Shady Business. Ordered pizzas from here last week. Apparently they have an answering service that takes the orders for them at times. You are not made aware of that. When I arrived for my pizzas order was wrong. Woman at front counter forced my 16 yr old son to pay for them evn though he explained that wasn't the right order. She kept showing him the receipt and said "This is what you ordered. This is what you ordered. Take the pizzas". I called for the past week trying to get a hold of owner George who was supposed to take care of our problem. First time to Nick's pizza. We placed an order for picked. Large Hawaiian pizza, Buffalo cheese curds, and pepperoni rolls. The order was ready a few minutes early and come out ready to eat. Bad quality, bad customer service, no accountability for dirty/contaminated/stale food/virus or bacteria infested food. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch XL. When I arrived for pickup, they were just making my pizza when I arrived. If you want a waste of time, money, and the contents of your biles to be exited from your stomach, go to Nicks Pizza. I attempted to eat this dirty contaminated virus or bacteria infested food three times, every time almost like clockwork it came out the other end. The pizza seemed a little undercooked when I started to eat it. The shop had flies flying around, and the kitchen looked absolutely filthy from the front counter. The cook had filth all over him. They said they only cooked the pizza for 10 minutes, to come back in 10. I called back explaining the situation to them, and they blame me for getting sick after eating their pizza. I asked the manager if I could speak to the owner, she said he wasn't available. I asked to give them another chance by offering a pizza either a cost or half off, to my surprise, they said no. They don't stand behind anything, including their food and customers. Skip this place, it's lost everything that made it what it was before Nick and Tom sold it. read more

Best pizza in Pittsburgh, and they have an original gem that is a first for me, the Doughboy. Basically a pizza/taco/panini, they tasted great. We had the Deluxe Steak pizza and Italian Doughboy and Philly steak Doughboy. All home runs and will definitely get again. Pete was very helpful and brought out the food very fast and hot. Ordered Earl's Sausage Pizza to support the #greatamericantakeout What a find! The pizza was really good. This was delivered to me and came piping hot . Crust - passed the stand test. The crust had a slight chew which I really like Sauce - neither acidic or sweet. They advertise that this particular pie offers a spicy version. I could not tell but it was very good. A great partner to the toppings. Toppings - lotsa cheese and sausage was awesome. The peppers rings added the final compliment. A really good pie - I will order again. Pizzas was quite good when it arrived, two hours after we ordered them. I get it - Friday evenings are busy. We expected a wait. The Slice app predicted a one hour wait but our pizzas ended up being delivered a full two hours after we ordered them. Would not recommend this place, at least not on a Friday. read more

Decided to try Nick's because a friend suggested and we could not get thru to either of our favorite places on the phon. So many people doing take out or delivery on a Friday night. It is easy to order online. Really nice to be able to order online, wish more pizza shops did this! We arrive at the time the pizza was to be ready and they said five more minutes and they would bring it to the car. Sure enough in 5 minutes the pizza was delivered. I've never had cauliflower crust that tasted so yummy before. Hubby couldn't even really tell it was cauliflower. That's saying a lot, as he hates cauliflower. Oh and the regular crust pizza is good too. Hubs also likes the wings. read more

The menu online features a picture of a pizza cooked in real pizza oven. Nope not a true story. They use a conveyor belt oven, so the pizza is either burned to a crisp or soggy. Mine arrived soggy. PSHhhh I'm not a fan of those nasty, fake ovens. Those ovens are cheap and the food cooked in them is disgusting. Pizza places that use them should include a warning on their menus so folks like me don't get ripped off & duped by their false advertising. I'll pass on Nicks conveyor belt soggy pizza. It's nasty. Blech. I want a refund & to not be insulted by businesses who take short cuts as mediocrity is what they stand on. I can't support a business that doesn't take pride in how their food tastes & looks. It was the first time ordering from Nick's. I like it when you can order and pay directly on yelp, which was available for Nick's. The typical pizza, wings, and salad selections were available. I got a 6 sliced pizza with large slices. The pizza crust was softer and a big hit! The buffalo chicken on the salad was plentiful with fresh salad ingredients. The delivery was on time and friendly. Decided to branch out and try other pizzerias in the area, esp those that deliver. We just tried a plain pizza (my daughters standard) and a calzone. The calzone was really outstanding. The dough was heavily seasoned and the interior was loaded with filling, not as much cheese. Only request would be a little more sauce accompaniment. Will definitely order again. read more

Terrible service and very disrespectful. I ordered a delivery through Slice. I chose contactless delivery because I was on a zoom conference and wouldn't be able to answer the door. So an hour after ordering I check the app and it says any minute it should be delivered. 20 minutes later, still no delivery so I contact customer service and they reach out to the restaurant. The delivery person says they dropped it off but they described the wrong house. I told the restaurant this and they begin to tell me that I'm wrong and they won't give a refund or redeliver the pizza. I wasn't even upset until they started to take that approach. Manager wouldn't even speak to me on the phone and instead told me to hang up because they had "wasted too much time talking to me". Spent $36.80 on soggy Conveyor belt Pizza and 6 breaded wing dings that they advertise online as 12 jumbo whole wings. What a joke. The wings also come breaded and the breading sucks up all the sauce. Also this was advertised online as a $31 deal. I even picked it up myself and still don't know where the extra four dollars comes in as I was charged an additional dollar for the pepperoni on the conveyor belt Pizza also each slice only has one piece of pepperoni per slice. Went there for the first time last night. Dined in as we don't like take out or delivery. Just a few tables but more than adequate for the two of us. Super busy Friday night. Phone ringing off the hook but Ava never missed a beat. Answered every call, waited on walk ins and ran for food-always with a smile. I've lived in the area for for 30 years and Nick's was always a go to when I was growing up. It fell off a bit, but with them reopening I thought I'd give them another go. I have to say, I'm glad Nick's is back to its 90's glory. Easy online ordering and a very friendly staff made picking up the pizza 20 minutes after ordering a breeze. We ordered from here because our usual choice stopped delivering. Am I glad we did!!!!! It was excellent!!!!! We ordered a whole veggie hoagie that was so stuffed with veggies and cheese!!! It made the other place's hoagies look like 2 saltines with a lettuce leaf between them!!!! The buffalo chicken salad was sooooo wonderful!!!! The chicken wasn't breaded ( which I was over the moon happy about!) and there was enough sauce on the chicken and the perfect amount of cheese and veggies. Established way back in 1979, Nick's has certainly been a permanent part of Mount Lebanon's dining landscape, and is likely the preferred purveyor of pizza for area residents. An appropriate analogy would be Brookline's Fiori's or Dormont's Campiti's. Recently, Kay and I decided to sit down and try Nick's pie for ourselves after traveling past it a dozen times while running errands. An oddity among its competitors, a Nick's crust is somewhat thin like you'd find in a Big Apple sidewalk special. A crisp exterior hides a somewhat plush interior. A fruity sauce, a freshly-grated mozzarella/provolone (?) blend, fatty bacon bits, and savory black olives finished off what was a tidy, tasty platter of goodness. The Meatball hoagie fell a tad short with its somewhat dry meatballs, the fine sauce and cheese salvaging the sandwich. The white-walled interiors are as sparse as the seating, but don't allow that to keep you away. Nick's is quietly serving up some quality pizzas in a modest storefont in a sleepy suburb. Old-times feel, but they have awesome hoagies, great pizza, and very good italian food. They do deliver, and pretty much anything on the menu is able to be ordered for delivery. The drinks are by the can or by the 2-liter. In-store, you place the order and they'll either hand it to you at the counter or bring it out to you. There is very limited seating. I've driven by this place many times. I've heard friends say it was ok. I decided to give it a chance. It was one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. First of all, the pie had almost no real flavor. The dough, sauce, cheese...even the pepperoni was bland. I put some hot sauce on it strictly to add flavor. On top of it, I got so sick. Who knew a small pizza could cause so much internal chaos. My stomach was in knots for hours. It gave me terrible gas, but then the E. coli like symptoms had me doubling over. I have had better pizza at Little Caesars. In a competitive pizza city like this one, I will never try this place again. When you have Fiori's, Betos, Mineos, Slice on Broadway...there's no reason to subject yourself to this. read more
