible. The bun was soggy with moisture, not sauce and it was supposed to have green peppers and onions. Onions were non existent and there was one tiny pepper on a whole hoagie. Don't order either one. I have dogs and even they didn't eat what I tried to feed them. I am so disappointed over the quality of those two items that I will never order from them again, unless it is pizza. Sad to say they deserve an "F" for this order from them. read more

I got a large cheese pizza. A little on the expensive side for above Pittsburgh-average pizza. I drove out of my way on a recommendation, maybe about 20-25 minutes, but I probably wouldn't do it again. It was piping hot, so I didn't want to eat it right away and waited until I got home. Pizza was decent. Good dough and toppings but floppy after delivery. Overpriced, $35 for a 16" pizza and six whole wings. Now why two starts. When I ordered they said 40-45 minutes for delivery. When an hour had passed I called to see if it was out for delivery yet. The girl who answered the phone was beyond rude, "well considering our pick ups are taking 45 minutes" and "well you did order the pizza well done". I'm a veteran so pretty polite with strangers and this girl was completely dismissive and rude. Had she just said sorry sir we are running behind you should have it shortly I would have accepted that and probably given them my business again. Stay away. I ordered a ham and swiss sub. I got home to discover a swiss cheese sub with no meat. I called and the manager told me that's what I had ordered. I asked him who orders a cheese only sub and he said mockingly lots of people. He never offered a refund or replacement. Do not go here. I have been going here since in the early 1990s (high school) and every time it's great. It is only cash but that is ok because they have a real pizza oven not a conveyor belt. I liked the white pizza they make but tonight they gave me a regular pizza with tomatoes when I called to tell them that they got the order wrong they told me that was what I ordered that I never said white pizza even though my husband and son heard me say white pizza two times when I ordered over the phone.
