I got takeout from here last week. The girl at the counter was extremely friendly. I ordered the Banana Pepper hoagie. It was ready when promised. The whole hoagie was huge. Only ate one half of it. The hoagie was good and not too spicy. It definitely needed more marinara though. Extra charge if you use a credit card fyi.

Do not waste you time or money at this location (North Hills). Reached out to them regarding this subpar pizza and got no explanation or response. Maybe stick to the original unless they are all just a money grab now based on reputation. $24.50 + tip for this and I know I got ripped off.....

Service js always good. Attentive and kind and offered suggestions. I had the stuff peppers because they are amazing and my daughter has to have the Sicilian slices. A bit too much crust for me but she likes it a lot! Salad was the best house salad ever- large and lots of stuff- cheese, olives, cucumbers etc..... dressings are homemade and the Italian and ranch were outstanding. I love the wildwood location- right by Rachel Carson trial if you want to take a hike first!

Took my Mother to Mineo's (at her request) for her birthday. It's super close to where she lives and has a great reputation for food. The pizza was good, the thing that was surprising was that the pepperoni is UNDER the cheese (and boy there's lots of it)! The chicken parm was okay, a little too fried for my taste and I found it odd it didn't come with a noodle. The house salad was bomb, the dressing was magnificent - probably my favorite part of the meal. Our service was great! The waitress was so friendly and personable and made us feel at home. The place is small and if you don't get there early enough you could be waiting a long time. They have a really nice bar and tv set up, wouldn't be a bad place to watch a game. Will definitely be back!

We had lunch today, a shared fish sandwich platter, at Mineos. Given that we only had one off-menu item and the dining room was nearly deserted, this review is pretty superficial and of limited use. The fish sandwich and fries were very good and the coleslaw was decent. The price was fair, although they added, undisclosed, a couple of percent extra if you paid with a credit card, which virtually everyone does. That's a despicable practice. The interior of the building has been nicely redone since we were last there, in the Tuscan Inn days. Service was prompt and friendly. The regular menu is what you should expect from a red-sauce Italian restaurant, with low prices and a decent, fairly priced, all Italian wine list. We decided to return soon for a weekday dinner.

This place has been on my list to try for a while. Very nice family-run business. Wife and I came on a Wednesday for date night (Wednesday is $10 off wine bottles). Ordered some wine, a house salad, arancini, and then split a "small" hand tossed pizza (that was still huge despite descriptor). Wine was great and reasonably priced. The house salad was also great (recommend the peppercorn dressing). Nice chunks of mozzarella, tons of greens, peppers, onions, cucumbers, etc. And the arancini was fantastic. Often times it's overly dense and it loses all subtlety. Not the case here. Really good! As for the pizza, the crust was A1. Thick but not too doughy. And I don't know if it's firebrick oven or whatever they use, but the crisp, slight char on the crust is amazing. Only knock is I'll say the pizza was way too cheesy for my taste, but I also find that's the case with most Pittsburgh pizza outfits. I did my best to carve off the cheese I didn't want and it was fine. Had there been a third less cheese overall, it probably would have been perfect. But I also get that's personal preference. We will definitely be coming back again (and probably requesting light cheese).

Mineos is the king of north hills pizza as far as I'm concerned, even if they don't deliver. I don't even want to hear anything to the contrary. You're just incorrect. I'm from the city, so I'm used to good pizza. The food has been the biggest disappointment for me moving to the north hills. The suburbs are where good restaurants go to die. It's happened time and time again, so I was somewhat guarded when we tried Mineos new location in our backyard. Miraculously you could close your eyes and for a moment convince yourself you were enjoying an exceptional pie in the original pizzeria. I know it's quite expensive, but in a quality pizza desert like this area, I accept the surcharge. The new location's ambiance is very much "sharing a pizza in a nice house" vibes once you walk through the front bar section past the service station. Vaulted ceilings with decorative beams and well considered lighting make way to what is essentially a dining sun room overlooking the surrounding tree line. The pizza is wonderful both dining in and taking out, but I did notice a slightly enhanced crunch to the bottom of the pizza when we ate in. It was a nice touch. The cheese makes this pie for me. It's complex and salty, and they aren't stingy with it. Toppings are under the cheese which somehow enhances the flavor. Why more shops don't do this I will never know. My last visit was my first time trying the fried provolone. Exceptional. Heavy, crispy and flavorful. Dom's Arancini was another first for us. As the menu states, its 4 breaded and fried Arborio rice balls with ham, peas, ground beef and sharp provolone served with marinara for dipping. Wow! You could make a meal of 2 of these items alone. Rich, savory and filling. Even my preschooler liked it. I can't wait to keep going back and trying more things on the side of these first class pies.

We even had to wait for a table to open up on a few occasions, that's how popular they sometimes were on a busy night. Ahhhh, nostalgia. But, no longer. Not only do I never wait in line since they're always dead, I rarely get to go because so many locations have closed over the years. This one on Route 8 has been here as long as I can remember, and although it's not the closest pizza place to home, a special brought me back in. Most pizza places have a thin enough slice that you can fold it NY style, but never Pizza Hut. And now that the Detroit style was back, I thought I'd try it again just for a little variety. It still tastes like the Hut you know, but with the little cup pepperonis (my favorite) and the sauce on top of the cheese (I know, blasphemy). Definitely not for everyone, and I still think the classic pan is best. And I still get flack for saying I like the Hut. Even though it's no longer in its heyday, the the kid in me can't help but return every so often.

Menu items include not only pizzas but also appetizers (e.g., fries, jalapeño poppers, and provolone sticks), salads, hoagies, pepperoni rolls, strombolis, calzones, gyros, wings, etcetera. Prices are reasonable. On a Friday afternoon, I ordered food for delivery. I did not see online ordering, so I placed my order over the phone. An employee immediately answered the phone, and he took my order and credit-card numbers. About 45 minutes later, an employee delivered the foods to me on time. He made pleasant conversation about his fun, gigantic pen that I used to sign the receipt, and he said, "Thank you!" Here are my reviews for the foods: Maisie sticks - 4 stars - The online menu describes these Maisie sticks as "thick soft garlic breadsticks with dipping sauce," but the ones that I received were topped with cheese. Did I receive the wrong breadsticks? Well, they tasted good. Cheddar-steak hoagie - 4.5 stars - This hoagie typically contains steak, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, cheddar cheese sauce, but my husband requested no green peppers. The employee correctly made the hoagie without the green peppers. I saw lots of steak and cheese. As my husband ate the hoagie, he said, "Yeah, I like this thing!" Pizza with broccoli - 4.5 stars - I had requested a small pizza with thin crust, but the crust looked more like regular crust. I had chosen a topping of broccoli, and I thought that the employee used a good amount of fresh broccoli. I enjoyed the flavors of this pizza. Garlic wings - 4 stars - I had ordered wings in a garlic flavor. Perhaps I should have chosen a spicier flavor, because my husband described the garlic as the "plainest ever." These wings were cooked well. On the menu, I saw "Jocey Bites," but I did not ask the restaurant what they are. Does anyone here know what "Jocey Bites" are? Thank you!
