My husband and I came here on a Tuesday evening to celebrate our anniversary and had the entire place to ourselves. From the moment we walked in, Daniel and Nina took such attentive, personalized care of us. They truly made the evening feel special. Nina made me a watermelon mule with fresh watermelon purée, and it was hands down the best Moscow mule I've ever had. Daniel smoked my husband's bourbon cocktails, which he absolutely loved. Chef Devin created an incredible meal from start to finish. The entire experience was five-star, and honestly, it was the best dining experience my husband and I have ever had--and we consider ourselves foodies. The atmosphere is unlike anywhere else. The aviation theme is such a fun touch, and the Edison bulbs, soft lighting, and beautifully restored historic home create a warm, intimate ambiance. Even the bathrooms were spotless and thoughtfully decorated (which I always appreciate!). The food was outstanding. We were welcomed with an incredible amuse-bouche wonton along with warm bread and dipping oil. We started with the Wagyu tacos, which were phenomenal, then split a Caesar salad that was fresh and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, I ordered the prosciutto-wrapped chicken, which was incredibly flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked. My husband had the bone-in ribeye, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The purple potato purée was the perfect complement. I paired my dinner with their red blend, which was delicious. To finish, we shared the tiramisu, complete with a candle for our anniversary, and toasted the evening with refreshing espresso martinis. I truly can't say enough good things about Latitude 48. Latitude 48 restaurant, named after its approximate coordinates, is described as "fine dining" on its website, but in my experience, it actually serves upscale foods in a casual atmosphere with above-average pricing. It serves farm-to-table foods, particularly exotic meats such as alligator, bison, boar, duck, elk, goat, and wagyu. Other menu items include more common meats such as chicken and seafoods such as trout and lobster tail. It also has a full bar serving wines, beers, and spirits. My husband and I ate one dinner here. We wore jeans with nicer shirts. The seating hostess and the waiter performed their jobs well. Our waiter brought an amuse-bouche of reuben egg rolls (5 stars), which were crispy and tangy and we really enjoyed, as well as focaccia bread (4 stars), which tasted good but could have been warmer. For my appetizer, I ordered the Wagyu Tacos (4.5 stars), corn tortillas filled with Japanese A5 Wagyu, cilantro-lime crema, tomato relish, and chipotle puree in a corn tortilla. These tacos were messy to eat but tasted very good. My husband ordered the Corn Fritters (4 stars) with cilantro-lime crema and tomato jam. My main course was the Bison Filet Mignon (4 stars), which I ordered mid-rare but could have been juicier. It came with sides of corn relish, asparagus, and purple-potato puree that could have been creamier. My husband's main course was the Prosciutto-wrapped Chicken Breast (3.5 stars), which my husband ate and said was alright. He particularly liked the flavorful peppers. His other sides were wild rice and zucchini. For dessert, I followed the waiter's recommendation for the Tiramisu (4.5 stars), which was moist and had a good balance between the coffee and sweet flavors. You would never know this restaurant existed, tucked off of Rt 88, in Finleyville. Quite deceiving from road and outside, very small and beautiful inside. Cozy interior, and staff was amazing. Reservations are a must for lovely experience. I forgot to take pictures until main dishes were served. I thourougly enjoyed the Caesar salad as did my boyfriend, bread and I ordered the mushroom cavatelli which also was a large serving. Homemade pasta. Chef Robinson has a deft hand at creating the perfect bites of food. The staff was friendly and attentive. Just genuinely nice people. I've been to a lot of fine dining restaurants in my day but Latitude 48 is my now favorite! It's not stuffy and pretentious. It was cozy and accessible. I was made to feel welcome and appreciated. I did not know of this place until a friend gave me a gift card! Reserved a late night table with the honey after work and proceeded to order the Elk for the protein and the pappardelle pasta as the carb. Bread basket: We requested toasted bread and they quickly accommodated with a light and crunchy sliced bread that was a perfect start with the creamy butter spread. Elk: The Elk came out exactly as ordered at medium temp and throughout the cut piece it was a consistent medium red color showing the evenly cooked nature. Coupled with the starch variety of varied potatoes and sauce, everything matched up well. A subtle bit of peppercorn on the edges and surprising not salty as I normally expected. Many steaks I order tend to be overly salty at some point on the ends but I did not experience this at all! Pasta: Pappardelle arrived between al dente' and soft with cooked capers and tomatoes. The sauce I felt could have used a good dash of garlic but still nice and slippery. It was a little harder to eat since the pasta was not cut down to smaller strips but not a big issue. Recommend. Dessert: In house made by the GM Mark, the cinnamon and raison bread pudding and the bourbon dulce de leche cream sealed the deal! Service: Mark and everyone provided great service and very enjoyable experience. They just opened about six months or so and especially during these difficult times, seem to get a decent following. My husband and I were here to celebrate our 14th first date anniversary, and the experience and food were incredible! I'd never been to a restaurant where they serve you a small scoop of sorbet to cleanse your palette before your main course before! My husband and I had a phenomenal lunch today! We started off with delicious cocktails and ordered the Grilled Whole Wings appetizer. While waiting for the app, the chef brought out a "complimentary treat from the kitchen" of meatballs for us to enjoy while we waited. They were fantastic! The wings were also very good, cooked perfectly and great flavor. For entrees- he had the Mixed Grind Burger and I had the Truffle Mushroom Pasta. Both were 5/5! One of the best meals we've ever had. I was extremely disapointed to learn that Latitude 48's owners have let Chef Alex Fitz and Manager Lisa go. Alex and Lisa could not have done a more fantastic , professional job there creating an incredible atmosphere of high end culinary delights. We always feel like royalty when we would visit, which has been well over two dozen times. I have commented to many friends that the food is so good that it's "knee weakening," especially entrees with scallops. In my humble opinion, this was a very short-sighted move. Lamb lollipops were cooked to recommendation and were out of this world. Pheasant dumpling soup was good, perfect amount of flavor and not too thick. Protiens either way over cooked or way undercooked. Our scallops were under the broiler at least 2 minutes too long and the lamb chops were at best 100* in the center when ordered medium rare. This place is such a let down. The service at the bar was good. Wine list is not good and that's being kind. I am not going back. So happy this place reopened! I was here 3 times previously and the food has always been phenomenal, but I will say the new chef and staff are absolutely amazing! I met two of my friends here for dinner on a weeknight and were greeted as soon as we walked in. The server (I forget her name!!) was very pleasant and helped us with our drink choices. I asked if they had espresso martinis and she said no problem she could make it. Literally the best espresso martini! We split the crab prawns and lamb lollipops for our appetizers. My one friend is gluten and dairy free and the chef was very accommodating. He came to our table and went over the food we were considering and explained how he could make it gluten or dairy free for her. They even brought out gf bread and an oil dip for my friend while myself and other friend had the rolls and whipped butter. For our entrees we had the horseradish encrusted salmon, sea bass, and elk chops. They were all perfectly cooked and nice large portions. The chef came out and let us know all of the desserts he had that were GF and DF. We had the pistachio tiramisu and flourless chocolate cake. A must try!! Wow!! Amazing food and service!! And we will go again soon. This restaurant just opened recently but feels like such a professional fine tuned atmosphere. None of the typical new restaurant mishaps. We met one of the owners and he was so nice, even sent over a complimentary new cocktail the mixologist was working on. The wait staff was helpful in making dinner selections, they have a wyagu steak on the menu for $149 I believe. We went with crabcake dinner for me (which was the biggest crab cake I have ever seen). My husband got the veal chop and he said it was delicious. A few drinks for us and appetizers were lamb lollipops and scallops. All of our food was just incredible. The seafood risotto is unbelievable and I would suggest as a side dish. We went on a Saturday night and had a reservation which I would recommend for sure. This restaurant is located in Finleyville which is kind of off the beaten path. For us it was a 50 minute drive but well worth it. We will be back! read more

When making note to owner about servers masks not fitting properly, and hence them being fully exposed while standing right over us, the owner replied " well, we will see what happens with that after the election." With a menu that runs about 100 / person, owners should be more aware of customer concerns. This restaurant may get the first time curious customer, but a business runs on return customers. My review is mixed because of a bad experience last night. Hopefully, you won't have the same thing happen to you. This place has only been open a short while and this was my second time. The building was recently reinvented from a dive bar to a cute, trendy, upscale restaurant. It is small with only maybe a dozen tables. So, reservations are strongly encouraged. The service from the bread basket to sorbet between courses to the warm lavender towel at the end of the meal was spectacular. It is definitely perfect for a date night or special celebration and worth the trip for out of towners. With a menu including elk and a three bone veal chop, you will be impressed. Here's my problem, and why the 3 stars this time. Last night there was a party of 8 who were completely obnoxiously rude. They were so loud that it was near impossible to have a conversation with the person sitting right next to me. Their noise level and inappropriateness warranted mention by both our waitress and a manager who asked if we were "okay" with the distraction. We explained that we really weren't but they did nothing about the unruly guests. If they wanted to act like that they should have gone to someone's house or rented out the place as a private party. I would have expected management to ask them to leave. We ended up leaving as they were doing shots at the bar and playing loud music. Agree with most of the 3 star reviews. As a party of 4 we visited for the first time. As everyone had said the food, while pricey, it is excellent. However, with that price you expect a certain atmosphere that is definitely not present. I would describe this as fine dining with a bar atmosphere. With a COVID 50% occupancy, it was very loud and difficult to hear, can't imagine what it will be when we are back to normal. But my reason for the 3 stars.. The price of the wine list. There is no excuse to charge 3 to 4 times the retail price for a bottle of wine. For that reason alone we won't be back. read more

Overall, all of the appetizers and entrees were very good; however, they were not worth the cost. The prices are extremely inflated. When you go to a restaurant with high prices you expect exceptional service, that was not what we experienced. We had to continuously ask for refills on our water and drinks as the server was not paying attention. The server also didn't have enough knowledge about the items on the menu. Last night was the second time we visited this place and we only did so because our friends wanted to try it. The first time I called to make a reservation for the next day and was basically laughed at. So we then made reservations for the week after and when we went the restaurant was barely half full. The food was good but nothing outstanding considering the prices. For our second visit last night we were running late so I called the restaurant to notify we were going to be 15 minutes late and got an attitude on the phone. My boyfriend and our friends all ordered the most expensive meat on the menu. All entrées come with two sides of your choice. I really wanted to try the pasta but also wanted the sea bass . I asked the waitress if it was possible to have the Seabass with a side of their so called "homemade" pasta. She said she'd have to check and when she came back she said : so you want the Seabass and just a little bit of the pasta and that's it! that's your side dish! And she made a hand movement to basically show me that's all you're getting. Extremely rude we were all taken aback. When the food came it was a piece of Seabass and a small bowl of plain dry pasta with a piece of butter on top ... they didn't even put the sauce on. Really!!?? You really thought I wanted to spend $46 on a piece of fish and receive plain dry pasta with butter as my side dish?? We spent about $600 on this meal! My friends enjoyed their dinner otherwise but when you spend $180 on a steak that is the least to be expected. with a service that is unprecedentedly terrible I have no doubt this place will not last. The wine list is very nice and offers a wide variety to choose from. We have tried the Brussels sprouts, crab, lamb lollipops, sea scallops, antelope and greens and beans soup. Everything is amazing.
