Now, this place is really eclectic and I love it. Pizza was good, but also so were the baked goods. We split a CRUFFIN for dessert - a croissant / muffin - that was incredible. There's a giant piece of actual "drift wood" on the wall, which must've been... well, chicken or egg? There was great diversity amongst the staff and also the customers in the store when we ate. Service was also stellar! Love to go back one day.

After Pittsburgh marathon day, everyone was exhausted but we all knew exactly what we needed: a classic driftwood pie! Hits the spot every time and especially fueled us after a hectic day! Online order is easy and pies are just as good home as they are there. Perfect crust, cheese to bread ratio, and sauce. What more could you ask for!

I truly don't know what the heck took us so long to get here. We stopped in a couple of times over the years, but the lack of seating made us decide it wasn't worth the wait or eating in the car or outside standing up. A renovation and new layout means plenty more seating, and so we finally stopped in at an odd hour on the weekend and had DELICIOUS food. (I'm not sure if it was full service before, but I thought it wasn't. It is now, which was a pleasant surprise. A couple of servers helped us and both were friendly, attentive, and helpful.) Rapini e Salsiccia was terrific, but the crust, friends, it's special. It's sourdough-perfect, and if you're behind the 8 ball like us and late to try this place, get a move on. Dine in and experience that crunchy, chewy crust while it's hot out of the oven. In the top three pizza places in the city (which I can't rank), in my opinion.

I LOVE this pizza place. The sourdough crust is light but also well charred and the sauce is so fresh and tasty. I have yet to try more combos but regularly order pizza from this place!!

My favorite pizza in the city! We were excited to check it out after the remodel, and everything was great! Loved having the bar seating and extra tables. Drink selection was wonderful, as was the service (as always!). The ranch here is also top tier and we always get at least two cups!

On our last night in town, we decided to grab some pizza at Driftwood Oven. It was within walking distance of our Airbnb so we made our way over on a Sunday night and were seated right away. We decided to start with an order of their meatballs, which were absolutely delicious and some of the best meatballs I have probably ever had in my life. Not an exaggeration. We also shared a Bianca slice and a classic cheese slice to start, since we didn't want to order multiple pizzas, but we were very curious about all of their options. Both slices were tasty and the crust had a good chew to it. For our main pizza, we split the SMO classic style. Everything about the pizza was extremely well balanced from the sauce to the toppings and the seasonings to the crust. All in all, these are some tasty pizzas and this would definitely be my go-to spot if I lived in the area.

I know they're known for their sourdough pizza, but their bakery options, though few, are pretty solid too! I tried their seasonal flavor Croffin, Maple Cinnamon, and I enjoyed it more than I expected! Didn't get maple flavor, but the cinnamon worked well with the crunchy outside and soft layers. It definitely is a croissant dough, with great layering, but the inside was a but raw and quite dense due to the muffin shape. The cream on top and in the middle was great too, quite sweet but worked well with it. Wish it had a bit more maple flavor and at $6+, I think it's a bit on the pricier side, but worth trying at least once!

I had to stop at one of the most talked about pizza shops in the area: Driftwood Oven. I picked a few things to sample, I love good pizza and with so much hype, I figured everything was good. And it was. The pizza was nice and crunchy, the sourdough crust is noticeable. The deli sandwich was also very well made, with nice delicate touches of pickled items, and the pepperoni roll was just a pepperoni roll. I have never been a fan of pepperoni rolls, and this one did not make me a fan. Not a problem for me. The place is small, hip, on a busy street with minimal parking, so it easier to come and explore the area rather than just come here. The whole street is full of coffee shops, restaurants, and miscellaneous shop, it a fun place.

I've tried a lot of pizza in Pittsburgh and there's nothing like Driftwood. It is delicious--the sourdough crust makes each and every bite. Their current peach and corn pizza for the summer is the best pizza they have to offer, it's sweet and tangy and perfect for this time of year. My all time favorites year round is the Kale Riser and kale Caesar salad The restaurant is a bit more pricey but absolutely worth it for the flavor! Service in house is attentive and helpful. Lots of beer options on tap and cans as well. Highly recommend stopping in to try their pizza or to get to go! Best pizza in PGH.

One of Pittsburghs best pizza spots. The sourdough crust is perfectly thin and crispy. Tried the Major Tom and for someone that doesn't typically go for a white pizza, I liked it more than I expected. Next time I'll be sure to try a traditional red pizza. We ordered online for takeout, so I can't speak too much to service, but it was ready on time which is always appreciated. It's a bit pricy but on par with the other more "specialty" pizza spots in town.

I'm so late to the game but I'm so excited to have finally tried Driftwood Oven - I totally understand the hype now. Firstly, you order at the counter and take a number to your table & they serve you from there. Also, they will buss your table so you just leave your dishes. There's also a self-serve water station. Driftwood Oven specializes in sourdough pizza. They serve whole pizzas and by the slice which I LOVE! The slices are ~$4.50. My husband and I tried the regular cheese, red top, and bianca slices. Honestly, they were all so good I really couldn't pick a favorite. The crust is PERFECT! It has such a nice crunch but is light and airy. They serve Leona's ice cream sandwiches (iykyk) and have a small alcohol selection too. Would definitely recommend this spot!

Plain, onion, and everything bagels (4.5/5)

I got a pesto and sun-dried tomato focaccia (4.5/5) and plain, everything, and onion bagels (4.5/5) from Driftwood Oven at the Lawrenceville Farmers' Market. Both were really good! The bagels are pretty big and have a nice chewy texture from the sourdough without being too tough or crunchy like some other sourdough bagels I've had. Similarly, the focaccia is also great; it is packed with flavor and not as oily as others I've had, which I really liked.

One of the best spots in Pittsburgh! Remi is incredible--super friendly and makes the whole experience even better. The food was outstanding. Definitely a must-visit if you're in town!

I cannot say it is the best pizza I have had because different styles are all amazing. This is a unique style and I love it. The sauce was amazing, the ricotta cheese was so delicious and their meatballs were tremendous. What I loved was the crust - it had some chew and some tug; there was a little bit of char on the outside and the bottom. The meatballs were delicious and that sauce! The vodka sauce was perfect. I would have thought I would have missed the standard cheese on a pizza but the ricotta was super good. I placed my order on their website and it was easy; I was able to pay using my Apple Pay, which was a plus. We arrived and it was ready but we stood talking to the men in the shop and they were so kind. They asked us questions about us when they learned we had, recently, moved here. I absolutely adore the servers here, as they're always super happy to give me new recommendations on what to order! My favorite flavors are the mango habanero and the spicy lime, but there are still so many flavors I'm excited to try.
