On a whim, I decided to walk back to the hotel from some sights in the Mexican War Streets neighborhood. As I passed by this boisterous street, I looked up, saw the wine bar, paused, and walked in without a second thought. I easily grabbed a seat at the bar and the folks working were so nice and friendly! I was there solo and they didn't treat me any differently than larger groups, which I so appreciated. I tried the rose and loved it so much that I bought a bottle to go. Brought it back home and indulged! If I'm ever in Pittsburgh again (which I will be), I know I'll be stopping back here.

There were two bartenders and three other staff members who seemed to be handling seating and samples, along with a runner for food and drinks. Unfortunately, we waited over 25 minutes for a drink, and others who arrived after us were served first. It definitely put a damper on the visit. If I go back, I'll probably stick to just drinks and maybe a couple of apps--but honestly, I think I'll continue going to the original Strip District spot where the energy, service, and overall experience feel more dialed in.
