Lovely little jazz bar/restaurant located on the main strip of Sharpsburg! Came in to see my friends perform and an amazing atmosphere. 100% PLEASE GET A RESERVATION!! I've been turned away before because most of the seating is reserved. If you really want a spot, always better to book ahead. The restaurant is like a long rectangle shape so it's tough to really get a good view of the band unless you're seated near them. I love the way their menu is formatted it's so fun and a ton of great options. Opted for the salmon papardelle with a bread app and of course a lychee martini. All dishes were fantastic as always and this is a great date night spot!!

I cannot recommend this place enough! I went with a group of seven. We were supposed to go elsewhere, but the place we had a reservation for closed last minute. Uncorked was wonderful at getting us in with a reservation and accommodating us. The wait staff was so kind and gave our group fantastic recommendations that we all loved. The wine was delicious as was the food. Now for the best part: the live music. The band playing when we were there was fantastic, and the saxophone player (who was 96 years old) even came around to say hi to every table on his break. I will definitely have to go back again!

WOW. I could not believe it when I walked in, I felt like I was in a New York City bar! Incredible vibe all around, quick and attentive bartenders, and the food looked AMAZING! We split a bottle of wine and had the bread and oil, which was soft and fresh and warm. Cannot wait to be back!

The seating is basically one giant bar area (with two standalone tables in the back), so not being able to sit across from each other made it difficult to carry conversations. However, we got to sit in the coveted orange chair which was cool! For a drink, I ordered the Fu Dog. Their drink menu has detailed descriptions and also illustrated pictures of the drinks. That was nice and helped me decide what I wanted to order. For food, I ordered the ikura (salmon roe) nigiri, and miso black cod. The food and drinks are delicious. It was also neat to be able to see the food and drinks being prepared. I thought this place was really neat and the food was great! I'll definitely visit again but just with a smaller party!

Its menu lists starters such as…read moreedamame and miso soup, several types of maki rolls, several flavors of nigiri and sashimi, plates such as yaki wagyu and miso black cod, desserts such as chocolate-soy brownie, and drinks such as cocktails and sake. My husband ate dinner at this restaurant when it first opened in 2024, and we ate dinner together here recently. For our recent dinner, we had a reservation to sit at the bar counter. The hostess and waitress promptly seated us and politely spoke with us. The waitress mentioned the daily specials and explained that the restaurant flies in fish from Japan. The chefs prepared our foods in a reasonable time. Our starters were the Ginger Salad (4 stars, slightly too much ginger dressing but fresh greens and carrots) and the Spicy Tuna Rice Cake (4 stars, my husband commented on the fried rice but liked the tuna, avocado, mayo, and jalapeño). Our main courses were the Spicy Scallop Maki Roll (4 stars) and the Nigiri Plate (4 stars, two pieces each of lean tuna, salmon, hamachi/yellowtail, and added otoro for $54). My dessert was the Matcha Misu (4 stars, tiramisu cream, matcha honey tea, and lady-finger cookie). My husband's impression one year ago was that employees in Bakery Square were initially excited to have a sushi restaurant but then thought that the quality did not quite match the higher price. We have eaten sushi in many restaurants in Pittsburgh and in Japan, and after my dinner here, I agree with him. Nevertheless, if you like sushi, then I think that Golden Gai is worth a try.

This was our first time back since they opened December 2024 and there's been so much growth since then! They've tightened up service and we thought the menu was more cohesive now. We started off with some amuse-bouche before heading over to the dinner table for the main courses. They did a great job of explaining the ingredients and techniques used in each course and everything felt very intentional. My favorite dishes were the swordfish, duck breast, and parsnip cheesecake. Each course comes with a drink pairing and I was really impressed by the complex and unique cocktails. They give you a printout of everything you ate and drank at the end in a goodie bag along with some cookies! This is such a fun and delicious elevated dining experience that's great for special occasions or really whenever you just want to treat yourself.

This is a rarity in Pittsburgh and I'm glad it exists. We dined at Spork before they switched to…read morethe tasting menu and wasn't too fond of it-my opinion has changed! There is a hard start time as the tasting menu is done in a large group setting-serving everyone at once. So, we found ourselves wandering around the neighborhood and then standing in front of the door waiting for 6pm to strike, I felt like a creep. The area itself is an open floor plan so when they welcome you in, it's confusing to see the table we will be seated around but also see little stations for the canapés. Little awkward. We found a two-seater, and as a plus size woman I felt a bit cramped. My husband and I are both tall (5'11" and 6'3" so we were both fighting over who got the bench seat vs the little stool. There's always that awkwardness when you're looking around trying to figure out what the heck is about to happen and wondering..when is it time to EAT. We did 3 or 4 canapés which were all enjoyable-one that stands out to me had goat cheese and beets-yum! We are asked to take our seats at the large table and ...awkward again bc we are just kind of all looking around waiting. I have a sensitivity to alcohol so I did the N.A. pairing and I didn't feel like I missed out on much. The sommelier did a great job at explaining the notes and why each pairing happened. I really enjoyed the tasting menu. The chef kept us abreast of what we were trying and looped in other accompanying staff which gave us some of their backstory which was nice. I love that the restaurant has an urban garden and tries to reduce waste-that's so important. Minus 1 star because of the clunkiness of the bench area vs the large table where we ate and the cost. $275/pp plus tip isn't something that many can swing in a blue collar city.
