Matcha Boba Milk Tea, fruit tea boba
Jordan H.

The boba was very delicious! I will definitely be coming back here. The people were very kind and service was swift! I enjoyed the setting of this place.

French fries

I've ordered Uptown Kitchen 1-2 times a week since the Pandemic started. Their pizza is so dang good. It reminds me a lot of the New York style pizza I grew up with in New Jersey. The crust is delicious, medium thickness. Great sauce to cheese ratio, balance of sweet, savory, and the teeny, tiniest bit of zest. I always get broccoli and spinach in my pizza. I'm pretty sure the broccoli and spinach are both fresh, which completely add to the appeal. They're generous with their toppings. Like many Pittsburgh pizza establishments, they serve their pies with a ranch dressing. I've ordered the mozzarella sticks a few times. Very good, has to mess up. The dipping marinara is pretty good. Also the fries. They have some sort of good coating on them. Included with Heinz ketchup! I really wish I could eat at Uptown Pizza, but this is the best for now. I've ordered them off Grubhub, Postmates, and Door Dash.

Was about to take a nice bite and noticed hair :(
Quay S.

Amazing customer service hence the 3 stars BUT this is the second time I had hair in my food. I have locs so my hair does not shed. Whoever is making the food PLEASE wear a hair net this is unacceptable I can't finish my food Update: June 17th at 1:52 am I received a message with a Subject: food hair set up Just by the subject I knew this wouldn't be a professional message. This person did not say they were. Just accusing me of setting up hair(even though I paid, tipped and refused when they offered a new plate the first time it happened.) I took a screenshot of the message. I'm so disappointed. This message made it worst, I couldn't go back or recommend anyone

Mini meat lovers - so good!!
Ellen M.

Ordered food and had it delivered on a recommendation from my hotel. It was late when I got in and there were no places close by still open. Their mini meat lovers pizza was the perfect size for me. It had 4 slices and was loaded up with meats. Crust was tasty and fluffy. I also got a small side salad which was incredibly fresh. Hats off to them on that since salad always seems to be an afterthought with pizza places.

Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo with side salad and garlic bread
Chai A.

Really good and decently priced. I ordered the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Pasta for lunch at work. It came with a small side salad and big piece of garlic bread for $12.99. The next day I had cheesy breadsticks and a steak salad. The portions were massive and way too much for one person (even though I tried lol). The pasta was perfect... Great flavor, fresh broccoli and tons of chicken. Highly recommend this place!

Pepperoni and sausage pizza
Susan R.

I ordered off of GrubHub and the seafood pizza is delicious. Huge shrimp wonderful sauce even visible pieces of lobster. The 3 pepperoni pizza I added sausage too and I shouldn't have. The sausage was salty and the crust on this pizza was tough.. All in all a good pizza place

Excellent pizza! Great selection and also a gluten free option! Just a short walk around the corner from Duquesne. Will definitely return.

BEST SMASHBURGER IN PITTSBURGH…read more It would be hard to convince me otherwise. As soon as you step into the unassuming, corner burger spot, you feel instantly teleported into a retro spot. The colors, dining furniture, even the menu transports you back in time and feels so cozy. Order at the front with the cashier and drinks are bottled in the cooler next to it. I ordered a cheeseburger with everything minus pickles, chili cheese hotdog with mustard and onions and some french fries and a chocolate shake..... don't judge me lol. It's a smash burger so if you're hungry, maybe get a double the onions that come with it are grilled, which was a nice surprise and the sauce they put on the burger was really good. The hotdog had a nice snap to it which I don't care either way, but I know some people are big on that the chili had no beans which is the only way to have it when it comes to a hotdog or french fries and it's made by the local restaurant up the street brothMonger. Everything is made fresh to order even the fries. And the chocolate milkshake was made with actual chocolate ice cream same with vanilla and strawberry. I'll definitely be back to try the onion rings because they looked delicious and served with ranch from a local spot.

Thank me later! ) What really made the experience even better than just having great waffles, was the people. General Manager Sharon and Assistant Manager Kelsey were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed excited to help. The owner Len was EXTREMELY responsive to my email & text inquiries (which honestly is rare these days.) As a small business owner myself, I notice and appreciate that kind of effort immediately!! This place is absolutely underrated. Between the amazing staff, the aesthetic Instagram/TikTok worthy storefront, and food & drinks that are ACTUALLY delicious (because sometimes places only nail one or the other ), they've got the full package! Plenty of seating inside & out. clean bathrooms, self-service kiosks but they also have a register if you are lazy like me. Parking can be a little challenging, but there are several nearby garages that make it manageable. 10/10 experience. So grateful we got the chance to try smashed waffles. The cinnamon roll coffee I ordered was also fantastic and a very smooth and sweet drink. Everything was fantastic, and the owner was extremely kind and welcoming. I will definitely be back!

There was a friendly gal at the door taking names and numbers. I could hardly believe the wait time but decided to put down my name and do a little window shopping during the wait. It was entertaining to say the least. Our server was super friendly and accommodating to dietary restrictions/modifications. I ordered a Turkish Benedict on gluten free toast.... So. Good. Amazing flavors. My daughter got the croissant avocado toast which she loved. I also got a pistachio latte and was pleasantly surprised to see the used pistachio butter and not a syrup. It was lovely. I had to keep my child from drinking it all! While the wait was long, it was definitely worth it. The space is smaller than I imagined. The food came out fast for how packed it was. Everything from the sandwiches to the scones to the sweets were tasty. They weren't the fanciest I've experienced at afternoon tea but they were good! That being said, they advertise it as high tea which is NOT correct. That's an entirely different thing (more of a supper) and is not interchangeable with "afternoon tea." What they have here is afternoon tea and I wish they would advertise it as such. Aside from that pet peeve of mine, using the wrong terminology, it's a nice spot and I would recommend it if you're in the area.

The chicken salad stuffed gouger was divine. The scones were the best I've had. Crunchy on the outside, while warm and fluffy in the middle. I could have eaten ten of the cinnamon scones. The cool vibe restaurant is tucked away up a short flight of stairs on Filbert Street. It gives the place a cozy, hideaway feel with brick walls and murals. It's pretty popular, so you might have to wait a few minutes for a table, but it moves pretty quick. The menu focuses heavily on crepes and French toast, and they do both very well. I went for a savory crepe that was loaded with eggs and topped with a rich sauce and diced vegetables. It came with a side of fresh fruit which was a nice touch. We also ordered a sweet crepe to share. It was beautifully presented with chocolate drizzle, berry sauce, and a massive pile of whipped cream. The coffee is solid too. But the star of the show for me is the Shakshouka. I have gotten it the last 2 times I went. You also have to try their Dirty Chai. My only critique is the hostess at the front. She appeared overwhelmed by her role and was not warm. We were actually told by the waiters that "she is serious about her list". Which would be great if she managed it effectively. When I brought concerns that we had been pushed down the list 3 times for other parties. She responded "well, how do you know that" to which I responded "we watched you take their names down after ours and sit them before us". Her response was to shoo me off and tell me to go find a table myself; to which I did. But what a poor way to manage your stress, responsibility, and consumers. On the bright side my waiter/waitress was awesome per usual.
