This place dropped off my pizza about 6pm according to them. I called at 6:45 to see where they were. The garlic knots are rocks with no sauce. The self-named owner/driver argued with me about delivery. I have 3 dogs. If he knocked, they would of barked. No customer service at all. Yes, they came...like ninjas. I will never order their crappy food again! read more

Ordered the wedgie which I used to stop and eat just about every Saturday back growing up in 80's, it was my go to pizza shop. Moved away from Pittsburgh, lived in various states & spent some time in Guam showing various pizza joint how to make their famous Wedgie, but nothing compared. Just moved back, was so happy they were still in business & couldn't wait to order their wedgie. Must be new owners it not a pizza dough folded over with all the Italian hoagie inside, look like premade dough thicker and folded. Just wasn't my cup of tea but some might like. read more

I am not sure how some of the other reviews for the food here are as positive as they are. I tried here for the first time recently and could not have been more disappointed. The crust was not crispy at all. The pizza looked over cooked, which you would think would make for a crisp crust, but it was terrible. The cheese and sauce did not taste very fresh either. I also ordered the wings which were some of the worst I have ever had. I am not sure if they are oven baked, but they definitely seemed like it. Slimy, terrible texture. If they were fried, they need to turn the temperature up or leave them in a lot longer. Nobody wants wings that aren't crispy. The buffalo sauce also did not have much flavor. Finally, the ranch that came with the pizza literally had no flavor. Also, and it is not only this place that does this, but can anyone tell me why takeout places take their sides of ranch, which are sitting in a cold refrigerator, and put them in the box with the steaming hot food? It makes the ranch hot and watery by the time you eat. It makes no sense. Do better. read more

horrible pizza period took a chance and got the two topping extra large pizza deal for 17.99 we got mushrooms, sausage and we paid extra for extra cheese for two dollars and change more ! well let me tell you hardly no mushrooms and you needed a magnifying glass to see the sausage. and you know that extra cheese we paid for they skipped out on it ! hell there was barely any cheese at all on it to begin with. It really sickens me that some of these pizza places just push crappy food out the door and to get mad when you call to complain beware of this mediocre place there is better out there read more

Wow. I only ordered one item for dinner and that were the pepperoni rolls. These were amazing!! Soft and stuffed full of pepperoni, cheese and some delicious oozing garlic butter. I'm getting hungry just writing this. Review is based solely on one food item. read more

My sister, Vi, and I live in Brentwood, and have tried every one of the numerous pizza shops on Route 51. Express is our favorite among them! We love their wings (nice size, great sauce and cooked perfectly), chicken salads (humungous and very tasty, a real value for your money), hoagies (they are huge and so yummy, we usually get steak & cheese), and of course their pizza. I prefer Mineo's pizza, but Express is a good runner-up. Nice chewy crust (not overcooked), a tasty sauce and a good amount of it (not too much or too little), a very generous amount of cheese, and good fresh toppings. We also love their tiramisu. read more

I order from Express pizzeria a lot. I mean a lot a lot, way more than I should. Hahaha! We have tried everything from their Pizza, to their wings, to their appetizers. I have never been disappointed, and keep going back. Their food is amazing. If you are a fan of buffalo chicken, I encourage you to try their buffalo chicken rolls. They are freaking delicious! read more

The Buffalo chicken rolls are the best! The order includes eight rolls, with both ranch and marinara sauces. Also tried on two occasions their specialty Italian hoagie. It's very good and very filling. read more

Absolutely the best hoagies, pizza, and salads anywhere near Baldwin/Whitehall/Brentwood! This is the only pizza shop we ever use now. Since the new owner took over, the shop is so much more efficient. We do pick-up and always get our orders in about 20 minutes. I highly recommend Express Pizzeria! read more

I wish I could give this place a ZERO stars rating, absolutely horrible service, I waited an hour and a half for my order, I called them ten minutes after it was supposed to arrive just for them to respond with "you're out of our delivery zone" I live ten minutes away and why allow people to place orders if it's too far? Stole 50 dollars from me, will never ATTEMPT to order again. read more

All around Great food! Wings are nice and crispy. The Pizza is one of the best in the area. Good crust and sauce I 100% recommend.

We live close . Have ordered so many things from their menu like wings, gyros, hoagies, ravioli, spaghetti etc. Everything has been outstanding. Wonderful food. Can't praise it enough Delivery is also fast and food is always hot. Love the place. read more

Food is absolutely delicious. I stopped to get pizza before going to work, a little bit later I get these messages. How unprofessional and honestly creepy. Won't order from here ever again. read more

This pizza is amazing! Easily one of my favorite pizza shops in Pittsburgh. The sauce is a little bit sweet which I loved!

I have ordered from this place for about two years now. Never in person, so nobody knew my name--but I was certainly a regular. The #19 special was my favorite, and I ordered at least once a month. (Shhhh I know it's not healthy) Long story short they messed up my order one day, and when I called for a replacement the driver just brought ranch. I called again and a woman told me they had in fact made my food--that the driver didn't bring it.They called me later that day, I spoke to the manager and he said he'd take my number and my food would be free. I order the next day so my number wouldn't expire where it was written--and I get a call from them. This time its the original driver, judging by the voice. He IMMEDIATELY tell me me I won't get my discount. He then begins to insult me, calls me a liar, disrespects me, and says he's the manager--the owner in fact--and that he never wrote my number down. When I asked for a name he told me it was "Patriot." When he called I was kind initially, I mean I thought I was about to get free food, so it really came out of nowhere. I was speechless!(well not quite, we definitely exchanged some words)I love their food!It was my go-to...and with one phone call they completely soured me to the business forever.I still have yet to speak to the person who answered me the previous day, but I've decided that's probable not the best move. I'd love to be able to order from them again because I LOVE it. But blatantly lying to a customer, and speaking to them that disrespectfully: no way. I'll never. But the food is a great. The service however, is god awful.‍‍ read more

A very excellent restaurant! Every menu item I have tried is delicious! I really like the chicken wings and the Mediterranean pasta! I love this place! read more

I ordered food for pick up - pepperoni rolls and wings- everything was perfect. Wings were crispy and saucy, just how I like. The pepperoni rolls were great. They weren't doughy as I find with many places. Just the right amount of cheese to pepperoni to dough ratio. The staff was friendly which is a bonus as well. This place is my new fav. read more

I ordered from grubhub and they said an hour to hour and 15 mins for delivery but I got it about 30 mins after I placed my order, So fast delivery. I got a buffalo chicken pizza and it was so good. It have trouble finding one that is spicy and theirs is. Also tons of cheese and buffalo fries. You have to open your mouth real wide to get a bite. I also ordered cheesecake and wasn't to happy about those. I didn't expect them to be homemade or anything but the strawberry one came frozen. The top had ice particles on it and I couldn't get a piece off. Luckily the person I got it for wasn't home to eat it right away so it could defrost. The oreo cheesecake came fine though. I guess they don't sell a lot of strawberry so they keep it in a freeze and the oreo in a fridge. If the strawberry one wasn't frozen I would have give 5 stars and I'll try other items. read more

Got pizza and wings here last weekend and it was disappointing. The pizza was nothing special at all. Pretty much as basic as it gets. It wasn't bad, but wasn't good. The wings were so slimy and had no crunch. I took one bite. The food was ready in time and my husband said the guys working were super nice. However, we will not be ordering from here again. read more

We have ordered twice now. The food (buffalo chicken pizza, gyro platter, garden salad and 2-liter soda) was good, fresh and hot. Delivery was prompt, however, both times my yelp order was not completed accurately. We like the Buffalo chicken pizza but didn't want the chicken on it this time...we still got chicken. Twice asked for extra cucumber sauce for gyro but didn't receive it either time. Ordered a Dr. Pepper but received a coke. read more

I live quite close to this place and delivery time is always less than the estimate. The pizza is solid! I ordered the carbonara pasta another time and it was an inedible greasy mess, but considering it's bacon and alfredo sauce I'm willing to overlook it considering how good their pizza is. read more

The very best place for everything on the menu! They are kind...never ever talked to a mean employee! Fast! With ordering to your door so fast everytime! And the food!! We hardly ever order else where ! Please try! read more

My bf and I normally LOVE this place and order here from Grubhub all the time. Given the current economic status of the country and the struggle of smaller businesses, I wanted to call and order from them directly. The shop itself is about 16 minutes away from my home, we order the same thing every time, and it's always been delivered without a problem. I called the store, ordered, gave them my card information and address, and the guy on the phone tells me that they "don't deliver to this address". Which led to my next question, "why not?". We've ordered from here a dozen times and there's never been an issue. To which he said "it's just not worth it for your $11 pizza." I'm not trying to be a Karen i swear i wasn't even mad that they couldn't deliver but the fact that my "$11 pizza" wasn't "worth it" even though they've delivered it through GrubHub every other time was ridiculous. Then he told me that if i ordered more they would MAYBE deliver it to me. I hung up on him. read more

We received a flyer in the mail today and figured we'd give it a go. This is by far, hands down, the best pizza we have had since we moved back to Pittsburgh! We have deffinetly found our new pizza shop! We ordered a large 12 cut pepperoni pizza, whole steak hoagie, an 12 garlic parm wings ... $25.00 w/reusable coupon . Everything was just perfectly cooked, delivered hot, and just awesome! Can't wait to order again! read more

Called to place an order for delivery this evening, gentleman refused as, "they were busy and no longer taking orders"! I was surprised and taken aback by this, considering they are a pizza business offering delivery. Will never use this pizzeria again, that's for sure! My recommendation, be sure they are "not busy" ~ apparently they do not operate well during these times! read more

Placed a Grubhub order; it was canceled with no explanation. When I called to ask why, they said it was a $25 minimum order "all the way out there" (I'm 2 miles away on a highway). Their Grubhub page says nothing at all about minimum orders. read more

Typical Pittsburgh pizza delivery joint with one exception- the sandwiches are enormous. A whole sub is easily a filling meal for two. My only complaint is that they use "buffalo fries" (similar to Arby's fries but waffle, not curly) on their buffalo chicken sandwich. Not enough chicken and too many fries. The pizza is great! Must be the same folks as Venice pizzeria because the menus and quality are identical. read more

Our Friday night ritual has become an extra large white pizza with an order of cheesy breadsticks. The best! I pick it up on my way home from work and its still hot bybthe time i get home. I ordered from here before and had no problems. Food was great! However, this last time I ordered, I only ordered a medium pizza and was notified my order was cancelled. I called to ask why and was told they didn't want to deliver to me in Castle Shannon for such a small order. Then how come on Grubhub it states no minimum for delivery? If they are going to be picky over which orders they will deliver, they need to establish a minimum. Very misleading! read more

My boyfriend and I ordered from this place via grubhub almost 2 hours ago. We we're incredibly excited about all of the positive reviews, and ordered steak hoagies. After waiting 30 minutes past the estimated wait time of one hour and still not receiving a text saying our food is on the way, my boyfriend called the restaurant. The guy who answered the phone was rude and insisted he had called (to tell us they dont deliver to our area even though we're only 3 miles away and it has our area as a delivery area) and no one answered the phone, and since it was my phone he supposedly called my boyfiend handed the phone over to me. I explained that I did not recieve a phone call and that my phone had been in front of me the entire time. At that point he decided to switch his story and say that he called grubhub and it was their fault. To those that use grubhub, you know that when you or a restaurant have an issue with an order, you contact them or they contact you directly. Upon hanging up with him and talking to the nice lady at grubhub, I learned that he never actually contacted grubhub either. They were perfectly okay with letting us sit here hungry all night waiting for food that would never come. The customer service is why they're getting one star. I don't care if the food tastes like it was made by Jesus himself, I will never eat here. read more

The search for good hoagies in the South Hills might finally be over! Ordered the two hoagie special out of their flyer - a steak and a buffalo chicken. Both were delicious! I do wish they put lettuce and tomato on the buffalo chicken, but it's forgivable. The chicken and fries were crispy and not drowned in buffalo sauce which I appreciated. Ranch dressing on the side was a nice touch, to keep the bread from getting soggy. The steak was great too, the lettuce hadn't wilted under the heat and the peppers and onions still had a bit of bite to them. Express uses Mancini's bread for their hoagies and it makes such a difference in quality. Delivery was surprisingly quick considering the snow. I'll definitely be ordering from here again - looking forward to seeing if the pizza is as good as the hoagies! read more
