I have been wanting to try this place as I live near by and have picked up a few orders for customers on DD/UE prior. We ordered: 6 wings with a parm cheese sauce 1 gyro sammie 1 chicken and spinach sammie - gluten free. Do you know how hard it is to find a gluten free sandwich that isn't so tiny? It's nearly impossible to get a nice serving where you can eat the leftovers the next day. I ordered their hoagie (sammie) and it's so tasty. It really surprised me for how nice the size is compared to other shops where you pay so much for something so small. Not here, you get your moneys worth! Everything tasted so good (I didn't try the gyro but my bf really liked it). I am surprised they are only a 3.8 star rating as it was really simple to order and didn't take that long as they were booming for food delivery orders. Parking would be a nightmare as centre can get really backed up with traffic and everything. I would recommend ordering before and picking it up there so you don't have to wait but if you have to wait, there are 5-6 seats inside. read more

I'm a big fan of calzones and affordable food. So, when I found Pizza Pronto, I was instantly interested. I tried their build your own calzone (just plain cheese without any added toppings) and a chocolate chip cookie from Swope's Bakery. The calzone was very good. The portion was great, too. Usually, I don't like calzones that have red sauce already inside of them. However, here, the sauce did not make the calzone soggy. It had a nice lightly sweet flavor to it. There was plenty of cheese inside. Not too greasy, but just a little too doughy for me. Still, very good. The Swope's bakery cookie was a pretty decent cookie at a fair price. It is absolutely huge! I recommend warming up this cookie if you can. It's so much tastier when the chocolate is melty and warm. It would have been nice to know that the chocolate is dark, though. All in all, there are tons of Oakland pizza places to choose from. My experience with Pizza Pronto leads me to say it's probably on of the better options. There are lots of pizza places in this area -- some amazing, some terrible, and many somewhere in between -- so once I find a good one, I try to stick with it. However the other night that was just not working out for me. Let me set the stage for you. Favorite place? Closed. Backup place? Closed. Ordered delivery on Uber Eats? They brought me chicken (???) instead, and it was delivered late to boot. It was 9pm, I had 4 hungry 20-somethings to feed, and time was running out. Pizza Pronto is just steps from my apartment building, but we'd never tried it before. We gave it a shot, and I'm so glad we did! Reasonably priced XL cheese pizza fed all of us, plus we had leftovers. It was ready in 10 minutes flat. Delicious gooey cheese with good flavor, and good crust and sauce as well. Nothing crazy, nothing fancy, just a good hot slice of pizza served up Pronto, which is really all you need. Staff was friendly. Plus, there's a bunch of cool, abstract art up on the walls. There's not really seating -- it's just a pickup place -- but I'll definitely have to get the story on the decor next time I'm there. Will definitely be sticking with Pizza Pronto for future pizza purchases. read more

For the first time trying this place we had a BYO vegan pizza and it was pretty good. I gather that it is a daiya veggie cheese and we added several vegan toppings to the mix. It comes out pretty oozey and tastey. For them to offer vegan options is nice, but the price is not so nice. We got a medium pizza with three toppings and it came to 33 dollars, woahhh, major rippage batman! Where do I start? Okay, let me start with the food. The Pizza is great. One of the best one's I have tried so far. Let's get to the actual part I wanted to share. One of the store associate(mid-40's), showed RACIAL BEHAVIOR. He ignored us completely when we are inside the store. Also we reached to the counter to ask the status of the Pizza, he didn't even look at us even when we are standing right in-front of him. It started to become scary when he was continuously watching us over while we leaving. We saw him talking to his associates and then his associates also started watching us leave the store. I chose this platform to share this experience as I feel safe. I checked out the other reviews to see if the store looks at these comments and respond. Yes, they do, which is good. But, please do not respond in a same pattern as your previous response. Only respond if you mean it and make some changes in your store to address this issue. We use this place a lot for takeaway. My boyfriend LOVES their buffalo chicken dip!! It's priced just right too-$9.99 for a decent size tray. That's what it costs when I purchase ingredients to make it myself...only mine doesn't taste half as good. When we have parties, we like to order a tray or two to put out with other snacks and it's always a big hit. Everything on the menu is really good from hummus to pizza and hoagies. Ordered pizza pronto from Grubhub for dinner tonight. Customized a chicken ranchero adding tomato, lettuce and bacon. They didn't charge me extra which I thought was amazing. At $11 for 16 in this has to be one of the best sub sandwich prices I've seen in Pittsburgh. Definite bang for the buck. The bread was a bit tough in some parts but overall the sandwich was very enjoyable. Added on the chocolate cake....yes! Do it. Get it. I really like their pizza! It's thick and gooey and covered in toppings. I call it a "stinky pizza" because it's got a strong smell, probably from the fact they use provolone cheese, but the taste is amazing. Usually my Sunday (Recovery) go-to. The buffalo dip is amazing and the pita always tastes fresh.

Definitely not impressed with this place, like the rating says, "Meh." My coworkers rave about this place and are constantly trying to convince me to try it, well one day I caved and decided to place an order. The one good thing, and maybe the only good thing, is the speed at which you receive your food. From the time we ordered until the delivery arrived, it was a fraction of what other places in Oakland will quote you. This however makes you wonder just how the food is prepared. If it will come that quick it makes you think that the food has been prepared prior to your order and has been sitting under heating lamps. Speaking of the food, I decided to order the chicken strips and fries. I am not sure if this is an accurate description of the food, but the chicken strips were airy. I am not sure how that happens, but it felt as if there was a ton of air once you bit into the strip. Weird. As for the fries, generic and frozen. Lackluster can best describe my food and is one of the causes as to me not ordering from here again. Another being the fact that the prices are a bit steep. Compared to other pizza places that deliver in the area you would think competition would be in full effect here. Nope. Who charges $10 for dips? Unless you are creating every single ingredient in house, I doubt that you spinach artichoke dip is worth $10. read more

I have been a customer for over 3 years, considered your wings rated in the top 3 in the Pittsburgh area... I do understand there are issues with chicken wings nationally for several reason, thus my expectations where not has high as normal. However, my order today was far, far below expectation. First, you don't offer all flats or all drumettes only, while disappointed, I get it. Price, I expected prices to be higher and they were. What was difficult to accept is the quality of wings, I had 4 flats and 8 drumettes, hardly 50/50. The flats were so small and tiny, that you should have been embarrassed to sell them. All in all a poor experience, some in your control and some out of your control. I will certainly shop around now for another place for wings.
