We had such a wonderful experience here! The outdoor seating is beautiful out front and in the back, and perfect for enjoying a nice evening. We sat outside and brought our small family dog with us. The waitress even brought him water. Our server was so polite, attentive, and genuinely kind, it really made the whole experience even better. The wine selection was impressive, with plenty of options to pair perfectly with our meals. Speaking of meals, they came out quickly, were beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The plate was hot for hot food which made a difference All around, this place checks every box! A great atmosphere, excellent service, and amazing food and wine. They also had yummy cocktails on their menu. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

My fiancé and I went to Luma for Pittsburgh Restaurant Week. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was modern, but cozy, and the server was very friendly. The owner came and greeted us and thanked us for coming. You will enjoy this restaurant!

This review gets five stars from me solely on the merit of the sticky toffee pudding. It is incredible. I am tearing up and salivating as I write this reminiscing on the perfection that was that sticky toffee pudding. I went back a few days later to get more of it. It is that good. There is no hyperbole or exaggeration. Came here with Noted DC Yelp Elite member Daniel R., and we were so excited to see each other and share a meal. We got some appetizers: zucchini straws and calamari. There were pretty good. I got the Panko stacked chicken for my entree and was happy with the portion size and flavor. The appetizers and entrees were good, but not life changing. Unlike the sticky toffee pudding. My life began the day I tried this. The ambiance was intimate and cozy, and the service was wonderful. Our waiter remembered me and laughed when I came back for more. Come here. Try the sticky toffee pudding. See the light. Thank me later.

I was excited to try the restaurant with my friend Claudia, a famous Pittsburgh Yelp Elite Squad member! We had a very nice time and would recommend this restaurant. We started with some very tasty bread with Parmesan olive oil. It was a great kickoff to the meal. Following that, we shared calamari and zucchini sticks. Both appetizers came with delicious sauces, but I wished that the appetizers came out a bit hotter and crispier. The Panko stacked chicken was the winning entree, served on a bed of delicious couscous. The jumbo shrimp special, sadly, was a letdown. The shrimp were regular sized, and the three shrimp in total cost $36. I was disappointed on that one for sure. Luckily, the desserts ended the meal on a very high note. The raspberry sorbet was tasty, but the sticky toffee pudding was OUT OF THIS WORLD. It belongs on the best desserts list in Pittsburgh without a doubt. You may even want to order two. The service is very friendly, although food does take a long time to come out. The restaurant is also very cute with a covered indoor-ish patio. If you're looking for a cute Pittsburgh restaurant, this is a great choice!

Dinner here was such a treat! We (party of 2) arrived at 6:30pm on a Friday and were seated immediately with no wait. It did get crowded throughout the evening, so I would recommend making a reservation if you're able. Our server was incredibly friendly and found the balance between making us feel cared for, and giving us time to enjoy our meal. The wine/drinks list was expansive, and our server had great suggestions for mocktails as well. Dinner itself was filling and reasonably priced for the quality. While the Spicy Tiger Shrimp pasta left a little to be desired flavor-wise, it was still delicious. We found lots of options that sounded great on the menu, and need to return soon to try some more! Leave room for dessert; we were too full and it was painful to pass up all the wonderful sounding options.

"Medium" filet... that was very well done :(

My best friend and I thought we would treat ourselves to a nice night out tonight. First, the service was EXTREMELY slow. Our server apologized to us multiple times about him being so busy but it did not appear there were many patrons in the restaurant. We sat outside so it kind of seemed like he just kept forgetting about us. He checked on us 3 times total in a 2 hour and 15 minute time span. My friend even went inside to ask him for the checks after he came to our table and said "will that be all today?" And we said yes... 20 minutes later, he never came back so she went inside to find him. Secondly... (this is the bigger issue)... our entrees were not good. Our server told us our food was "being plated" 30 minutes after we ordered. 20 minutes later our food showed up. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu (the filet). I ordered my filet medium. It came out well done and tough. I notified the waiter when he checked on us 20 minutes after presenting our food and told him it was well done and completely tough and he sent "apologies from the kitchen". My friend's tuna was hard and not easy to eat either. She barely ate any of her food and didn't take it to go because it was that bad. We told our server we were very displeased. We still ordered dessert because we wanted something sweet. The cake was very good. I'm not sure what happened but nothing was done with our meal. No one came out to talk to us, which is poor management for a fine dining restaurant, and they took the cake off our bills which ended up being a whopping $4.50 total on each of our bills. I'm conclusion...I liked the cake. The filet was awful and I didn't even get offered a new one. We won't be back again unless something is made right. We are very disappointed.

Very intimate ambiance. Limited menu but we liked everything we got. The service was very good. I wouldn't bring my kids here though.

From the moment we stepped inside - my brother warned me that this spot is usually understaffed - so we may need to wait a little for a table. No worries. We got comfortable at their low seated waiting couches. I personally could have easily stayed there for the whole duration - and I think my nieces could have as well. We brought out some of their art supplies and they quickly began their masterpieces. About 15-20 minutes later - a staff member said our table was ready. We made our way over to our hightop table - which conveniently also had an elevated booth set-up. It was a nice set-up for young kids, especially ones intent on finishing homemade cards. The Yard even had some crayons and playful coloring placemats for kids to draw on. Score! My brother placed an order for some pretzel sticks, some orders of tomato soup and some grilled cheeses. My nieces had huge grins on their faces as they imagined their upcoming meals. After about 25 minutes or so after our order was taken, - the pretzels came out. They looked and smelled fantastic. They were great for holding over my nieces' growing appetites. My nieces enjoyed them thoroughly. That's when things stalled. We waited for over an hour with no additional food coming out. I noticed that there was another family beside our table with a young baby - that had also been waiting a long time. I could see the concerned looks on their faces - as their table grew restless and hungry. You could tell that they were eager to eat, go home and put their baby to bed. My nieces began to to get antsy and began to whine about how hungry they were. My brother said that we would wait about 15 minutes more and if we had no update or food - we'd ask about the status of it. And so we waited. No one came over to us - so I went to the bar - and asked about the status of the food - explaining that we had three younger children with us, that were beginning to get hangry. The bartender said that one of their chefs had gone home sick earlier in the day - and that they were short-staffed in the kitchen. She said that she would check on our order and let us know its status. She never came back over to us. We waited for about 20 minutes longer. Nobody came over. I totally understand how things can get busy, how places can be understaffed, and that things come up - but I think that The Yard could have handled the situation more proactively. They should have let us know from the very beginning that they were understaffed and that there would be a wait for food. We likely would have gone elsewhere. Since my nieces had to be back home promptly for bed - we ended up paying for the pretzels and my nieces' drinks - and left. My brother explained the situation to their staff before we departed. From my time here - I believe The Yard would be a solid spot for a family friendly meal - but only when they're well staffed. If you come here hungry - I'd recommend confirming with the staff - before you are seated - how long the estimated wait for your table and your food may be. Trust.

This visit to a Primanti's would be our second since living in Pittsburgh over twenty years. The Mt. Lebanon location is easy to find on Washington Rd./Rt. 19 across from the Galleria mall, next to Dunkin. The bar area is bright, and well stocked. The rest of the restaurant casual, and relaxing. The menu is pretty large and offers more than sandwiches to keep everyone happy. I ordered The Original PB Reuben. The light marble rye was soft, and fresh, not overly sour. The pile of corned beef was lean, and very mild flavored. The Cole slaw and fries were piled on and barely fit between the bread. The overall flavor of the Original PB Reuben was good, nothing really distinctly standing out. Our server was friendly and took care of our table and kept everything in order. Our group stopped in around lunch time and the restaurant had a good size crowd but wasn't packed. I'm not the biggest fan of sandwiches, but a stop into Primanti's, especially with people from out of town is a nice way to share a taste of Pittsburgh with them.
