Great food and even greater service. Everyone working seemed to be so happy and enjoyed being there which somehow made the sandwich taste even better? Sandwiches were huge and hearty. Spicy Cajun fries weren't too spicy but definitely had the Cajun flair going on. Highly recommend stopping in and just chatting it up at the service counter. They are a delight!

We came here on Saturday morning. The staff was friendly and helpful in ordering. I got the Italian regular with LTO peppers and banana peppers served hot and with mayo and the oil blend. I also got the combo with the drink and fries. I don't particularly love fresh cut fries but for what they were they were good. The sub was soooooo good. I would get it again for sure. The atmosphere was very old-timey and minimal. We loved it.

Pittsburgh staple. Delicious sandwiches. Best fries in town with the cheese. Friendly staff. Good environment. Nothing says Pittsburgh more than this restaurant. Will leave you stuffed leaving the establishment. If you are going remember cash only.

Nice to actually go to where the sandwiches is has before are made fresh. All our sandwiches were delicious and the fries and chicken fingers a friend ordered were also good. Service was friendly. It was very hot, but not unbearable. The atmosphere is super casual/cafeteria. They also only accepted cash, which was very strange.

Stopped in as I was looking for some local flavor. Read the reviews and didn't want Primanti's tourist trap. Peppi's was excellent. Exactly what I was looking for! Some many options I could have ordered like 5 things. Asked a guy in front of me in line for some recommendations, he mad too many good ones. I ended up order the Italian regular, but you can get an option to get it grilled. Which I absolutely went with! This sandwich was amazing! I'm craving it as I write this. I also ordered a side of fries with cheese wiz. I had too. The counter guys were all friendly, even joked me about the Phillies shirt I was wearing. My group sat outside as it wasn't too hot. If you are in town and want some local, go! Next time I'm in town... I'm there! 5 star service, 5 star selection, 5 star taste.

Great salad for only $10, I feel it's hard to find a salad for this price AND with grilled chicken on it! Peppi's Northside staff does a wonderful job. Every time i've been in there, they're working quickly, yet are still friendly & approachable. All around they do a great job orienting to their customers. This time I got to check out the wall decor and it was so dope to see history of our city, Pittsburgh, that i've never seen before. I'll always recommend Peppi's if you're looking for a solid portioned meal at a reasonable price :) Great job guys

The Santucci. Spicy and beyond wonderful. This is 1/5 of a sandwich.

OMG. I am eating the menu and wishing I lived in The Burg. It's pouring outside, and we are staying close to AGH, but I need my Peppi's fix. I chuckled at a sign that said, "Wrong door, rookie." We got our usual, the Roethlisberger. But this time we also went for the Santucci, aka #27. Such a sensation in my mouth, sloppy, spicy, gooey, and filled with lots of stuff. Lots of meat. Order in advance and remember it is a cash only place. My wish, I wish they opened earlier . I still have cash left, and I want to take some home. Love Peppi's.

We walked about 10 min and change from our hotel to the strip district location. It is a small little place made up for by its attention grabbing wall art of famous and loved Pittsburgh figures. The menu is easy enough. Pick a protein (there are many options) to go on the sandwich which is the standard cole slaw, cheese, tomato, and fries tucked between two slices of thick, soft white bread. As a vegetarian, I was pleased to see a vegetarian option with both a cheese and an egg and cheese version. GF and I shared and it is not a bad sandwich to share bc the thing is massive. That isn't to say that I couldn't have eaten another half bc I absolutely could have. The thing is so large and busting with ingredients I wondered how I could fit it for a bite but where there's a will, there's a way. It was excellent. What a great combo of flavors and textures. I only wish there was more cheese. I do feel like with the cheese version there should be more than what is in the version with meat but call me crazy. I could eat that every day.

Medium loudness, mainly from people's conversations. Went to bar area, little to right of entering and ordered. Asked for their special and the asked for the type of meat. Didn't know so they suggested I try pastrami and the capicola. Ordered and waited maybe 10-15min and they gave us our order in a big paper bag. It was heavy! Opened up one of the sandwiches to share and nicely the sandwich was cut in half already. Just need to tear the paper wrapper to separate. As you may know, sandwich has Cole slaw and fries on it, so it's thick. Preferred the capicola over the pastrami. Decent amount of meat on the sandwich but waaaayyy more fries than anything. The close slaw adds some crunch and tartness to a pretty mild sandwich. Overall, food was underwhelming. I'd stop by again but for some kielbasa or something ethnic. Otherwise I'd probably just try another nearby place to eat.

Feeding a full team on game day can be complicated, but Peppi's made it almost seamless. Jeff & his team were incredibly accommodating from start to finish. There were a few sandwiches accidentally left out of the initial order (which can happen with large group catering), but as soon as we called, Jeff took complete ownership. He had fresh, hot replacements made & delivered to the field in less than 20 minutes so our team could leave on time. The players love the quality , the size, the flavor, the freshness of both the sandwiches and salads. It was a perfect post-game meal. We will absolutely use Peppi's again the next time we're in Pittsburgh. In fact, we're already talking about stopping by on our way out of town to grab lunch for the road.
