My family has been visiting Luciano's for a long time now, and we always have a good experience…read more This particular visit, we came on a rainy Friday evening in May. Luciano's is located in Bethel Park in the middle of a quiet neighborhood. There is indoor seating, as well as carry out available. It is not huge on the inside, but there are probably at least 10 tables. On this day, it was not too crowded and we got a table right away. Our server was attentive to us and did a good job at taking our special request order correctly. Whenever we needed something, she provided it quickly. There were four of us total, so we decided to order the two Large 16" Pizzas special for $36.50. We were able to order one of those as a Traditional Pizza Half Plain and Half Pepperoni, and then a White Pizza, with a special request of putting the tomatoes on top of the cheese instead of underneath. We also got the Zucchini Planks to share as an appetizer. We enjoyed the zucchini before the pizzas came out. Some of them were sort of small, but there was definitely enough for the four of us to share. It came with a marinara sauce to dip. Our pizzas came out relatively quickly. We have always loved their pizza, and this time was no different. Both the White Pizza and the Traditional were hot and cooked perfectly. The pizza is not Thu. crust, but also not extremely bread-heavy, either. A perfect medium that will satisfy most parties. There was plenty for all of us to eat, and we had some leftovers to take home. I thought the value for what we got was great. With the pizza deal, the bill came to less than $50 for the four of us to eat. And we all had enough to eat with plenty left for leftovers. As usual, we had a great experience at Luciano's. We will definitely be back, as this is one of our go-to pizza spots in the South Hills!

We ordered the provolone wedges to start. They were crispy and delicious. We ordered a meatball for the kids to share and they each got the kid's pasta. We shared the pepperoni pizza which was so good. Our waitress dropped off our food and let us know that the pepperoni was underneath the cheese. So delicious! They have a large bar menu along with non-alcoholic options that I appreciate. The weather wasn't great so we weren't able to sit outside, but their outdoor patio is very spacious and looks like a great area. We will absolutely be back soon!

Expansive Pittsburgh pizza dynasty with the maximum cheese allowed for proper pizza proportions…read more I love Mineo's. Big member of their fan club. We drive out from Monroeville just to grab their pies. Located in Squirrel Hill, parking can be a bit of a challenge, but there is a pay-to-park lot across the street tucked behind the businesses. Also, with old school class, Mineo's is cash only. They do have an ATM right in the store - in case you forgot. Dynasty loading - as they now have 4 shops including one directly in the Pittsburgh Airport (check their updated box logos with an airplane flying around!) All day. All year. Always- I would think to give Mineo's five stars, but this order was disappointing. The crust was over floured and lifeless, the cheese was missing the signature flavor pack of herbs, and the toppings were very clumped together under the cheese... but even these nitpicks- this place is a must go to! We ordered three large (and yes, that's a large large) pizzas - mushroom, extra cheese, and pepperoni. They are renowned for their thick layer of cheese with the toppings buried beneath. And this time, all of the pieces were well cut - which is rare. Service was quick. They know how to move through the takeout orders and even if they don't, pull up a seat and enjoy the theater of pizza making that you can witness in the expansive dining area.

I just finished a writing session with a friend at another place and just wanted to grab something quick to take home.. I got 2 slices pepperoni and 1 buffalo chicken..$15 Since there was nothing else open and all I wanted to do was eat something " fresh" and go home to bed I opted in.. anyway.. every single pizza behind the glass looked very dry and stale . I chose the " lesser of evils" of the dry looking pizza . On each slice there was no sauce.. minimal cheese and all pizza dough. No chicken at all on the buffalo slice.. minimal dry cheese.. and a huge zig zag of franks hot sauce splattered all over the dry dough triangle .. what I think this place is .. if your drunk and wanna quick bite to get sleeping your stomach after bar hopping you stop here.. cause nothing else is open after 10 on a weeknight . So u stop here or Burger King.. thinking Sals is the better choice.. I truly believe they just throw pizza together using minimal ingredients, and charge you $5 for dough.. flour yeast and water is way cheaper food cost for them than pizza sauce, cheese and toppings.. I think they are cheating and overcharging their customers for a " sub par" food item and rely on people drunk leaving bars on a weeknight just to generate income.. I'll never spend my $ here again. Lesson learned.. I know it sounds harsh.. but I'm being 100% transparent ! Hope others have a better experience, but I truthfully doubt it..
