When i first moved to munhall the food was excellent. This was my go to place. We even gave the owner a statue of a pizza man. However, after they caught on fire and reopened the food went down hill fast. I ordered a plain pizza and it was burnt top to bottom. I called and was told the manager was not there and he would call back. I never got a call back. I went the next morning to speak to the owner or manager. He was a heavy guy who could barely walk. He said they don't give refunds. I showed him the pizza that was black. He gave me half of my money back, so I never went back. Food: 0 service: 0 and the ambiance is a 0. Their Hawaiian Pizza was just what Kay needed to kill her pang-plagued stomach. The bacon, ham, and pineapple were generous as was (perhaps too much so) the deeply savory sauce which came off like a hearty tomato soup. The crust was truly the pie's best quality, however. Imagine the perfect balance between crispness and chew, and let Mama have her way...with you. Also rock-solidly good was my half Italian Hoagie, one that succeeded with both a quality bread that was baked through yet not so much that it lost its plushness and a very ample helping of meats in addition to the requisite fresh vegetables and dressing. I have been trying a few things here and there from this place since July 2018. First time I ordered a wedgie and it was soggy and smothered in sauce. The next time I ordered pepperoni rolls and my friend ended up on the toilet with a trash can in front of them for the next two days. The last time I went there for onion rings this past week of September and I get onions that were legitimately fried five layers into one ring, it wasn't cooked, there was raw dough between the layers and I was completely upset I wasted any money here. However every time I try to get something else it's a fail. This last time I ordered a gyro salad no green peppers. When it arrived not only did it have green peppers but the gyro meat was completely cold. I called to complain and get a new salad. The employees are always so helpful and always mention coupons they have going on and always so polite. I have a health issue and sometimes just don't feel like cooking so we always call them. The pizza here is GREAT and it's one of the best I've eaten on this side of town. It's the type of pizza you crave. When I come to Pittsburgh to visit, I have to come here to get my pizza. I would give my experience negative stars if possible. First I was told I couldn't have a topping removed from my food, I had to have it their way, not as I prefer. Ok so I suck it up and deal with that. Arrived on time to pick my food up to be greeted by the most unproffesional staff. I greeted her friendly, paid, and said thank you only to get back a smug look. After waiting 25 minutes my food was finally ready and again thanked the girl taking orders and got no response at all, just the same smug look. Sometimes people just want a "Thank you for your business", hell just a thanks would've worked. Your job is to take orders and greet your customers with professionalism and respect, you dont own the damn joint. If you cant do that find a new job to where you dont have to deal with people or have to have people skills. Consistently disappointing. Delivery and pick up is always way longer than what they tell you it's going to be. The wings and breadsticks are ALWAYS boxed carelessly. Ordered Large Pizza with bacon, received a pepperoni pizza. Called, sw girl that took my order, said to give the driver the wrong pizza and that our bacon pizza would be here in 30 minutes, then said 'hold', she got back on and said the manager said, keep the pepperoni due to it being their error and that they were sending the bacon. An hour later I called back & the same girl said, we tried calling, you didn't answer- they didn't and said were charging you for a second pizza, I said no, you need to get the wrong one and provide me with the one we ordered, hold for a manager, not please hold, but hold. Manager - Nick got on after 15 minutes and said and I quote- not a hello or anything, starts with "yeah, I'm not taking a loss, were charging you for another pizza due to the girl saying that you changed your mind from pepperoni to bacon", I said no, repeated order to her twice, ordered bacon from the beginning and this is our first time ordering from them, he said will do another one, not taking loss, charging your card, I said no you need to make this wrong, right, he said yeah we'll see and hung up. I never encounted such a rude establishment, inept people and never received the correct one. Wouldn't have eaten it anyway and the same Pepperoni pizza I received wrong went in the garbage, can't trust the established, why would we attempt to eat it! read more

Today we ordered a pizza. The bottom of the crust was dark and burnt with a burnt taste. I called the restaurant to let them know. I didn't require a replacement, I would have been happy with a credit on my account. The lady who takes the orders said they can replace it but they have to have the pizza back. I wasn't trying to get a free pizza. I have children who were hungry. Children who normally arent picky, but even they said this pizza tasted bad. I asked if there was anyway they could just credit my account, because the kids couldn't wait that long. She said it would be 15 minutes. 45 minutes later.... The restaurant sent the poor driver back out in the cold with a replacement pizza. I already had cooked something else for the kids, so this pizza was useless at this point. The lady calls me back out of the blue to inform me I've been placed on the "do not deliver " list, because I've wasted their time and the pizza wasn't burnt. No hello, no professionalism, just the above statement. I work as a chef in a restaurant, so I know a thing or two about food. I tried to explain to her, when you run a business, occasionally there will be an issue, and you never argue with your customer or scream at them, especially when that customer's feedback could help your business become better. I asked to speak with the manager. He was even worse. Absolutely no customer service skills or professionalism whatsoever. He wouldn't even listen to me. He kept screaming, don't call back here, don't waste our time, we don't burn pizza. Basically he was saying oh we are perfect and never make mistakes, and any customer that has a concern, we automatically put on the "do not deliver list". I could not believe the disrespect and lack of customer service. And the nerve to say I wasted their time, when my hungry kids had to wait over two hours, when we were originally quoted 30 minutes? !?!?! Do worry Mama Pepinos. We will never order from you again. Your entire staff needs classes in business management, customer service, cooking and learning how to create repeat customers. I have ordered from here numerous times. A FEW times the pizza took over an hour to deliver to my house and I never complained because I understand things happen. Most recently it took an hour and forty five minutes for my pizza because they burnt the first one and had to remake it. I said that was fine and didn't even complain. I always call and order the special, big mama with one topping. Since I just like cheese and my husband likes toppings we usually get half plain and half with two toppings which equals one topping. Never was I charged extra. Today this all changed and I was told if I got half with pepperoni and half sausage then I wouldn't be charged extra. But because I wanted half plain ( no topping) and half with the pepperoni and sausage I would be charged extra. Literally doesn't make sense. After being an understanding customer all the times they were late with no complaint this is how they repay you. I will never order from them again. I suggest you don't either. A business that doesn't put their customers first is not a business you should waste your time or money on. read more
