I recently visited Uncorked for dinner with my mom. We came in on a night that there was a jazz group playing. We started out with some drinks- I got a martini and my mom got a N/A cocktail. They have so many different martini flavors which is cool. I went with a cucumber martini. For food, we started with the spinach dip. For entrees, I ordered Nonee's Veal Ravioli and mom ordered Cod Florentine. Everything was good but the spinach dip was our favorite bite. Our waitress was very nice and attentive as well. One thing to note is that I feel like the prices for some items are a little high for the portion offered. Uncorked is a restaurant and bar that serves upscale foods and drinks and features live performances by local jazz artists. Examples of menu items are shrimp cocktail, charcuterie board, salads, chicken marsala, cod florentine, lamb, filet mignon, and pastas. Drinks include wines, cocktails, and beers. Prices are moderate. I made a reservation for dinner for my husband and me. When we entered the restaurant, employees immediately greeted us, and they kindly seated us at a nice table that was a bit private near a window. Most other seating was either along a wall or at the bar next to other customers. I really liked the jazz prints and murals on the walls. Throughout our meal, the employees promptly brought our drinks and foods, and they frequently checked in with us. My husband and I started our meal with a Mary Pickford cocktail (Barcardi, pineapple juice, maraschino liqueur, and cherry), Cobb Salad (mixed greens, pickled red onions, pancetta, gorgonzola, cherry tomatoes, hard-boiled egg, and ranch dressing), and Insalata (mixed greens, parmesan, pickled red onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, dried cranberries, sautéed mushrooms, and house vinaigrette). I liked the cocktail, and the salads were a large size, contained very fresh ingredients, and tasted very good. Our main courses were Blackened Salmon (Cajun-seasoned salmon with potatoes, asparagus, tomatoes, and herbs) and Short Rib Gnocchi (short rib, pancetta, garlic cream sauce, and parmesan). I liked my salmon and vegetables, but my husband felt unhappy about the oil sitting on top of his gnocchi. The waitress, however, noticed that he ate little, and she made things right. We had an early reservation, so we unfortunately finished eating before the music started. We saw the musicians setting up. I bet that their performance sounded great. Lovely little jazz bar/restaurant located on the main strip of Sharpsburg! Came in to see my friends perform and an amazing atmosphere. 100% PLEASE GET A RESERVATION!! I've been turned away before because most of the seating is reserved. If you really want a spot, always better to book ahead. The restaurant is like a long rectangle shape so it's tough to really get a good view of the band unless you're seated near them. I love the way their menu is formatted it's so fun and a ton of great options. Opted for the salmon papardelle with a bread app and of course a lychee martini. I cannot recommend this place enough! I went with a group of seven. We were supposed to go elsewhere, but the place we had a reservation for closed last minute. Uncorked was wonderful at getting us in with a reservation and accommodating us. The wait staff was so kind and gave our group fantastic recommendations that we all loved. The wine was delicious as was the food. Now for the best part: the live music. The band playing when we were there was fantastic, and the saxophone player (who was 96 years old) even came around to say hi to every table on his break. I had Uncorked on my to go list since they first opened because I love like jazz music. They have live jazz Friday and Saturday nights. I finally got to go for dinner on a Friday night, did not make any reservation, just got lucky and was able to get a table for two immediately. The restaurant is set up railway style, just one straight line down. We were seated closer to the door so you couldn't really see the live band, couldn't hear them too well neither because of background noise. But I think they did a good job. My disappointment was in the food quality. for the ambience and the price that they present, I expected a way better menu variety and quality. My partner and I both didn't enjoy our entrées. We both got an espresso martinis and thought those were fine. I had planned on staying for a dessert but decided against it to save from disappointment. Overall, would recommend this place as somewhere to sit on the bar and have a leisurely drink, I would just personally skip the food read more

WOW. I could not believe it when I walked in, I felt like I was in a New York City bar! Incredible vibe all around, quick and attentive bartenders, and the food looked AMAZING! We split a bottle of wine and had the bread and oil, which was soft and fresh and warm. Cannot wait to be back! read more

Went to Uncorked last night and had a great time. We were seated upstairs and the service was outstanding! They have a big screen tv and we watched the jazz band while enjoying dinner and have conversations with our friends and family. There is an elevator to the second floor dining area so the steps are not an issue. My wife had the scallops and loved them, I had the lamb chops which were delicious. We also liked the greens and beans and meatballs. They make incredible martinis and craft drinks. Parking can be a challenge so come early! We were seated at the smallest table that wobbled the entire time. We got the charcuterie board and it was awful. No jams or honey, which is what brings a charcuterie board together. The waitress didn't explain what anything in the board and the menu didn't say either. When I asked what was on the board another waitress tried to tell us but she had no clue what she was talking about. The board was $34. Outrageous. The service was trash. Our waitress would disappear for long periods of time when there were minimal patrons in the restaurant. She didn't move with urgency and took forever to remove anything from our already small table. Our entrees were the lobster Mac n cheese, that was good. And the butternut squash ravioli, which was also good. However the raviolis only came with 4 raviolis. There was no salad or bread served before the entrees. Lobster Mac was $30 and raviolis were $24. Lastly, we ordered the French martini. However it tasted like the remnants of what remains on the bar after a long day of service. Idk how this place is so highly rated. read more

I've been here twice. The first time was excellent! Second time was good, but not as great. Let me explain: Overall, the portions are a bit pricey. The pastas are worth it, the meat entrees not so much. Roasted carrots and charcuterie board were excellent appetizers -- highly recommend both. Do not get the salmon or lamb chops. The dishes are underwhelming. We decided to cancel our salmon dish after seeing what it looked like when the table next to us received it. The salmon portion was very small and looked absolutely dry. We did order the lamb chops, but we had to get a new batch of potatoes because the one served to us were completely burnt and blackened (and not in a stylistic way... they were inedible). The drinks are always delicious and the pasta's are very good and homemade. Love the jazz music as always. Service has never been a problem. This is a great romantic spot and I highly recommend coming here. You will enjoy it as long as you don't have high expectations for the meat entrées. read more

Uncorked is a new, very cool, little gem in Sharpsburg! Sharpsburg has been up and coming for a while. Within walking distance of James Sharp landing on the Allegheny River, Redhawk Coffee Roasters, a number of local art galleries, "Love, Katie" Distilling, and some fun little shops make this a great place to spend some time wandering. Uncorked makes it a downright must-go destination. It is tucked in where 446 Distilling was ( a sad loss, thanks to COVID) on Main St. With a gorgeous warm wood and brick interior, you immediately feel the intimate, speakeasy vibe. The front has a dazzling bar displaying a tremendous selection of top-notch liquor selections and small cozy high top tables. The tantalizing cocktail menu is a mix of classics and new twists. Wine fan? The list is extensive and a specialty. Oh, but the food menu! Super-creative small plates include pastas, seafood and Kobe beef. The apps are classic, and done beautifully. I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts. Even if you think you don't like them- they are dressed and have exactly the right bite. My brother enjoyed the wedge salad and the cheese board was plenty for us to all share. Our table of four ordered the seared scallops, shrimp polenta, lobster mac ( a special for the night) and pappardelle with crab ( seafood fans, obviously!) We shared all. Service was great. Timed well and our server was sweet and efficient. Everything was perfectly presented- hot, beautiful and delicious. The shrimp were a prefect bite and huge, lobster mac had big chunks of lobster. I wish there was more crab in the pappardelle. It was still yummy, to say the least. Last, but certainly, definitely, not the least was the live jazz!! We were at a table close to the stage, but were still able to talk. The very talented singer was dressed for the part and music made everything more of a total experience! Which is my summary. Uncorked is an experience- and an affordable one. The ambiance, the food, the cocktails and the music combine to create a memorable, intimate, lovely evening. Take a special date or go with friends. We were heading to tuck in one last time at Mary's Vine before it closed its doors. Despite what it said on its website, and the Voicemail we heard, the terrace room was not open. Whatever. Uncorked was what we found instead. We wanted wine and food and we got both. We also got great hospitality from the moment we walked in the door. Absolutely loved the heirloom carrot appetizer. My friend had the salmon (tasty) and I had polenta stew (not what I expected, more like a soup in the polenta with lost in it. Would try something else next time. And there will be a next time. Shared carrot cake for dessert. (We've had better, but the only alternative was lemon cake). I had to try the Coppola claret. (Yum). All in all, what won us over was the ambience, the fact that there's jazz Thursday through the weekend. It's the kind of place that you could pop into at any time, feel welcomed, and enjoy yourself. When I found out there was a place that had wine, jazz and small plates close to me, I couldn't believe I hadn't been there yet! We decided to try it for my birthday. We arrived for our 6pm reservation and the tables were fairly open. Server was quick and attentive. We had wine and the carrots appetizer. I do have to mention, that for a place named uncorked, the wine list was very disappointing. I can get Joel Gott anywhere, I want new wines I haven't heard of. After we finished our appetizer, the place was jammed and our server was running to every single table. We had to wait quite a while between dinner and dessert. Dinner was filet and lamb. Both priced well for their portions. Filet was over cooked and my arugula salad was heavily dressed, but good. My only other small gripe was the music. For a jazz bar, it was absolutely not jazz music being played. I was glad for the experience, but I'm not adding this place to my return list. read more

We have been to Uncorked four times now despite it being a 45-minute drive. The ambiance is great, a relaxed, sophisticated but fun vibe. The musical acts are consistently good. The menu, while limited, is always good. The lamb chops are excellent. They also have a very good drinks menu including cocktails and wines by the glass and by the bottle. The noise level can be moderately high because of the live music. I would recommend this place without reservation. read more

I really wanted to love this place as Con Alma is one of my favorite spots for good food and good jazz. To start, we were seated and our server did immediately welcome us and took our drink order. After we received our drink, she did not return for 40 minutes (this is not an exaggeration). We tried to flag her down a few times but she never looked our way. When she did return she simply said "I forgot about you". We did order appetizers (which at this point I just wanted to leave BUT we made friends with the couple at the table beside us which was the only enjoyable part of the evening, Sissy). The carrot appetizer was really good!! However the wait for the dinner was another long wait....my husband got an italian dish and I ordered the chicken marsala (do not recommend). Very average at best. It's also worth noting the wine selection is also less than average. I hope this place does better because it could be an awesome spot. read more

We'd been hearing rave reviews about Uncorked for months, and finally made it in, and wow, it exceeded every expectation! The restaurant has such a cool, sophisticated vibe, you feel like you're in New York. We were warmly greeted and seated by Maeson, who was also our server for the evening. She was an absolute delight, friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. She made us feel right at home. We started with drinks and a round of appetizers: the Focaccia Bread, Meatballs, and Beet Salad, each one beautifully presented and delicious! For dinner, my wife had Nonnee's Ravioli and I went with the Pappardelle. Both dishes were made with fresh, homemade pasta and were amazing To top it all off, the live jazz music set the perfect tone for the evening, adding to the restaurant's charm and atmosphere.
