Prosciutto sandwich, pickled veggies

Our waitress was fabulous! Most everything is scratch made except the Mediterra Bread.. The room is a little loud. We started with the white bean dip that was very good with some nice garlic flavor. Then we shared the Beans and green that has fennel sausage, it was OK. Our table had a variety of meals. Cavatelli, Spaghetti and meatball, and the special of the day Pork Ragu fettuccine. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

The food and service was terrific. Our server Bobbi was very nice and explained the menu and specials very easily. We had the Cavatelli and Sausage, Linguine Carbonara, and the evening's special roast pork dish. Grandma's Bread Pizza was a delightful starter and was enough for two or three people. All of the desserts were great and we toured the bakery, planning to come back just for a late night dessert.

~3.5 stars. LeoGreta restaurant serves Italian foods in a casual atmosphere. As of January 2025, their menu, which I attached as a photo to this review, lists 5 starters, 3 salads, 6 entrees, 6 sides, and many non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. As you can see, the selection of foods is smaller than what many other restaurants offer. My husband and I ate one dinner here. My husband drank a Coke, and I drank an Italian orange soda. For appetizers, we ate an arugula-radicchio salad (3.5 stars, consider adding more ingredients) and a white-bean dip with bread (4.5 stars). My entree was chicken parmigiano (3.5 stars), and my husband's entree was spaghetti with a meatball (3 stars). My husband said that the foods tasted "average." I will add that all of the employees' service was excellent--very prompt and friendly.

I went to the bakery and they had beautiful fluffy blueberry scones with a whipped butter. Amazing.

Every time I eat here it is a delicious experience! Pros: so much of their food is made from scratch, from the pasta to the sauces. They grow their own tomatoes and vegetables on a farm south of Pittsburgh, and their bread comes from Mediterra, one of my favorite bakeries. Their staff always goes above and beyond, their house specials are so original and feature their in-season vegetables. When I ate here they had a corn cream pasta with goat cheese. They boil whole corn on the cob in cream. And then cut the kernels into the cream when it is done. I do not like goat cheese (even that is homemade), but I tried it on top and it paired well with the food. I never would have thought to try a corn cream sauce over cavatelli with goat cheese, but was so glad I did. Cons: my complaint is always the music. Great Italian restaurant playing 70's rock just seems out of place. Summary: maybe someday I will have an average meal here, but, until that day, LeoGreta is 5 stars all the way. Pro-tip: the white bean dip appetizer with that Mediterra bread is out of this world.

Great family-owned Italian restaurant in the heart of Carnegie. The homemade pastas and secret family recipes make this place truly special. Service is friendly and attentive. Even without a reservation, there is plenty of seating in the bar area or the other two main dining areas that are next door to their bakery and dessert bar. Portions are adequate - we can usually finish our meals without needing to-go containers, even when sharing a house meatball (highly recommend!). But make sure to save room for dessert, because their tiramisu and cannolis are not to be missed.

Showed up for dinner this past Wednesday around 5:30. We didn't have a reservation and because of that they only had bar seating available for us. It wasn't a problem, as a petty of 2, because the bar is actually quite wide and we could talk to one another side by side. Though, if you have a group larger than 2, I'd strongly recommend making a reservation. Our bartender was very friendly and attentive. She made us decaf espresso martinis quickly and got our order in for the white bean dip as an app. The martinis were strong both in espresso flavor and in alcohol content. We enjoyed them, but both agreed we prefer ours to be a little more frothy and to have a chocolate component. Just personal preference! The white bean dip came with the perfect kind of bread for dipping - the inside was soft, but the crust had a nice crunch. The dip had good flavor and was really similar to hummus. For our mains, I had the cavatelli & sausage and my friend had the spaghetti and meatball. My pasta was amazing. It was creamy and buttery, was sprinkled with parmesan cheese, and the cavatelli had the nicest chew to it. The sausage was in bite sized chunks and slightly spicy. My friend said her spaghetti and meatball was as expected. The meatball was not falling apart and was seasoned well. I took a stroll over to the dessert case, at the end of our meal, and decided I had to leave with a pecan turtle and a buckeye. If I had more stomach space available, I certainly could've done more financial damage. Everything looked delicious. Would definitely recommend for a nicer dinner spot!

Chicken Parmesan With pasta

Solid Italian food. Good service and very good Italian vibes inside. I had the chicken parm with pasta. Pasta wasn't for me but many would like. Chicken parm was above avg.

I went here 2 months ago and I am behind on my reviews, say that because I wish I could name everything we tried and such. I also have more photos but only lets me attach so many. But OMG - what a gem of a place: AMAZING treats and desserts, just incredible quality no better way to describe. We tried several and got some to go. Their menus are full of great items, hard to choose and that's saying something as I don't have a sweet tooth and it blew me away. I like their dining area it feels like you're at home, very comfy feel and chill vibe. Staff were very welcoming, nice and provided suggestions. Highly recommend, can't wait to go back - this reminds me to.

Linguini Carbonara

Was dying to try LeoGreta as I've heard wonderful things over last several years! Finally made it there for a date night with my husband. We tried the gnocchi, linguini carbonara, and panna cotta for dessert. The gnocchi was excellent! I also enjoyed the linguini carbonara but there wasn't a ton of other elements in the linguini aside from the noodle and the sauce (was just ok). Panna cotta was very good too! All of the staff were very friendly and attentive and overall we had a great experience and the owner/chef came out after our meal which was the best touch! We will definitely return i try some other dishes, I was just slightly underwhelmed with some of the food based on the hype.

We were in Zelienople for a musical and stumbled upon this newly opened winery. Apparently, there…read morewas a winery here in the past, but this one just opened up. We were warmly greeted by Todd and Gina, the owners, who couldn't have been friendlier. Todd told us all about their wines, including the awards they've won, especially in California, and generously offered us the chance to try any of the wines at no cost. We started with the Gruner Veltliner, a bright, citrusy, and crisp wine. It was extremely dry compared to other Gruners we've had, which are usually more fruit-forward, but it was still quite enjoyable. Next, we tried the Riesling, which was also very good. My wife moved over to the semi-sweet side and tried the Traminette, which I eventually sampled after trying all the dry wines. We both really liked it. I then tried the Cabernet Franc, which was a medium-bodied wine with notes of raspberry, blueberry, and a light mocha oakiness--delicious! The Chambourcin was also quite good, without the typical bite or tartness. Lastly, the Flagship Red, a classic Bordeaux-style dry red, had a pleasant hint of pepper and was definitely a standout. Todd shared that they exclusively offer wines from Stony Run Vineyards in Breinigsville, PA, which has a wide selection. They're also planning to offer Old Fashioneds soon, as their winery includes a distillery, and they'll be featuring a "drink of the week" as well. What really sets this place apart, though, is Todd and Gina themselves. They're genuinely kind people who are dedicated to the community, and it was heartwarming to learn that they both served in the US Military--Todd in the Navy and Gina in the Air Force. We're already looking forward to our next visit when we're in the area again. Don't forget to thank them for their service when you stop by!

We arrived at 5:30 and were quoted a 45-minute wait (possibly less). We stood outside for over an hour. During that time, we watched multiple parties who arrived after us get seated ahead of us--including a two-top seated immediately after we were told we were "next." When we questioned it, staff were defensive and claimed some guests "live nearby," put their names in earlier, and leave to wait for a text. That was never explained on the phone or upon arrival. From what we directly observed, the seating process did not appear first-come, first-served. It appeared selective. Transparency matters, and so does basic courtesy when guests ask legitimate questions. Ten minutes after we finally left--after waiting over an hour--we were told our table was ready. By then, the issue was no longer the wait, but the clear lack of organization and professionalism. We will not be returning.
