I was SO blown away by this place. I'm not sure why I didn't expect anything crazy but I was pleasantly surprised. We came early, around 5pm on a Friday, and we sat at the bar. There were 3 of us and we had plenty of room. I got the banana old fashioned which was delicious made with house made banana bourbon. I also got a filthyyyy martini which lived up to the name. The bread was yummy and the house salad was to die for. I got the carbonara pasta which was flavorful and silky.

Nice atmosphere with a few tables and bar on first floor and more dining on second floor. Service was good. Some nice wines on the wine list. We received some warm bread with a garlicky dip. The Tortellini Pesto Alfredo with Shrimp was very good. The pasta was cooked perfectly.

This place really surprised me! I wasn't expecting it to be so upscale being in Carnegie, but here we are. I met a few coworkers for dinner and we all really liked it. The service was great and the food was delicious. They had a nice fall menu for drinks so I went with the caramel apple sangria. It was so refreshing and tasty. For my entree I went with the meat ravioli and was not disappointed. You could tell that everything was freshly made. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

I took the little ones here for a really nice dinner treat after camp one day. Most of the diners were on a date with significant others so we were the odd ones. The service was really speedy and efficient. And the food was quite delicious. The restaurant has a lot of crosses and Christian symbolism. If you're in the mood for a meal sparing no details, check it out.

So badly wanted to love DrBlaze, after years of passing by and following them on social media. Unfortunately, our girls night out wasn't as I had hoped it would've been. We really struggled with our server. She was very pleasant, but she brought out the wrong thing at least twice and charged one of our cards the wrong bill. My friend ordered the $42 espresso crusted pork chop and it came out so overdone that it was inedible. Once we notified the staff, they quickly prioritized getting her a different dish of her choosing. The good: the space is beautiful. They have plenty of space to host larger parties, they have both indoor and outdoor seating, and a quaint bar. The happy hour prices from 4-6 of 1/2 price wine glasses and draft beers is a good deal. We loved the chicken parm, the wedding soup, and the lemon blueberry cheesecake. The bruschetta, although beautifully plated, didn't seem like it had flavors that worked together. The risotto balls were amazingly cheesy, crisp on the outside, and covered in the flavorful house sauce. I'd like to say that we'd give them another chance in the future, but with as many restaurants are out there, we likely will not be back.

The prices are too high for below average food. The ambiance is nice but it doesn't justify the high prices. Service was good.

Downey's House provided the local spot I needed. An ice cold Yuengling on draft went down very well, and while I didn't find pierogis on the menu, I settled for a phenomenal bowl of spaghetti & meatballs. Local marinara & meatballs made with the same recipe of the old Main Hotel that was in Carnegie for nearly 100 years. That bowl of pasta was SCRUMPTIOUS and just what I was after. I even talked my lovely wife into doing up her salad 'Pittsburgh style', which means adorning the salad with fries. And yes, it's as good as it sounds. Thrown in a protein like grilled chicken and that is a banger of a meal. Great dining area with a square-shaped bar and TVs with sight-lines in any direction. The service is friendly and helpful, and prices are probably lower than at some chain-y eatery that just makes your food via assembly line. It's local and sensational!

Upon entering the restaurant, there are crystal chandeliers, bright colors, French posters, and a lively atmosphere. The restaurant had a lot of potential until we experienced the service and cuisine. I brought my Supper Club here, and we had a group of 8 of us. There was also a very large group at the restaurant. We were neglected on several occasions, and it took us 2 HOURS just to get our food order. That's not an exaggeration. Our waitress was rather snippy with us, and ended up apologizing at the end but it did make for an unpleasant experience. When we finally received our bread, we were so hungry that we scarfed it down despite it being not so great sour dough bread. Every dish was flavorless and left us wanting more. I had to send back the steak on two occasions: once for being undercooked and once for being overcooked. I ended up getting my meal for free. The Coquilles St. Jacques had the smallest scallops without the lovely scallop shell its usually served in. The shrimp cocktail tasted like anything you could get at the grocery store. The Nicoise Salad was just sad and flavorless. The porkchop and escargot had the most flavor. I will definitely not be back to this establishment. Our group did enjoy each other's company, and it created a very memorable experience even though it was an overall bad experience!

We were seated in a quiet area, which was great, as we are both hard of hearing. The hostest accomodated us well. We got our waters right away. A few minutes later, the complementary, warm, delicious bread and butter arrived. Yum! We both ordered 8 oz steaks, Caesar salads and sweet potatoes with the cinnamon sugar on the side. My steak was medium rare. It was cooked perfectly, a warm, very pink center. It was such a good cut of beef, it looked and tasted like a filet. My Mom asked for Medium well and she got exactly what she wanted. She was extremely happy. We opted to split a dessert and ordered the chocolate lava cake. Well, that was plenty for two to share, decadent, really. I live in metro Detroit and me and my hubby enjoy dining at the Troy location as they too are very attentive and we always get our steaks prepared exactly as we enjoy them. We enjoyed the complementary table bread and butter. We had a round of soups and salads along with the spicy chicken bites for appetizers. We all loved the chicken bites the most with their Asian/fruity flair and a kick of heat. I thought the shrimp and lobster chowder was light on the seafood and heavy on the corn, though still flavorful. For my entree, I had an 8oz NY strip with a loaded baked potato. Both were phenomenal and cooked perfectly. I discreetly mentioned the birthday we were celebrating and our server brought out a surprise sundae with a candle. I thought the restaurant was decorated thoughtfully and a lot of the pictures and animal heads felt authentically western.

Upscale restaurant that boasts a strict dress code - yet I counted at least 10-15 people in jerseys, ball caps, ripped jeans and wild oversized shirts. Me? I don't care - but I wouldn't worry about the dress code too much. We were sat on the second level right next to the stairs. Our waitress, older lady with short hair and who is really expressive in explanation took care of us. She overly explained everything - which was tough at times. I started with the lobster bisque which wasn't very good - soup tasted old and the consistency of it was odd. The table also got rolls in a small metal pan. Taste was ok but they were dry and would have been nice to come served with butter. For my entree I ordered the 6oz Japanese A5 Wagyu. I decided to order it medium rare although usually I'm a strict medium person. The steak was very good - melts immediately upon taste, and was seasoned perfectly. We shared sides of whipped potatoes and broccolini which were very good as well. As a dessert we shared the lemon cake which was massive - the picture doesn't really do it justice. Again - overall it was good, but not the over the top fancy as it may be billed.
