I probably won't stop raving about this pizza for a while! I snagged a white pizza square and a slice of margherita. Both were FABULOUS! It was some of the closest to NY style you'll find around Pittsburgh. There is a small dining area with tables and benches. Service was quickly and friendly. As soon as you walk in the door the most amazing smell greets your nose! :) Living in Pittsburgh, I've learned there really is such a thing as bad pizza. But not at Badamos! Thanks for making the best of them. Never too cheesy, too heavy or too greasy. Sweet perfection.

Sicilian Pepperoni Pizza

So, I never had Badamo's pizza before. Shame. It was tremendous! Vaulted easily into my top five and maybe top three pizzas ever! Just so much flavor and attention to detail in making a great pizza. Literally not one shortcoming. Tired of all the noise online from these guys bragging and talking about their magic dough and special tomatoes, etc. Badamo's is just making pizza and knocking it out of the park like it's their job because, well, it is and they are VERY good at their job!

Decided to order Badamo's to feed some hungry co-workers. Went with a large half pepperoni pizza and half pepperoni/sausage Sicilian style pizza. Also got an order of the garlic knots. Pizza was great, dough was perfect and the cheese and pepperoni were fresh. I normally don't opt for a Sicilian style pizza, but this is one that I would not hesitate to order again. Garlic knots were so so. They weren't bad, just not something I'd feel the urge to order again. Overall, solid pizza. I can see why this is considered some of the best in the burgh.

Best pizza in Pittsburgh, bar none. The classic cheese and margharita pizzas are super crispy with nice charred bubbled crust, EXCELLENT tomato sauce, and salty delicious cheese! I don't come to the Pitt without getting a whole pie--and that jank doesn't survive long when I'm hungry! It's as good or better than most NYC pies. I'm a pizza junkie--like a serious pizza crackhead--and this pizza is absolutely delicious.

A couple of pieces by the slice

I had an appointment on a snowy day in February and stumbled into Badamo's on my way back to my car. It's a relatively small place, but I liked the idea that you could buy pizza by the slice or square or grab a garlic knot. All of those items were out and warmed upon ordering. Of course you can pick up a whole pie, hoagie, or other items. I was shocked at how packed it was on a Friday at 1:30. Most people were grabbing a slice, but others were coming in for pick up orders. The gentleman taking the orders was very friendly and talkative to everyone that came in or was taking a phone order. I got two slices. A margarita and a spinach feta. Both were really, really good. I liked everything about this place.

A truly awesome spot for pizza in the North Side - no seating, but they make up for it with great flavor, crust, and ingredients. My husband and I got takeout recently and tried a round pie and a few various Sicilian/grandma slices, plus some garlic knots and pepperoni rolls. We loved EVERYTHING. The hype is real and we will absolutely be making Badamo's our go-to destination for a great takeout pizza going forward! I'd recommend giving yourself about 40 minutes to an hour between placing an order and picking up, as they do get busy. The quicker option would definitely be to stop in and pick out a few pre-baked slices to go (they do heat them up!) versus ordering a whole pie, but you can't go wrong either way! It's a cute little place with some classic pizza shop ambiance, including great personal touches in frames on the wall. Can't wait to try it again soon!

All I need to say is DELICIOUS.. but Yelp says I need 85 characters, so here it goes. Definitely have to stop and grab a pizza slice and pepperoni roll if you're in the area. Even on a hot day, the pizza was 10/10. Service was good. It can be a bit stuffy in there if you're waiting though.

Corinne K.

Found the trick is to order well done. This pie was amazing. We live in the area and this is our go to pizza spot. Pick up is always super easy and timely. The staff is wonderful and we always have positive interactions with them.

Plain slice, square white slice w/ spinach, red onion, tomatoe, ricotta

Can never go wrong with Badamos! I recently ordered a Sicilian pizza and per usual, it didn't disappoint. I've heard their classic pizza is fantastic as well, but I can't stay away from the Sicilian. lol online ordering is easy and pick up is a breeze. Love having Badamos so close to me on the north side!

Slice of plain square. Perfection!

Great slice every time. Sauce is flavorful not overwhelming or acidic. Cheese is great and nice crispy edges to a light crust. Fast and friendly spot

This place pops up on a lot of "Best slices in Pittsburgh" list and I can see why. I tried the white slice (with added sausage solely for the sake of extra protein)-- the crust was crispy while also having good chew. I liked the included ricotta and spinach combo and would likely skip adding sausage next time. The pepperoni roll was also a good snack, slightly on the doughier side. There is a standing table opposite the cashier with enough space for 4-5 people, so most folks get it as take-out.

I wouldn't really call this a supper club to be honest but the place definitely carries a house music bar vibe and the back bar area and seating is very dimly lit, perfect for cozying up and enjoying a drink late night. The ladies' room was so dark, I mistook it for a storage area because I could only make out a white ladder in the corner that was being used as cute shelving. The place is seat yourself. Our waiter was not super friendly and didn't offer to give us napkins or anything when our wobbly table caused our drinks to splash all over the place. The cook served our chicken with a big smile and happy interaction and we really loved his personality. The bartender also stopped by to bus our table and he was very pleasant as well. We enjoyed the perfectly fried small plate cauliflower with the plum sauce and the fried cheese/garlic wonton bites with the sriracha mayo spicy dipping sauce. The fried chicken breast on the large plate was slightly overcooked with a maple gochuchang sauce that was very bland. We were so thankful that the large plate fried chicken came with a side salad to offer some respite from the heaviness of the fried dishes. It would have been great to have some side acidic or fresh vegetable options like Kimchi or something. Maybe we tried the wrong dishes and there are other not fried things that are delicious? The dirty martini cocktail was just so-so, not really much flavor at all, but the mojito was very good and refreshing. It's probably a good late-night place for a bite and drink.

Fantastic vibe in there as well, cool lighting (although something from up above kept falling). It's a highly acclaimed place for a reason. I got to try their beet soup (borscht), tea, potato pancake, and rice pudding dessert. The menu changes decently consistently I believe, and I did visit a little while ago, for notice. The food was very tasty. Huge potato pancake that was cooked perfectly with a nice topping of what I can only describe as vegan sour cream and some sort of very flavorful vegetables. I quite liked it, surprisingly tasty and creamy topping. Now the borscht, which I tend to be picky with, was just okay. The number one detractor for the borscht was the salt level. The food is just far, far too salty (the pancake was pretty salty too). Other than that, quite good. Love the side of rye. The dessert was very good. Surprisingly light. Came with a little caramelized baked fruit on top (apple/pear, something like that). Rice was reasonably creamy and very flavorful. So good! All in all, a nice spot for a nice dinner. Especially great for vegans. However, the food did taste too salty for my liking.

We stopped by while walking around the Strip District looking for a quick lunch. During lunch service, you order at the kiosk, find a seat, and clean up after yourself, which makes for a casual and easy experience. Food: The tomato sauce here is probably some of the best red sauce I've had in a long time. We ordered the Caprese Panzanella, meatballs, crispy potatoes, and spaghetti with red sauce. Everything was delicious, but the salad completely stole the show for me. It was packed with fresh ingredients, bright flavors, and so many different textures that worked perfectly together. Every dish tasted fresh, simple, and executed well. Service: For lunch, you're mostly taking care of yourself, but the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming whenever we interacted with them. This is one of those places that doesn't need a long review because you really just need to try it for yourself. I'd absolutely recommend stopping by if you're visiting Pittsburgh for either lunch or dinner. Fresh ingredients, great flavors, and a fun atmosphere. LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

The prices are very steep. If you go in for just a smoothie thats a little more acceptable but to pay $5 for a couple strawberries, half a banana, and half an apple is crazy. The smoothies are also not even that great. I got my son the strawberry banana one and it was so bland. I got the sunrise sunset one and it was somewhat flavorful.
