They pack in the ingredients especially the meats, making each sandwich a two hand ordeal but one that I am more than happy to accept. Prices are really good for the monster you can get. I ordered the Italian Assorted, made with genoa salami, capicola ham, and spicy ham topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, and the signature house Italian dressing on a fresh-baked sub roll. The meat-to-bread ratio was spot on and the ingredients tasted crisp and fresh, but it's the roll that's the star of the sandwich. It has that perfect "crusty on the outside, soft on the inside" texture that most sub shops miss and it's dense enough to hold up to the oil and vinegar in the dressing without getting soggy. The "Everything" roll -- topped with everything bagel seasoning -- adds a great savory crunch. It was, by far, one of the best Italian subs I've had in recent memory. My dining companion and her sometimes-pescatarian father both had tuna subs, which they both enjoyed. The service was also a highlight. Despite being busy with the lunch rush, the team was professional, patient, and engaging with us during the ordering process, even when my dining companion asked the obvious question "What's the difference between the 5" sub and the 7" sub?" Once on the premise, you feel like you are immersed in a town village... with the setup of the storefronts, pop-ups throughout, and genuine kindness of all the staff (most of them are family.. how cool!). The Apple cider slushie and apple cider donut are THE BEST in Pittsburgh, but everything is honestly worth a try! With a market, an allergy friendly market, barbecue window, slushie stand, onsite Arsenal Taphouse, Chainsaw Woodcarving, Corn Maze, Flower Picking, Apple Picking, and even more... you will easily spend a whole day... and it's free to enter! We, also, stopped by Arrowhead winery inside to sample their wines: the lady behind the counter was super helpful and knowledgeable about their wines and the wine-making process. Overall, you will find yourself spending more time and money than you expected but you will, also, be planning your next visit. There is a lot to see outside and we did not get a chance to really investigate the outside as there was so much inside.
