Had a wonderful Valentines dinner! We went on a Friday night before Valentine's Day and while the place was packed, it wasn't overly crowded. Our server was very nice and attentive. I started off with the Buratta appetizer, which was delicious. My husband got the Parma salad, but it was pretty bland and dry. He really didn't like it but ate it anyway . I got the rigatoni à la vodka and added some protein to it. The bread pudding was one of the best I've ever had.

Had a great experience here a few nights ago! The staff were hospitable and the food came out pretty fast for how busy it was. The Caprese Burrata was refreshing! The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was delicious but I thought the veggies (the green beans) were a little raw. I'd recommend getting the chili flakes on top! The spinach pizza was pretty great too! Overall a great experience and would come back! It was decorated nicely inside for Christmas :)

Restaurant was beautiful and very comfortable. Service was absolutely outstanding. From there it got kind of rocky. The drinks The grass is always greener and Who's that girl. She's zesty we're good. Beef Osso Buco came out barely warm. The flavor was good but cool. The polenta was cool and congealed already. Like they plated my food then started pounding the chicken for the Chicken Parm. The Chicken parm was very good. The Gnocchi short rib ragu was very dense. The ragu was very good. The meatball appetizer was very good.

Pretty stinking cool place. Especially for how they accomodated us on our trip. Two of our girls in the bach party were late; like 45 minutes late. And they let us keep our table and drink while we waited for them. Nicer restaurant to try for sure. Clean, staff was good, no issue at all. Not a 5 star simply because it was above average but not something that made me have it stand out above anything else. I will be back at some point.

We came to Vallozzi's prior to attending a show at the Byham Theater. The restaurant is walking distance from any of the theaters in the Cultural District. The place has an upscale Italian feel. The service was excellent. Anthony did a great job taking care of our group. We started out with some bread with oil and butter. My brother had pesto spaghetti, his fiance had chicken parmesan. My wife had a Caesar Salad and I had the Bolognese. Everything we had was enjoyable.

Chicken parmesan and house focaccia bread

Went here for a late Valentine's day dinner. The service was amazing, Matt, was super friendly. He went the extra mile for a table next to us, that had a gluten allergy. The house focaccia bread came with ricotta cheese and olive oil type dip, it was delicious. The chicken parmesan was a super large portion but also delicious. It was a great ambiance, a little darker on the inside but incredibly enjoyable and relaxing. Definitely going to go to this spot again!

Made reservations before our show at the Benedum at 730. We had 530 reservations plenty of time to get to show. We started with the Arancini which was delicious. Main courses were mixed in reviews. Mine was the Veal Osso Buco, excellent and we had the Brussel Sprouts added rather than pasta. My daughter had the ribeye steak very nice as well the chicken saltimbocca. The fish my wife had was a bit dry not my first choice next time. Service was great, thanks David. Definitely will go again before another show downtown.

Friends and I reserved a table after an outing landing us there around 8:30pm in a Saturday night. The restaurant looked very elegant but not too stuffy, beautiful setup. We were seated upon arrival and was instantly greeted by our server Matt who made for a wonderful experience. He was friendly and personable while mainting a professional attitude with his extensive knowledge of the menu, both food and wines ! The lobster risotto , prosciutto plate , and filet mignon were phenomenal ! Unfortunetly the filet and strip steak came out way over the tempeture we asked for , but our server noticed it instantly and accommodated us with no hesitation. We left with full and completely satisfied . We will be back! Highly recommend !

Vallozzi's is a go to restaurant for us especially before we see a show. The entrance is very unique with the many plates on the wall signed by famous people. The restaurant opens at 5, which is when our reservation was. It was pouring out, so they let us in a couple minutes early and seated us exactly at 5. Our waiter was very kind, but a little distant during dinner. At some points our drinks were empty for an extended period of time. The appetizers we ordered were the Burrata board and Arancini. Both options were extremely tasty! For dinner, we ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs, Gnocchi, Seafood Risotto, and Pappardelle Bolognese. I did not completely enjoy the gnocchi dish, but the bolognese was great! The scallops on the risotto were cooked absolutely perfectly. The espresso martini was great as well. As always, we will be back in the future!

I was in Pittsburgh earlier this month to run the Pittsburgh (half) Marathon and made a reservation for my boyfriend and I to carb load at one of the best Italian restaurants in the city - according to Google. Unfortunately, my experience formed a bit of a different opinion for me than that of Google's. Turns out I made the reservation for the bar area so that was less than ideal but that was my mistake. Everything was just lackluster from start to finish. Our server, Darin G., recommended the burrata appetizer which sounded delicious as described on the menu as fig, pomegranate, crispy rapini, farro, grilled fennel, and Fresno-grapefruit vinaigrette. I love farro but there were probably 3 little pieces of farro in the entire plate. The dish was fine but nothing special, unfortunately. For our carbloading, my boyfriend ordered the gnocchi and didn't finish it which was shocking and I had a new-to-me dish, Rotolos. The rotolos came out a bit differently than described by our server but the combination of butternut squash, ricotta, prosciutto, etc. was pretty good and the portion size was great. Unfortunately this restaurant did not meet my expectations and I was disappointed to say the least. Ultimately, I would steer others towards the other restaurants we had the opportunity to dine at during our trip. If Google recommends Vallozzi's to you like it did to me, I hope you have a better experience.

I travel to Pittsburgh for work about once a month and I am so glad I found this beautiful restaurant and wine bar! The happy hour specials are incredible. I got the charcuterie board which I could've sworn was full sized and such a deal for only $10, they also bring you a big plate of delicious homemade bread and whipped feta dip and the wine selection is fabulous. I will definitely be back to eat dinner and escape after long days in the office. The bartenders were friendly and I felt welcome!

Our table had two servers assigned to us, which was interesting. I'll be honest, I was skeptical of the prices and that I would leave hungry, but I was proven wrong! I was extremely full, and we went during happy hour so we got one of those deals! Split between 3 people, the bill was pretty reasonable! We each got a personalized wine flight. I got a rosé, Riesling, and Pinot Grigio - the rosé was my fav! Everything else we ordered: -Whipped Sheep's cheese w/ truffle honey + chips -Jamón & Manchego Croquetas (happy hour deal) -Patatas Bravas (happy hour deal) -Mussels + homemade sausage -Albondigas aka spiced meatballs (happy hour deal) -Bacon wrapped dates -Potato tortilla -Spiced beef empanadas -Espresso martini -Chocolate cake Overall I really enjoyed everything! Hard to pick a favorite, but I'd say my least favorite thing was the bacon-wrapped dates (I just don't eat dates very much). I was a little disappointed in the size of the empanadas, I'm used to eating bigger ones from other restaurants, but they were still very tasty! The food came out fast and was super fresh! Our main server Becca was funny, relatable, and really made this such a fun experience! She also treated us to the sangria chug (not sure if that's the official name but that's what I'm calling it lol). The dim lighting and dark decor makes a perfect ambiance for a girls night or date night!

I had a glass of Tierra Limpia (brut/sparkling) that was very good. The atmosphere is modern with European flair. Good service.

The flan was really disappointing, they don't even put dulce de leche or cream on it, it tasted t like one bought at a supermarket, so dull and again $12.00 ?? The Milanese de pollo was really good but not close to Argentinian style, no fries no fried eggs included. My issue is that they use the Argentinian style label as a marketing tool and they are not even close. The price was ridiculously high for the experience.

After waiting 30 minutes for it, they decide to come out and tell me that they are out of bread pudding. It would've been beneficial to know that prior to paying, however, they did not even offer a refund. Instead, they told me they would give me a tiramisu instead. On day two, I placed an order for a salad with a chicken skewer upcharge. Upon getting my order and opening the container, I saw that the skewer was not in there despite being charged $10 for it. The other items here at the restaurant were not good, and I do not recommend this as they don't want to make good quality food. Lobster ravioli is pretty dry and tough to chew. Tiramisu is missing that earthy coffee flavor. Chicken caprese says that it comes with fresh mozzarella, however, they only gave us small circle of cheese on one side of the sandwich (covers about 1/4 of the sandwich). Do not get the truffle fries, they are the exact same taste as the normal fries. Last, the crab and shrimp dip is highly inconsistent. The first day, it was good and actually had pieces of shrimp. The second day, zero shrimp. In the end, this restaurant has several deficiencies that they do not seem willing to resolve.

Cocktail menu is deceiving as they didn't have all of the ones listed but they added a few extra that our server was kind enough to bring to our attention. I ordered a daiquiri that was not listed and it was so good. More like thick juice than a cocktail. Didn't even taste like it had alcohol in it. GF ordered a jalapeño marg that was also more sweet than spicy but had the cutest little garnishes. There were many appetizers that were tempting but you really can't ever go wrong with a burrata, especially fried burrata. Theirs was served on a bed of tomato sauce and something green, likely basil related. So fucking delicious. Only thing that would have been better was if there was some bread to put that shit on. Love that they had a specific vegetarian entree: roasted spaghetti squash with creamy spinach, chickpeas, and arugula. This was very good but it was basically cream soup in the bowl with spaghetti squash. I ordered the Asiago stuffed gnocchi with corn in what was billed as a elotes type vibe. Very good and creative. They also have champ bongs which is incredible. How is this not more popular?? We ordered the pair of 2 for $14 (what a fucking steal amirite?) and all of the Gen Z broads at the next table were ooohing and ahhing so that felt like a fucking win for the old millennials.
