I've had the hoagies here before which are terrific ! I tried their pizza today for the first time and it was awesome ! The best pizza I've had by far since I've been in Pittsburgh ! Ordered a dozen wings and chicken salad total bill $35 . got 10 wings not 12, called asked why they gave me 10 who can't count to 12? they hang up on me , called again hung up on me, called again they said if you call here again we are calling the police. I'm done with this place. I stopped ordering 2 years ago when I was informed my pizza would be delivered within 45 minutes and it took 90 with no plausible reason. The driver said it was still hot. Big deal. I recently decided to give them another chance and the food has gotten consistently worse. It began last month when we ordered fried food and both the wings and mushrooms were nearly black in color due to old grease. When I called last week to order I asked when the last time they changed the fryer oil was. The owner was on the phone and said it was changed the night before. O 0rdered onion rings and when they arrived the color was good but they were swimming in grease as if someone hadn't drained them and just poured them into the container so the grease from the fry basket was still there. NEVER again!!!!! I'm done with this place. I'll stay loyal to Pasquale's in Dravosburg because they are always excellent. read more

I haven't had Pittza Rella in about a year and randomly a few days ago my brain and stomach was craving their unique out of this world delicious steak rolls and pepperoni rolls. When they came, they were even better than I remember them being. This place puts a lot of love into the rolls. Rather than separate round rolls they come in a long roll that's cut into slices. The steak comes with peppers onions and mushroom and cheese. The outside is crispy and perfectly browned and the same goes for the pepperoni rolls. If you are a classic Pittsburgher you'll want some ranch dressing to dip them in so be sure to ask for it cause it doesn't come with it. We also ordered pizza which I never had before and even that impressed me. The cheese and toppings and everything stayed in its place bite after bite. The crust was light and crispy, not too cooked not undercooked, just right. If you are in the West Mifflin/Homestead/Munhall area and you want to try an alternative just as good as Pizza Company with its own flare, Pittza Rella is a great game day decision. read more

One of the worst pizza places in Allegheny county. Cannot seem to get orders done anywhere close to on time and the staff is rude AF.

We stopped by while in the area for a quick dinner. We ordered a chicken rancher hoagie, which is grilled chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion & ranch dressing. We also ordered broccoli puffs. The puffs were really good. They did not taste as if they were frozen, although I'm sure they were. They weren't bad though. The hoagie was delicious. We were full enough after splitting everything. The shop was small but did its job. There were tables. The menu was large and had good options. I cannot comment on the pizza but everything else was good. read more

I do enjoy their pizza from time to time but my review is for the Grilled Tuscan chicken salad. I ordered this thinking I would get hot grilled, seasoned chicken breast on top of my salad. I was so disappointed to get my salad topped with cold prepackaged chicken from Tyson maybe? You could tell it was pressed and formed chicken that was not grilled at all. I was disappointed that they had no Caesar dressing to with this. I will not order chicken salad from here again and recommend that you do not either. read more

Pittza Rella rocks! This is our go-to place. Pizza is excellent. Cheesy, not too saucy (my gf prefers extra sauce, but I think it's awesome as is), toppings are appropriately generous. The crust is halfway between fluffy and thin...with cornmeal. I usually eat the crust, which is an indicator that it's delish. :-) My faves are the Cheeser Pleaser (much cheez!!) and Spinach Feta. The fries are AMAAAAAAZEBALLS. Batter dipped and delicioso. The cheesy bacon fries will make you not even care that you just consumed 300,000 calories (estimate). Hoagies are good, nuthin fancy. But toasted and delish. Oh, except the steak....it's steak-umms or whatever, and not chopped up. Who doesn't at least chop up the steak in a cheesesteak? The salads are ok...classic Pittsburgh with mostly iceberg and tons of fries and cheese. Definitely not my pick from the menu, but it's a pizza place, not a bistro in shadyside. The pasta is also good, but be prepared for a f-ton of cheese if you order the 4 cheese alfredo. You won't poop for a week. The shop itself is a teeny thing, so they are mostly geared for delivery. I *think* they have a couple seats, but I'm guessing they are really for folks to sit when waiting for food. Never had a problem with delivery, but I am certain they know where we live by now! Prices are alright, maybe a little high, but the food is good, so I don't care. We usually drop 30-40 (including tip) for 2 people, but we always order enough for leftovers. read more

Pittzarella is a solid yinzer Italian joint. I've really only had one thing here, but it's solid and I get it regularly. Some people call them hoagies, others Italians, few call them subs around here, but either way it's what I get. Three reasons why their Italians are good: 1) they're very long, larger than 1 ft ('nuff said) 2) they have legit capicola on them 3) they're toasted and the meat gets a little crispy along the edges If I ever get to try more menu items and they are as solid as their Italians they could easily be upgraded. read more

Tried to call and order food. When the person answered they said the name of the place and that it. Didn't ask how they could help me or anything. When I said I wanted to place a order for delivery they said we are only doing pickup and then they didn't say anything else. They just sat there on the line. So politely said never mind and hung up. The owner of this establishment needs to do some serious customer service training with the staff. Called, ordered hot buffalo wings, received BBQ wings. My husband called and explained the error and although the woman on the phone was polite and offered to deliver the correct wings, a guy was yelling in the background that we had ordered hot BBQ and continued to yell until my husband simply hung up. With at least 8 places within 5 min to get pizza/wings, you would think service recovery would be more of a priority. read more

I stopped here for lunch recently after having to do a site visit for work. As you might imagine, pizza is their specialty but I didn't notice whether or not they have pizza slices. They've got an individual build your own pizza though. They've also got your typical hoagies, gyros, salads, & pastas too. I order a hoagie from this place on 11/30/17. I live less than 5min. from this store but it took over 1 hr. for delivery. when I received my order it was cold,hard as a rock and inedible. It's as if they put the burger in a microwave for 30 min. I can't figure any other reason unless the meat was very old. Apparently there is no training for these employees on how to handle food. The food is good when you get it. This was the 5th time we have had issues with our order - it has either been wrong, or ridiculously late. There has never been a communication as to why the mix up or that they received the order but some circumstance is going to cause a delay. I've given Pitta Rella's 4 chances now. Each was progressively worse. First I tried their Pizza, bland and dry. Next wings, small no meat and sauce was not great. I moved onto a buffalo chicken salad, while it was large, there was so much chicken balls and french fries that it could hardly be classified as a salad at all. So now I just tried their peperoni rolls. The Menu reads rolls as plural, but it was just one horseshoe shaped dough with cheese and peperoni stuffed in. The bread can only be described as sandpaper coded, as the roof of my mouth bares it's scar. The only reason why I kept trying this place is because my husband LOVES their supreme Italian hoagie.....so it you like lunch meat on a hoagie roll (that is also burnt and sand paper-esqe) then Pittza Rella's is the place for you, enjoy! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD!!! Ordered a steak hoagie and asked for the bun to NOT be toasted they sent a cold steak and said thats how you get it. When I talked to the what sounded like 15 year old manager she said that it is what it is we should have been clear we wanted it cooked and then she proceeded to tell us she cooked all the steaks that morning! INSANE She then hangs up on me then when i call back they set the reciever down in front of a machine and must of thought Id hang up! How ridiculous and rude NEVER again! I will be contacting the owner this is absolutely ridiculous Wouldnt give them a star if i didnt have too!!!! read more

My kids always order the "Jesse James" pizza and love it. I always get the supreme Italian hoagie and have not been disappointed.
