This place serves surprisingly delicious food that far surpassed my expectations. And, the prices are awesome as well! Decent location and the food is made quickly. I ordered the cheese calzone (build your own, but I just didn't add anything). It really it the spot. Especially after my last disappoint calzone experience. The size for the calzone was quite large in general, but it was a crazy good deal for just $10! Stuffed with a ton of cheese, more mozzarella than ricotta. The sauce they served inside of the calzone was mildly sweet, but very well balanced. I enjoyed it. They also gave me two little containers of tomato sauce on the side (which was fine, although cold). The crust was great. Nice and buttery. Not too greasy or bready. All in all, I definitely recommend this place. I wasn't expecting the calzone to be this good, but it was fantastic! If you live nearby or are just in the area, stop by for a good meal. read more

This is my first time ordering from BellaMonte. I was looking for a new place to try gluten-free pizza. Just ordered a simple. GF pepperoni pie. Have to say this is one of the better gluten-free pizzas I've had. My ONLY negative comment is that I'd have to say this is the first time I ever ordered a pizza (from anywhere) where I only got one or two little pieces of pepperoni on each slice LOL. Finally got to try this place after driving past it for a while. I can't not recommend it enough. I ordered a large pizza with Italian sausage. The pizza arrived on time. After opening the box, it looked tasty. But from the first bite it was nothing but disappointment. "Does it taste weird to you?" I asked my son. He looked at it while chewing and contemplating the question. I said, "The sauce tastes weird. Or is it the sausage?" I couldn't tell. It was just a miasma of flavor that shouldn't occur on a pizza. I found myself dipping my slice in the included ranch dressing more and more to cover up the pizza flavor. I tapped out after two slices, the second being a smaller affair (Who taught these folks how to slice?) and my son was not far behind exclaiming, "Yeah I can't eat anymore of that. It tastes weird. Where is this from? Someplace new?" If it hadn't tasted so naff, I get the feeling it would have been another standard Pittsburgh pizza. Same interchangeable dough and cheese, same old same old that countless other pizza joints offer. But Bella Monte went one step further and just made inedible mediocre pizza. This is the third time since I've lived here that I have ordered delivery and the food has been terrible. I ordered a large pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni. The toppings were only covering the bottom half of the pizza. The pizza was disgusting, the sauce was out of the can and tasted like metal. Not enough toppings. Pizza dough was tough and chewy. It used to be a pretty good pizza place but it has definitely went down hill. Called and sent a photo about the unsatisfactory meal and spoke with Sam. He told me that there wasn't anything wrong with the pizza. I asked him if he was proud of what he sent and he said yes he was. I will never order here again. I recommend Mama Lucias or Gavinos. When we first heard and started ordering from here, it's was amazing and we swore off any other pizza place. But. The last handful of times we've ordered, our pizza comes like what is pictured - cheese slid off to one side, messy and almost entirely unsliced. I expect pizza to require napkins but, this is impossible to without having to rebuild and repair our pizza; for that, we'd make it at home or better yet, order somewhere else. Yet another flyer came to my doorstep with the local Pennysaver advertising a new pizza endeavor. This evening, we ordered ourselves a "meat classic" pizza, an Italian hoagie, and some cannoli from Bellamonte, the latest combatant to enter the eternally raging Pittsburgh Pizza Wars. Eh, I've had this kind of spongy, heavy, bread-like crust before along with the invisible sauce, and loads of a mozzarella/provolone blend. There was pepperoni, sausage, ham, salami, capicola, gyro meat (!), bacon, and I was bored. The "Supreme Italian" hoagie was sufficiently stuffed with l-t-o, vinaigrette, cheese, hot peppers, and the usual Italian deli meats, but again, if this were a movie, I'd be yawning. The same could be said about the cannoli. There's just entirely too many pizzas and hoagies like this in Pittsburgh. Bellamonte doesn't stand out among the throngs. I give 'em 6 months before the door revolves again. P.S. According to the aforementioned flyer, Bellamonte delivers to Greentree, Sheraden, Crafton, Ingram, Mt. I ordered a small pizza, that's it, from this place 50 minutes before closing on Grubhub. A little close, but at the time I placed the order, I didn't realize they closed at 1 and the restaurant accepted the order. Instead of either refusing the order or calling me to cancel it and let me know they wouldn't fulfill it, they just let the order proceed as if it were being made until finally, at almost 2 am, I contacted Grubhub and they canceled the order for me. Now everything is closed and I can order nothing, which, I would guess, was the purpose seeing as they could have let me know ahead of time. I would recommend against ordering from a business that behaves this way as I think it shows a complete disregard for customers, one that is unlikely to be confined to one customer and one issue. read more

Mixed reviews. I love that I can order online. I typically use a credit card and it's just easier. I will choose a place with online ordering over a place I have to call. (typically). The very first time I ordered we (my girlfriend and I) thought the pizza was amazing. Tons of cheese (I didn't order extra cheese), greasy, good seasoning & all around flavor. The cheesy bread was amazing too! Sounds awesome right? Not so fast. Their website says 45 minutes for delivery. It took about an hour. Have ordered from here about 7 times & only once, has it been on time. But hey, great food is worth the wait right? Sure, if it stayed great. The second time I ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. Yum?! And some cheesy bread. OMG hope it gets delivered fast! Haha. Nope like 15 minutes late. And guess what? It was horrible. My "extra cheese" had less cheese that the first pizza I ordered. There was like no seasoning, and it was ice cold. The cheese bread was under cooked, lacked flavor, and had a strange aftertaste. (Never figured out what the taste was). It looked great, but it was horrible. Think most of my $20+ order went in the fridge, then to the garbage can. Ordered zucchini on one of my orders. Not sure which one, but it was a greasy mess. No seasoning, no parm, overcooked, almost completely burnt, with no flavor. Disgusting. Back on a positive. I'm a ranch fanatic. No idea what happened but I'm very disappointed. That first time I ordered it was amazing. It still wasn't a (mineos) but it was great food. Every time since, has sucked. Seems they got rid of the garlic salt & w/e other seasonings they used. I probably will order from here again at a last resort. They deliver to my house, I can order online, and that's about the only reasons besides hoping it will once again be like it was the first time I ordered. I'm a big fan of bellamonte pizza. It's a family run place with ample seating right on main street and the pizza is great. It's not overly American and greasy, which is great. Frankly it's expected given that the brothers who run the place are Italian. It's the definition of your "mom and pop" pizza place and while there is some influence from American pizza trends on Bellamonte's pizza's you and a friend (a small pizza is enough for two people or two meals easily) will be 100% satiated by the pizza. I heartily recommend the mozzarella pizza and the Hawaiian pizza. read more

Have had trouble with this place in the past delivering orders in a reasonable time. You call and get put on the enteral hold after a few minutes and several transfers they tell you it's on the way. Last time it finally arrived after 2 hours and was stone cold. Took a break from this place for awhile and decided to give it another shot. Well again was disappointed. Placed order online paid got the confirmation at 530 pm today. Said it would be delivered by 638 today. Never happened. Called at 703 played the hold game girl that finally answered was very rude and said it was on the way should be there in a few. At 738 I called again played to hold game again. Finally got a manager to pick up to find out the order was never even made. Cancelled my order and have written this place off for good. I recently started ordering from this place about 2 weeks ago for lunch at work. I ordered 2 salads which I though were fantastic. The steak salad and the cranberry apple salad. The third time I ordered a burger and was very disappointed. The patty was thinner than a fast food joint, although it was seasoned well. I fed as though the patty needs more meat or they should charge less for the burger, or, don't sell burgers at all. I've always had hit or miss service from here but nothing drastic so I kept ordering because its close to my work and there's not a lot of other places around here. The last time they just left the food in the lobby even though I did not ask for contactless delivery. They did not call or text me to tell me they dropped the food so I waited a long time before I finally reached out to see what happened. This time I placed the order at 6pm and they confirmation said it would be delivered at 7pm. Way too long but I had no way to know ahead of time. I decided to just wait it out. At 7:05 I get call form the shop starting that the delivery driver was behind and would be here in about 20 minutes. I'm writing this at 7:30 and my food is still not here. It's a Monday. It's not like it's a busy Friday night. Food arrived at 7:45. Pizza was luke warm and dried out. Salad was warm to the touch from being stored on top of the once hot pizza.
