The Thai shrimp salad had good flavor, but it only came with four pieces of shrimp, which felt a little light for being a shrimp salad . The Porch is refined elegance but in comfortable location. Tucked on the back end of the plaza, The Porch just looks elegant from the outside. We went in the winter, but it looks like the front porch would be amazing... but that makes sense at THE PORCH. The decor is elegant enough for a nice date night and the food is phenomenal. We had brunch but like... CMON MAN... everything sounded so good. We went with the Seasonal Quiche and Seasonal Breakfast Sandwich. Both delightful and full of great flavor. But honestly I'd go here for just the coffee and buttermilk biscuits alone. The coffee was really good, like really good. The buttermilk biscuits were crispy on the outside and soft, buttery on the inside. Plus they are served with honey butter, apple butter, and a seasonal jam. The service was next level too. A group of three of us went to The Porch for lunch, and we really enjoyed our experience. It was a beautiful 75 degree day, so we sat at a table on "the porch." It was a mix of indoor/outdoor dining. When you arrive for lunch, you place your order at the counter, then take your assigned number and find a table you like. The staff bring the drinks and food to your table. They have a bar as well as had three zero proof mocktails. One was a blueberry lavender club soda drink. We asked them to replace club soda with lemonade, and it was delicious!! For our meals, we had the daily special grilled ham and cheese with bacon and truffle oil with a side of salad. It was tasty. We also had the Chopped Salad and Crispy Taters. The taters are not tots. They are small roasted potatoes that come with a spicy ketchup. Lastly, we had the refreshing strawberry goat cheese salad with grilled chicken. Enamored with this place. It's the sister spot of the Schenley location. I had business in the South Hills so I made my way to this place, Porch at Siena. Love me some eggs benedict so guess what I got? Eggs benedict! lol. This was quite the feat of chefdom. Twas a crazy mash up of pulled pork, poached egg (as is standard) and some awesome small, dippable potatoes (ketchup) on the side. Look at the pic, best way to describe it. Service was attentive and friendly. Lots of coffee refills as is standard in a good brunch. What else.... busy and I sat at the bar. Again, super ambitious dish and while chef didn't hit the longest home run... they tried and still hit the home run. Check this place out. read more

Had a great experience at the Porch recently. It was my first time and will definitely be going back. Loved the setup of the place, perfect for a brunch or lunch. It would be a great spot to eat outdoors during the warmer months. My table had the cheesy bread appetizer, which was really good. For my meal I had the porch truffle burger, which came topped with carmelized onions, a bacon marmalade, and truffle aioli. I did not expect this burger to be as good as it was. It was phenomenal, one of the better burgers I've had in Pittsburgh. The meat was super flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The toppings were a perfect balance and everything was held together on a good brioche bun. They also had really good fries and house made ranch. The only con to the place is having to get order your own food and drinks at the front. Kind of takes away from the eating experience. But everything is so good that it's not enough to take it down a star. read more

Such a cute place to eat. The decor is adorable. They have glass with pressed flowers above the benches that I absolutely adored. I ordered the Grilled Cheese with the Fresh Tomato Basil Soup. I like that there is an option to make everything Gluten Free which is nice for me and my boyfriend who can't eat Gluten. He got the Porch Burger with no bun and it was pretty good. It was a big burger and very flavorful. The waitress was super nice and friendly and was very attentive. The food did take a little while to get to us but they were pretty busy. There were a lot of different drink options I wanted to try but wasn't in the mood for alcohol today so I do look forward to trying this another day. read more

First time at The Porch and I came right at the lunch rush on a Sunday, but the crowd didn't phase the staff at all. I was seated within five minutes and still was given the option of indoor/outdoor and high-top/regular. My phone rang almost as soon as I was seated so I was obnoxiously on my phone, but my server, Julie, expertly dropped off water and came back when she saw me off the phone. Beyond that, I asked if they had flavored lemonade... they do not have flavored lemonade. But because I asked, Julie found a way to make it happen. I ended up with a peach lemonade that I would highly recommend (if they did in fact have flavored lemonade). I ordered the Bianca pizza which has figs, arugula, truffle oil, and goat cheese. I appreciate that they plate the pizza with Parmesan and crushed red peppers on the side so you don't even have to ask. I finished mine off with a little salt to heighten the flavors a bit, but that to me is more personal taste preference because the flavors were there and they were fresh and delicious. It's a good sized pizza. I only finished half so this would be great to share. And the mind blowing part to me was that I walked away with an under $20 bill! Chicagolandian here, so maybe it's just an area thing, but this exact same meal around Chicago would've been at least $35 before the tip. read more

I just hosted my niece's bridal shower at the Porch in Upper St. Claire. It was beautiful! I had a LOT of special requests and they accommodated every last one of them. Chris (the GM) had to deal with a lot of little out of the ordinary things I requested and everything was obliged. We had a brunch and the food was excellent. I'm from S. Jersey and had never been to the Porch before so I was taking a huge chance that everything was going to be as I wanted it - and it WAS. Accolades all around. Everyone loved the food and the added "accessories" I had in keeping with my theme for the shower (she's a nurse). We arrived at 8pm on 7/4 knowing it closes at 9pm on its website and on Google. Upon arrival the doors are locked. People were still dining on the patio and in the booths. We go onto the patio and an older gentleman runs out and shouts for the whole patio to turn and look ,'We are closed!!!' We stated the closing time for 7/4 is 9, right?'. Service was slow, especially considering they weren't busy, food was mediocre- the margherita pizza was just a cheese pizza - no fresh mozzarella, tomatoes or basil. The cocktails were watered down. My husband and I had dinner with friends here recently and it was our first time. We all shared the focaccia and wings -- the focaccia was so good, I'll order it every time from here on out. Our server was super attentive and communicated all of the available specials for the night. I will note that substitutions for sides weren't allowed, which made my husband change his mind for his order. He loved his pizza and the rest of us had grilled salmon salads -- they were amazing and I would order one again. There were tons of toppings and the in-house dressing really complimented them all. Valentine's day weekend we were met with unfavorable weather conditions which led us to canceling our reservations elsewhere and making a stop at The Porch, as it's fairly close to home. What a delightful surprise, as we had an absolute blast here and enjoyed really great cocktails and food. Very good food and service from our very pleasant waiter. However, ambience ruined by an employee who was comfortably planted at the end of the bar. His limited use of the English language revolved around every other word "f..k" being creatively used to berate his presumed girlfriend sitting next to him and the staff after she finally had enough and walked out. Not long after, he also comfortably exited through the kitchen doors. It was apparent that he was very familiar with the staff. Overall good food and service. Tried this for the first time and would compare it closely with Juniper Grill in McMurray and Over the Rails in USC. An interesting but somewhat limited menu. Basically they cover different types of foods (Italian, Asian, etc.) with one of each type, plus several burger and individual (9 inch) pizza options plus a few salads. We had the sausage bolognase and Swedish meatballs (on special) respectively. Both were fine, quite filling, but slightly lacking in flavor profile. For example the sausage dish was listed as spicy but I didn't quite get that from it. Enjoyed the drink menu which included some interesting beers, wines, margaritas, spirits, etc. The dessert menu looked good too. Service was just ok but a new employee was being trained so giving a pass on that. Prices were in line with expectations and they have some happy hour deals on apps and drinks. Overall a good experience but feel there's potential for more here and will try it again down the road. read more

Such a perfect place for a quick dinner with friends. Stopped here for dinner after shopping. We were looking for something light and fresh and this spot hit the nail on the head.
