A seriously solid slice! This has been on my list to visit and we came out on a nice evening for a slice or two. First impression, no flop. This isn't a soggy slice and the cheese falls off; the crust is crispy and the edges has some pull to them. I like the crisp to the pizza; every bite was nice and crispy but not overdone. On a 1-10 scale, just under an 8. The interior is nothing special but the prices are fair and it was comfortable. I will come again. read more

The food needs a lot of improvement and less making up stories. My stomach was feeling queasy and I read somewhere "slice on Broadway #1 cheese pizza" so I thought I'd give it a try. Bad decision. I have no idea what kind of cheese they used but it was tasteless. And the crust? Horrible! Also flavorless and hard. Couldn't even chew the end crust it was hard and unappetizing. How in the world does this place ONLY have a 3 1/2 / 5 ? This place was, by far, one of the TOP PIZZA places I have ever had (1) & in Pittsburgh (2). Outside of Mineo's, this was one place I felt so happy to eat at !!!! My sister ordered us the margherita. The slice portions were VERY generous, and the fresh basil alongside mozzarella cheese was the RIGHT combo. I will be back and hope you all give this place a raving review. Friendly chefs the moment you walk in the door. Authentic by the slice, brick pizza oven experience. It's all a touch pricey, but great value for what you're getting. This food is diabolically good. The pizza by itself is probably the best slice you'll have in Pittsburgh. Only rivaled by Pizza Parma in terms of thin crust slices. At Slice on Broadway they also offer a seasoning that I look forward to using every time I go. Their garlic knots are a great texture and don't give your mouth the "too much garlic" sting. If you have a couple extra bucks to shill out or a special occasion coming around, get something from these folks cause it tastes awesome. I was quoted an hour for 3 pies -- two cheeses and a pepperoni -- and they were at my door in 30 minutes flat during lunch rush. Excellent service. Very average experience ordering from here. They are best known for their NY style, thin crust pizza. But, they also sell other things, like pepperoni rolls, calzones, and desserts such as cheesecake. The cheesecake is from Junior's in NY, I believe. I ordered the classic, plain cheese calzone. It was decent, nothing special really. The size was fine but I've had better deals. I would have liked it to be baked a little longer for the crisp. Not too doughy though. They use an adequate amount of cheese. It's mostly mozzarella, very little ricotta. The inside is a bit greasier than at most place. No sauce on the inside to keep it from being soggy. The little tomato sauce container served on the side was pretty tasty but cold. All in all, solid option for a calzone but just not impressive in any way. I think their pizza might be better than the calzone. May come back to give that a try. read more

I haven't been to the one in Carnegie in a long time, but that is where I first got hooked on the green monster. This is the only thing that I order from them and for good reason. It has just the right vegetables on it and all around flavor combinations. The pesto, the spinach, the artichokes, roaster red peppers(oh come on now!), lastly but certainly not least the ricotta that melts in your mouth and brings it to the next level. I went in there and got a small and the small is not small for one person. It is a ton of pizza really and especially with all of the ingredients. Anyways, this monster is to die for. This place used to have great pizza when it first opened. The pizza we most recently ordered on from DoorDash was completely undercooked. The dough looked almost raw and the cheese had no brown on it at all. The crust was mushy and floppy. Completely inedible. This is not New York style pizza. Then when I asked them to remake a new one for me and I would pick it up, they hadn't even made it yet and we had given them 30+ min to prepare. The excuse when I got there was something to do with flour made the crust white (and somehow the cheese not brown?) and they couldn't put a new one in for me because there were too many orders in front of me. Well, actually I was in front of all those orders and if it was made correctly the first time, I wouldn't need it to be remade. It takes a lot for me to complain but honestly this pizza is expensive so it should be high quality. read more

We always, always order from Slice on Broadway when hosting work events at our office around the corner. We always get great service and everyone is more than happy with the quality of the food provided. The white pizza is much loved by all and often requested, so we now ensure that it is ordered each and every time. If you're interested in a salad, don't skip on ordering one because they are also very, very good with some seriously tasty oil and vinegar house dressing. Many pizza places toss some cheap lettuce and sparse toppings into a container and call it a salad, but Slice on Broadway makes a fabulous salad with deep green lettuce, sliced red onions, cheese, and marinated red pepper slices. Many times we are placing large orders (8 pizzas and 4 salads) and are able to pick-up our food within the hour after ordering around 11 AM. We love this spot and it will continue to be our go-to for office-sponsored lunch. read more

First off the pizza is delicious, I absolutely love pizza thin, large New York style pizza & this is as close as you can get without a quick six hour drive to the nyc. I needed to use the restroom when we got there but they had just mopped and the staff said I couldn't go back there because it was wet. I said, okay I can wait till it dries and just hold it till I eat my pizza I guess. The floor dries and I again try and go back there but they say it's too close to closing and the bathroom is closed?? This makes me sad to write because they make a really solid NYC style pie, but they constantly get orders wrong. And if you read enough reviews (even on apps other than this one) you'll see this appears to be a persistent issue at this location. We've gotten everything from a no topping pie covered in olives, pie with no red sauce covered in red sauce, paid to add sausage no sausage. It's maddening. We've ordered from there about twice a month for a long time, but after yet another incorrect order - with clear and simple instructions printed on the ticket stuck to the box but blatantly ignored, I am DONE. Create you own? Pfft! More like, "you'll get whatever we decide to give ya." We'll miss chatting with the Friday night delivery guy - he's a sweetheart. Recently ordered the Buffalo chicken pizza and a green pepper/pepperoni/ ricotta pizza. The Buffalo chicken was on a garlic bread base and wasn't the typical ranch and hot sauce version. It was really good but I would've ordered extra ranch next time. The other pizza was perfect. We also ordered the big salad and it was great too. Delivery was quick and friendly.
