After many mixed experiences I would say it's just okay. Inconsistent. Thought it was good the first time- the last 2-3 times just ok. Today I finally tried their cheesesteak (originally from outside of Philadelphia) and it wasn't good at all and had a strange seafood taste- me and my husband agreed and we didn't finish eating it.

This pizza is PHENOMENAL! Hands down, best I have ever had. We stopped by on St. Patrick's Day to grab a bite to eat and it was the best decision ever. My boyfriend went up to the counter to order while my sister and I grabbed one of the picnic tables. ([[HIGHLIGHT]]If the weather is crappy, I'm not sure if I would eat there since it is all outside - but take the pizza home! It is too good to not get![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]) [[HIGHLIGHT]]There also were bathrooms in the restaurant next door which was nice to have![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The pizza was fantastic, but the experience with the quaint pizza window was unfortunately soured by the woman working the window around 6:50 PM on July 27th. She appeared to be in her 30s with brown hair and had a noticeably passive-aggressive attitude for no clear reason. Because of this, we ended up with a cold pizza. That's not something we expected from a place known for great food. Disappointing when other customers and their pups showed more courtesy and warmth than your staff.

Got takeout from pizzeria davide for rain night in and received quick service. We got the old world classic large Pizza, the Bianco (white) pizza + some mozzarella sticks and cannolis. It was light but still feeling and always delicious. They even threw in some cheese slices for the dogs! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Will definitely be back again soon especially with their outdoor patio set up for Summer[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Dorothy? Are we in Philly? Hell no, we are in the strip district in Pittsburgh Pa. PD is no joke with food, food and more food. We heard that somewhere in the strip there was a Genuine Cheese whiz cheesesteak and they were so right. Ooey Gooey Goodness with a soft roll, delicious steak and that Cheese. Mama Mia., that is some good stuff; but wait one second...I digress: don't forget the Pizza and the rest. The cheese sticks, the meatballs the pesto and dipping sauces...WOW! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Don't miss this place...people are great, Food is top notch and who can beat eating outside in the strip district.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No not Philly...PITTSBURGH PA BABY... Stuffed!

Meatball pineapple hot honey sriracha specialty slices

Came as part of pizza passport and first time here. Server was super friendly. Of the cheese, pepperoni, and daily special, I selected the intriguing meatball pineapple hot honey sriracha. The slices were generously cut and toppings melded very nicely together. The hot honey leaned sweet which was nice with the meatball. Really enjoyed the creativity in this and can't wait to come back!

On a work trip out of Arlington and stopped for a pizza after seeing David Portnoy review. Service was excellent and the pizza was great. Also had the meatballs and I would definitely come back just for those. Overall great experience and will come back next time I am in Pittsburgh.

Ok I knew this pizza was good but I didn't realize it was THIS good. I also was leaning towards the plain until I tried the pepperoni and banana peppers. It was incredible! I could have pizza every day and this could be in the routine for sure.

Rock solid New York style pizza pies, or you can also get them by the slice! There is a walk-up window where you order and only outdoor seating is available...but of course you can always take-away as well. Staff appeared to be working their butts off in the back, my whole pie took about 20 minutes from order to delivery though the window. Crust was medium thin and had a great chew to it. Sauce was on the tangier / zestier side (which I love) and the cheese and toppings were on point. Looking forward to return trips here when we're jonesing for another pizza!

Some of the best pizza you'll get in Pittsburgh, PA. An XL, Extra cheese is always my go to - but I LOVE their spinach and artichoke pizza SO much too - it's hard to not get both! Service is always great and on time. Thanks for creating some of the best extra cheese a girl could ask for! *located behind dianoias*

Garlic Knots - ate too quick
    Lynn R.

We wanted pizza and gave PD a try. We ordered a large cheese, and large sausage and a side of garlic knots. Total: $70.00 Highlight: The garlic knots were the BEST I have ever tried. The outside was crispy and golden and the inside soft. Seriously delish. Low: The sausage pizza - the bottom was burnt and therefore the taste was masked on the pizza and not the best. I don't care for my crust burnt. The cheese pizza was cooked well. I'm giving this 4 stars because the knots were divine. I recommend checking the pizza before accepting it especially for this price.

My salad was slimy: tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce was brown. I could have asked to get pizza instead, but it looked dehydrated and burnt.

Even though it was late we were greeted with exceptional customer service and were seated at a table. Our waiter, Remi with an I and not a Y was absolutely fabulous. He made great suggestions and the food did not disappoint. I ordered the 16 inch pepperoni with bacon. My daughter ordered the pepperoni roll and my wife ordered the meatballs and 2 Bianca slices. My wife's name is also Bianca so a double bonus. Our food came out about 15 minutes later and everything was piping hot. To my surprise the pepperoni came with the real bacon strips on top and not your average bacon bits. The sourdough is top notch as well. I ate 6 of the 8 slices while my daughter ate two along with her pepperoni roll. My daughter enjoyed her roll but did wish it had more cheese. My wife enjoyed her meatballs. They give you 4 and are a decent size. She was only able to eat 3. The Bianca slice is a healthy thick slice. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Driftwood. The service was OUTSTANDING (Remi). The food was good. We ended up staying 20 minutes past closing and didn't notice any change in customer service. This place is definitely worth a shot.

It's on a dilapidated brick road that you essentially have to drive up at a crawl speed to prevent your car from rattling a part, and there's rarely parking. HOWEVER, somehow, this adds to the charm. The journey makes the reward that much better, I suppose. When you enter the pizzeria, it feels like how a pizzeria should. It's small and noisy, and the smells are overpowering. The staff is too busy for small talk. They're making dough (see what I did there?). I love it. The sauce is sweet, which isn't how I typically want a pizza sauce to taste, but it's also what makes their pizza so unique. You won't find another pizza that tastes like this. We were told there would be a wait, but our pizza was ready right when they said it would be. The staff was also extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Parking was a little tricky because of the location, but it was definitely worth it! The standout feature of this pizza for me was the flavor of the cheese (especially when paired with onions) that combination was easily my favorite part. They use a very generous, thick layer of cheese, which creates a rich and indulgent pizza. The cheese is quite oily and can slide off the crust, so personally the amount of cheese and oil was a little heavier than my usual preference. However, the chewy crust holds up well to the toppings, and there was still something really addictive about the overall flavor and texture of that cheese. One thing that surprised me was how good it was the next day when eaten cold. I actually prefer this pizza cold. The cheese and onions complemented each other even more, and the pizza felt a little less oily while allowing the flavors to shine even more. Overall, this is definitely a top-tier pizza place in the area. If you enjoy a flavorful, cheesy pizza with a great chewy crust, I would absolutely recommend giving it a try!
