Lisa, the owner and the other locals that were waiting for food, literally made me feel right at home, conversation flowed, the ambience and decor made the place. All of the pizza, subs made fresh to order, and in my opinion well worth the wait and reasonable. From the homemade dough;, cheese and all the ingredients, and it being made " fresh" and not sitting around , would definitely come back when in the area again . I ordered a steak hoagie asked for bacon, peppers, onions and lettuce she asked if I wanted Italian dressing on it I said no I don't care for Italian dressing but i would like some marinara to dip it in and she said ok I paid 17.00 when husband brought it home I received a steak hoagie drenched in italian dressing sooo much dressing that the bun was soggy so thank you for that I dislike italian dressing so much I could not eat I wasted 17.00 dollars and went hungry so thanks only one star read more

Hidden gem alert! Stopped by Latina Pizza after a day at Kennywood and was seriously impressed. It's located right across from the amusement park, next to the parking lot--super convenient if you're looking for a bite before or after rides. I ordered their Sicilian-style square pizza, and wow. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and airy inside, with just the right amount of chew. The sauce is flavorful (not too sweet), and the cheese was gooey and generous. You can tell they've been doing this for years--and doing it right. Prices? Super affordable. I got full without spending much at all. Perfect for families or anyone on a budget who still wants quality food. The place itself is old-school and cozy, nothing fancy--but that's part of the charm. You order at the counter, and the staff is friendly and fast. Feels like a true local spot. Bottom line: If you're in the area--especially visiting Kennywood--don't miss this place. My favorite pizza is one with a crisp bottom, tender middle, tasty sauce and great toppings. This place checks all the boxes. The "big Guys" cannot compare. This is a family owned and operated business which holds true to the the old world values. My last order was a 16" pizza and an Italian hoagie for hubby. We were happy, as always. I wrote the first review for this place back in 2007. Nothing has changed. The crust is light fluffy and buttery! Me and my friend got eight slices of pizza today. And I told him that I was mad at him because he did not return to this pizza place he lives up here in Pittsburgh. He says he'll go back. I want to come back before I leave. I live in Northern Virginia. This place is a very good pizza place it's a jewel in Pittsburgh's crown. Price is a bit steep but when you assume the location (right next to KennyWood) I feel like that is to be expected... The women handling all the orders and making the food was extremely friendly and the food was about as close to perfect as you can expect. FAR better than any chain pizza. Downside is I believe they do not accept credit cards, BUT, they do have an ATM inside; making it much easier than a lot of other places that are cash only. read more

I thought the pizza here was very good. A great value at just over $18 for two trays plain. Remember cash only. I will definitely return. This is square cut thick crust pizza with a fresh tomato sauce most comparable to Betos although a lot less cheese on top and it's cooked cheese. read more

Delicious pizza, and all home made daily (the pizza shells, the hoagie rolls, and the sauce, that is.) It is a light, thin, crispy square Sicilian-style pizza, very different from most pizza shops, so it might not be what you're expecting, but it is very good! The prices are great. The owners are wonderful, warm and welcoming and friendly while they are working hard at making such a great product. You know, Kennywood lets you leave and get your hand stamped to come back...It's a short walk to leave the park and come to Latina Pizza for a relaxing break and a money-saving option for a better pizza. read more

I have to agree the worst pizza ever! First off you pull in to a parking lot that is surrounded by garbage and clutter. Then you walk in a the staff looks at you like you're bothering them. The restaurant looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the 1980's. The food is flavorless and sometimes burnt. read more

Good pizza at a great price. The unique crust that's both crispy and airy is probably not for everybody, but our whole group liked it. The sauce is good too, light but with a good tomato flavor. The best thing about this place is the management. They went out of their way for our group of seven and the food was out fast. My friend Kevin recently recommended this place to us. He said it has "the best pizza in the world." We stopped here after a day at Kennywood and absolutely LOVED the pizza! The edge crust is crunchy yet airy...absolutely fantastic. The homemade sauce tastes fresh and tomatoey, and the cheese was rich and gooey. My one daughter said "It's so good...I can't stop eating it!". In addition to the excellent food, the service was outstanding. The owner and his daughter were friendly and accommodating, and the fresh pizzas arrived at our table in a very timely manner. To top it off, the two pizzas and 5 drinks were only around $25 and we had leftovers to take home. We definitely plan on stopping here again the next time we are in Pittsburgh. This is the place for Pizza in Munhall, West Mifflin & any place within boundaries. Been coming here since he opened, & The Very Best Italian Hoagie, & Pizza. He makes his own buns, shells, sauce, buys the very best Italian meats for the product. Can't be beat, & the owner & family are quite pleasant, & professional, But when very busy,you can expect a bit of a wait. First off first time ever eating papa johns food! Food was delicious a little too greasy but delicious. I just have a concern about the colour of the sausage served with my food why was it green? Sausage and any other type of meat should not be green! Please explain? Other than the colour of the sausage everything else was delicious and would definitely eat at this place again i just won't be ordering sausages with anything. Thank you have a wonderful day. Fantastic pizza. Probably the best tasting sauce around. I can't believe this place has been around forever and I just tried it.

I have been eating Latina's pizza since Al opened in around 1968. I ate pizza at his Mom and Dad's shop in Duquesne before that. Al got their recipes and opened his shop after they closed. I live in Jefferson Hills and there are plenty of pizza shops near my home but when I want pizza I make the 14 mile round trip to Latina's I have to agree with all the other reviewers. Great pizza, great price,wonderful friendly management,cozy atmosphere. And the Italian hoagies are also outstanding. You can't go wrong with any of their food and the prices are very reasonable. It's a shame more families visiting Kennywood Park don't realize it's there. They could avoid the ridiculously overpriced food served at the park and enjoy much better food. read more

I have to admit, the first time I hate here, I absolutely hated the pizza. And I think it was because I was expecting something completely different than I got. Latina Pizza is very different from most pizza shops. Instead if a round thin crust pizza, this pizza is square, thick, and doughy. The crust is not really that good, but that is not why you get a pizza here. It's the homemade sauce. And that it is a family owned place that is really pretty inexpensive. The other nice thing about this shop is that it is right next to Kennywood. So usually around dinnertime we leave the park and walk over here to order some pizzas and drinks. No lines, no waiting for tables, no outrageous prices. It's a time to recharge, and sometimes we feel like going back to the park, other times we decide to go home. read more

Really good old fashioned pizza., Very cool atmosphere. There isn't any flat bread pizza, but it's the real deal. With a television in the dining room. My personal opinion after eating from here on more than one occasion is that this is the worst pizza shop around. There is nothing good about the pizza but maybe the sauce. The cheese is awful and they cook the toppings under the cheese. If you want a good pizza go somewhere, anywhere else. Oh and they don't take cards but they do have a ATM there so u can pay a extra fee when u use it. read more
