Located in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh is the small & unassuming takeout pizzeria known as Pizzeria Perfectta. I may be a bit biased, but this was our go-to spot for pizza when I had family living in the area, so I always make it a point to hit them up whenever I'm back in Pittsburgh. Pizza quality has been fairly consistent throughout the years. While it doesn't compare to the quality of pizzerias in the NY/NJ area, it's perfectly solid to satisfy any pizza craving, and probably one of the best pies you can find in Pittsburgh. One of the things which sets Pizza Perfectta apart is their excellent customer service and business practices. They proactively offer discounts if you order direct from them, and show a genuine kindness and appreciation for your business when you chat with them when you go to pick up. The employees light up with a smile when I tell them I make it a point to order food from them every time I visit Pittsburgh. My order was horrible, I ordered my food on June 4th 2026 at approximately 9:30 p.m., when I place my order I waited 15 minutes before it entering the pizza perfecta location, and from the door my order wasn't right, I had to wait a half an hour because the meatballs that I ordered for my daughter wasn't on the receipt but I already paid them for the meatballs with cheese that was an additional $3, I get home and realize that the meatballs didn't have no cheese on them so I proceeded the call to representative hopefully they rectified order the first thing he said to me was there's nothing we can do, so proceeded and said I want my money back, the representative said no all I can do is give you a discount of $3 I said I want my money back and I'm on my way to come get my money back you can have this order, because the chicken parmesan had the meat sauce on the outside of the cheese and it made the bread mushy soggy like soup, so I immediately rush back to the store ask the gentleman for my money back he was mad cuz I kept saying I want my refund I want my refund this order is horrible, I never had this happen at this location. I'm from Jersey/New York area. So I typically talk smack about the pizza in Pittsburgh. But this place is sweet! The first place I go for Pizza, or just good comfort food. For pizza, you are definitely food with plain, but they have typical toppings as well. They also have great fries, chicken fingers, garlic knots, mozz sticks, etc. Wings are to die for. Their sandwiches are great too, personally I go with the chicken/bacon/ranch. The staff are awesome too, always friendly but straight to it. So happy it's right around the corner! read more
