Amazing authentic pizza...homemade everything...so light & airy...sweet peppers and hot sausage are my go to toppings...they haven't been in business over 50 years for nothing!!

Was really eager to try this place, but overall I thought it was just OK. Very plain and basic.

Since 1959 ..

Idk since 1959..everyone says it the best etc..I' think it's the worst!!very bland sauce and hardly any cheese crust was terrible too..I'm sorry wasn't a fan

Half baked pizza! (Before finishing the baking)

After hearing about this place for a while now, I made a trip out to pick up a pizza for the Steeler game. It's a very small place and if you blink, you'll miss it. I love shops like that though! I didn't plan on eating the pizza right away, so I ordered my pizza half baked. All I had to do is heat the pizza for an additional 10-20 minutes whenever we were ready to eat it, which worked out perfectly! I think they take a lot of phone orders, but I had no problem walking in and ordering a pizza. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. This place is cash only so be prepared for that. But yeah, the pizza was so good. I'll definitely be back to order again!

Mushrooms and sausage, ate 4 pieces driving back to the hotel

Love this old school place. I always buy a whole tray, half baked. It freezes well, and I can have 2 squares whenever I want.

Overhyped pizza. The crust was soggy. Wasn't a fan of canned mushrooms which we felt contributed to the sogginess of the crust.

Been going here for over 50 years and if you like thick Sicilian style pizza, 1/2 baked is a great party option

The best mushrooms anywhere there are big and not shaved little pieces like other pizza places.

I brought my friends along and we settled on a pie with black olives and pepperoni. Can't rush perfection! We started with side salads and waited for the deep-dish to arrive. We couldn't believe our eyes: it looked soooo good! And I'm happy to report it tasted even better. The sauce, cheese, crust, and fillings made for an unforgettable savory experience. At the end, we took two slices to go. I couldn't condone leaving behind food this good. Leone's was perfect for satisfying my specific craving, and I give them my earnest recommendation.

They have a dine in section, but it seems like they are busier with take out than dine in. They have the typical pizzeria menu. A variety of pizza options and flavors (including a variety of deep dish options). If you order a deep dish, it will take extra time (but anyone ordering one probably already knows that). They also have several appetizers, salads and sandwiches. I love that they have corn nuggets. It isn't something you see on a menu all that often. The portion size was generous and they had the perfect amount of crunch. My husband ordered the deep dish sausage pizza and was very pleased with his pizza. He said the proportion of sauce to ingredients was perfect and that it was packed with flavor. Overall a great place to get some tasty pizza.

Since I now live on the other side of town I decided to try my local franchise. I rolled in and was the only customer. This isn't unusual since it was the day before the Super Bowl and most pizza is delivery rather than eat in. I was attended to quickly and friendly. I had intended on just getting a pizza, but after seeing some notes about their subs, I decided to try one of those as well. I have to admit that I'm not big on reviewing standard subs. Most of those subs aren't made in house, they are just assembled there. I owned a deli at one time and we cooked our own meats and sliced them fresh. Today, most places use pre packaged meats, and their only skill is in layering items in a specific order. Some places don't make their own bread, dressings or even slice their own vegetables. As a result, I order items that I feel are or should be made in house, such as sausage and meatballs. The place itself was warm enough, and I liked the open feel with the front garage door open. There were 2 televisions on different channels and the place seemed clean. A few places were a bit disorganized, but not excessively so. I didn't have to wait long for my whole meatball sub and pizza with mushrooms and sausage. I decided to wait until I got home to enjoy them. I shared my sub with my son He noted that the sauce was, in his words, tangy, which seemed a little strange to me. I didn't notice that in my half, but I ate mine pretty quickly and didn't pay as much attention as I normally would. I did note that the meatballs were cut in half or more, so that they covered the entire surface of the bread. The flavor was pretty standard, but I didn't notice or taste any cheese. Overall, it was just another sandwich. The pizza was another story. I noted from the 1st bite that there seemed to be a sharp sour aftertaste to the sauce. I ate several pieces, and couldn't put my finger on the unusual taste. I wasn't sure if it was a spice I was unfamiliar with or something else.Later, I would come to regret not paying closer attention. I spent the majority of the next 2 days in the bathroom. The intestinal distress I experienced was not at all pleasant. Since this was the only food I ate in that 24 hour period, I can't address the cause to anything else. The sauce was spoiled or just on the verge of going bad. I have a pretty strong stomach, so this food affecting me this severely is very unusual. Before the food hit my system, I felt like everything was good. The prices seemed reasonable, the service good and I left a pretty decent tip for someone that just handed me a box. None of that can make up for food that gets you sick. I can't say I'll never go back, but yes, probably never. One of those times I wished we could do a 0 star rating.

They have a lot of salads they sell in pints and quarts--don't go hungry or you'll leave with a few!
