Andora is always a safe choice when deciding where to eat, whether it is for lunch or dinner. This time, I went for lunch and ordered the Calamari for the appetizer and the Ahi Tuna for my main dish. The Calamari was warm and crispy and the Thai Chili Sauce pairs perfectly. We even had left over calamari to take home. The Ahi Tuna was cooked perfectly and the wasabi and eel sauce tasted fantastic together. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu and it was phenomenal. It was light and fluffy but full of flavor. The chocolate and caramel sauce, as well as the whipped cream, complemented it well. The service is always fantastic and they are very accommodating. The restaurant is super clean, but some tables can feel very close to others. Overall, we will continue to dine at Andora!!

Andora on Mt. Nebo Road in Sewickley is an absolute find! This charming spot serves up lunch and dinner with a delicious selection of New American entrees, wine, and craft cocktails--all in a stylish, cozy space complete with a fireplace, a spacious bar, and the most magical outdoor patio (think twinkle lights and a fountain... yes, please!). I went for dinner with a friend--such a great girls' night or date night destination! To drink, we enjoyed wine and a strawberry bellini made with fresh strawberry purée and prosecco. Their cocktail menu is perfection. We started with the three-cheese stuffed zucchini ribbons in a sweet red pepper cream sauce, and wow--the best zucchini dish I've ever had. We also shared the jumbo lump crab cake, lightly baked and served with a red onion caper sauce--super fresh and full of flavor. Next, we split the house salad, a refreshing mix of greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, black olives, feta, roasted red peppers, and their homemade Andora dressing (who doesn't love a homemade dressing?!). For our entrees, we tried the braised BBQ short rib--topped with crispy onion straws and served with green beans and garlic mashed potatoes--yum! The Andora Chicken was another standout: tomatoes, artichokes, capers, banana peppers, asparagus, and seven-pepper risotto. It was full of flavor and totally hit the spot. I seriously cannot wait to go back and enjoy dinner on their dreamy patio under the stars. Loved everything about my experience!

A group of us went to Andora based on someone's recommendation. I ordered 2 appetizers as my meal, dynamite shrimp and zucchini ribbons. The dynamite shrimp was described as being crispy with a spicy Asian sauce. The sauce was a mild aioli with about as much Asian character as rural Iowa. The shrimp seemed like they were taken from a bag of frozen breaded shrimp. The zucchini seemed like a good idea in theory, but in practice it was a bland stuffing wrapped in zucchini ribbons (accurate description) with some cheese and a red pepper sauce. The sauce tasted like red bell pepper without much in the way of seasoning. I got 4 wraps, but another order came out with 5. Was I shorted or did they get a bonus? We'll never know, but once I started eating, I wasn't disappointed. Bottom line, the food was forgettable. Why 2 stars instead of 1? The wait staff were great! They were helpful and attentive; they get 5*, but we go out to eat for the food.

Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Dinner with Parmesan Risotto and fresh green beans. This is just what I had left over to take home! Delicious.

The crab cakes are their best known entree and they are delicious but you can go wrong. The Seabass is amazing and prepared perfectly. The risotto and vegetables were as amazing as the entrees

Kids chicken fingers.. tasted as burnt as they look.

Ordered take out, one meal was the horseradish cod, the piece of fish was so small you would have through it came off the kids menu plus it was extremely bland. The stuffed zucchini ribbons looked like they were run over by a car and had a very odd flavor. The kids chicken fingers were so burnt we had to throw them away. My wife did enjoy the spinach salad but a few of the things that were supposed to come on it didn't exist. We have dined in before and it was good, the take out experience was horrible. $130.00 down the drain.

Popular white-table-cloth restaurant in the Sewickley area. 4 couples ate lunch after church one Sunday. Half of us got the crab cake salad, the other half ordered the salmon salad, and the odd man out managed to eat an entire burger and most of his fries. (I helped--they were good!) Staff are friendly and helpful, and prices are reasonable for the food and atmosphere (~$65 for burger, salad, a glass of unobjectionable pinot grigio, and a tip). Free parking lot just for the restaurant.

A beautiful place for outdoor dining! I visited on a weeknight when they had 50% off wine bottles - such a great deal and made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was good, though a little pricey. I do wish they had some more vegetarian options, but I really enjoyed the margherita flatbread and stuffed zucchini appetizer. Service was quick and friendly!

Our waitress performed her job well. Here is what we ate: Crab rangoon nachos - 4 stars - Wonton chips were covered in sweet chili glaze, large chunks of imitation crab meat (which my husband liked), green onion, and black sesame seeds. Apricot bourbon salmon - 4 stars - The salmon was cooked nicely and was juicy and flavorful. For sides, the mixed vegetables had a bit too much oil, and the brussels sprouts could use more flavor. Chicken cordon bleu sandwich - 4 stars - My husband said that the chicken was slightly overfried and hard, but the flavors from the arugula, onions, prosciutto, cheese, and dijonaise were good. He liked the side of crispy fries. The total price was $54 plus tax and tip.

You'll be required to find street parking, with the most convenient options being to pay for a parking space on the street nearby. (There is also free street parking but you may have to drive around a bit to find a open spot) We had a table of 6 dining here around 5pm on a Friday. We met part of our group there, and they were already seated, so I don't believe waiting for a table was an issue (even for a party of 6). Once seated, our waiter was prompt and attentive and we also had who I assume to be a manager check-in with us. So no complaints about service. Our waiter took our drink order, appetizer order, food order and provided refills on drinks promptly/reasonably. All of our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals but my wife had the shrimp fajita and I had the rodeo burger (without BBQ sauce, I just wasn't in the mood for BBQ sauce but all of the other toppings sounded yummy - Gouda cheese, bacon, crispy fried onion, and chipotle aioli). Both are pictured. Overall, I'd recommend going here if you aren't bothered by street parking. The service, atmosphere, and food were solid.

One negative happened *before* we arrived. This special evening was to celebrate the 80th birthday of one of my sisters-in-law. We called to arrange a special dessert plate, etc, in advance, but the young woman who answered instantly told me no and said we could order a dessert and they would put a candle on it. I asked if we could choose a few desserts in advance and have them arranged on a platter with "Happy Birthday" written on it in some way, but again this woman said, "No, we really don't do that." Womp womp. Could've been an easy win. She actually encouraged me to bring an outside dessert and they would put a candle on that. She could've suggested a bottle of champagne or glasses of champagne being delivered to the table in advance, but no. Disappointing to say the least, especially at a restaurant of this caliber. Moving on... When you roll up to this location up a winding road, you get how special/unique Hyeholde is. The Tudor-influence is charming, as is the thoughtful gardening & its romantic evening uplighting. A valet pops out immediately to whisk away your car. (One sis-in-law arrived before they opened & was alarmed at no handicapped parking, but this is clearly why: the valet.) Another negative happened before we entered the restaurant -- the valet informed us that our pretty, small birthday balloon would not be allowed inside. The restaurant door opened as we started toward it - the owner & exec chef (we would learn later) welcoming us. Nice touch. One snag: both my sis-in-laws have some challenges walking/climbing stairs; no one asked the SIL who made her own birthday reservation (at her insistence!) about this. So, the 2 were a bit surprised when told that we would be headed upstairs to dine. While our host seemed somewhat willing to change up our location, there was a handrail up the stairs, so both SIL's opted for the climb. ‍ Our server, Ryan, was great - enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and cheerful throughout. The food: They had just changed to their spring menu, but three of us opted for the creamy mushroom soup, a winter menu holdover. While it was mushroomy and flavorful, I really do prefer my mushroom soup to have a splash of sherry. The artisanal greens with honey pear dressing was fresh and light. We all agreed that the dressing was excellent & the greens crisp & flavorful. (Slight drawback: It's fairly small & very simple; $14 is a bit much for this). The bread plate that came with our appetizers was good. One of my SIL's is a master baker, and she positively sang the praises of the brioche rolls. There's one for each in the party. Drawback: We wanted more and were happy to pay, but Ryan told us that wasn't possible. They only make enough for each person to have one each night. The homemade apple butter was excellent. Star appetizer: Smoked olives (!!!) - it sounds crazy, but all 4 of us could not get enough of these. The Applewood smoked treasures were to die for, especially the massive Cerignola olives. WOAH. The truffle mushroom pasta with chestnut cream was also positively standout. Huge, meaty mushrooms were slathered in a rich, flavorful cream with what seemed like campanelle-type pasta - YUM! Ryan recommended the tuna crudo app/small plate - but we just didn't have room. Next time... Main courses: birthday girl & I ordered the seafood tagliatelle which was excellent. The seafood - a blend of shrimp & scallops - was nestled in a saffron beurre blanc with a hugely flavorful blend of fennel, sun-dried tomatoes, & yummy black garlic. Hubs & other SIL got the Delmonico. Neither would recommend it. It was cooked perfectly but was a bit salty, not terribly juicy, and at ***$75**** - I can confidently say (after tasting a piece) that it was not worth it. The bordelaise sauce was nice, but the multi-layered mille-feuille potato creation - while definitely impressive - was too salty, according to the SIL who ordered it. Wine - we brought our own (bday girl had been saving 2 v special bottles) & paid their $40 corkage fee. Dessert time! Birthday SIL got the Ryan-recommended NY Cheesecake (his fave). First - this isn't NY cheesecake! BUT - it is quite good -- creamy, flavorful with a nice, thin, crunchy Graham cracker crust, and a spoonful of succulent preserved cherries. Ryan even magically stuck a little candle to the plate for our celebration. The standout fave, though, was the special carrot cake -- a creative version with a yummy, coconutty/pineapply ice cream colored with carrot juice and garnished with a crunchy, thin sliver of dried parsnip and carrot. Really good! My other SIL got the passionfruit pavlova and thought it was good (I don't do meringue - so I didn't try it).
