I made reservations for a Wednesday night at 6pm for four people. This is located on the ground floor of the Oaklander hotel and there's a bar along with a good number of tables, booths, and high tops. We family styled a few dishes and desserts and, of course, had to have some drinks! They have an extensive cocktail and spirit menu. I did enjoy our meal and our server, Dom, was absolutely lovely. While the food is pretty good overall and really good for hotel food, it is on the pricey side for what it is. The bill for the four of us was just shy of $400 so I would take this into consideration before dining here.

    Amazing incredible perfect hot sauce

I saw this place on Tiktok and had to stop by, and I'm so glad I did! It is in the Oaklander hotel, which is stunning in itself, and the restaurant is so well decorated. From the lighting to the bar decor, everything was so well thought out! Our waitress gave us many recommendations, but we went with the brussels sprouts, farm to fire pizza (weekly rotating options) and the truffle pig. All were great, but the current farm to table with pears and chevre was so flavorful! The homemade hot sauce deserves its own shoutout because it was perfection, we even asked if they sold it separately (unfortunately no). Food and drinks were on the higher scale in terms of cost, but were tasty. Love love loved this place, and looking forward to coming back and trying more things on the menu!

    - This ground-level spot at The Oaklander has full-light from three sides. The main floor is modern and open with scattered four and two-tops on black and white tile. Several booths along one side for more intimate feel. Nice physical plant. Front of house team gracious, friendly and knows the menu & kitchen well. - The Roasted Castelvetrano Olives with pickled onion, feta, basil and griddled sourdough is an unexpected savory little love bomb. There some sneaky and clever zip from a touch of crushed red pepper. The crispy basil is particularly fun. - The Spicy Pepperoni Pizza with jalapeño and hot honey delivers on the promise in the menu. This is a great thin crust pie. The hot honey is not overwrought. Chef has really nailed her pizza crust. Holds together where it needs to, but on the edges is light and airy and never too toothsome. The more of this I have, the more impressed I am with it. This pie competes with several of Pittsburgh's best high-end pies. - The Chicken Milanese is lovely plate with perfectly rendered chicken piled high with arugula and sun-dried tomato. The black pepper sauce is subtle and sublime and does not at any point outshine or compete with the chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly. My counterpart: "This makes me so happy."

    Tuna Crudo

My boyfriend & I were able to get reservations for a Friday night. It's in the bottom of the Oaklander Hotel so we used the parking garage right across the street. The vibes are super cute and low lighting, great for date nights! We got the tuna crudo and vodka pizza where we added pepperoni. We also got sides of ranch & hot honey. The ranch was really good & the hot honey had jalapeño in it! The tuna crudo was really good. However, the pizza wasn't that impressive - the crust was lacking flavor and was hard on the bottom so it was ripping up the roof of my mouth, there was barely any sauce on it, & the pesto was thick and flavorless. Overall, it's probably the nicest pizza date spot in the area and I would go there over some other places, but in comparison to similar upscale pizza places in Pittsburgh, this wasn't our #1 choice.

    Rigatoni

Fantastic food in this new restaurant offered by former Nemacolin chef Kristen Butterworth. I had the short rib with potatoes and heirloom carrots. It came out with a cover over it with smoke under the cover. So tender and the sauce was amazing! Great presentation! My wife had the rigatoni which is from the chef's grandmother's recipe. It was so good we ordered an extra meal to take home. Our server offered us the opportunity to have grilled bread which was a perfect addition to our meal. Be sure to ask for it. The limoncello ladyfinger dessert was delightful. We enjoyed a very comfortable booth. Creative cocktails. Lots of people around us were ordering delicious looking pizzas. I highly recommend this new restaurant!

Way more expensive than I was expecting. Signature cocktails $20! The side salad was delicious. I actually got a second because the first was so good. Then, the second one was way bigger than the first. the plain pizza was ok

Our table had two servers assigned to us, which was interesting. I'll be honest, I was skeptical of the prices and that I would leave hungry, but I was proven wrong! I was extremely full, and we went during happy hour so we got one of those deals! Split between 3 people, the bill was pretty reasonable! We each got a personalized wine flight. I got a rosé, Riesling, and Pinot Grigio - the rosé was my fav! Everything else we ordered: -Whipped Sheep's cheese w/ truffle honey + chips -Jamón & Manchego Croquetas (happy hour deal) -Patatas Bravas (happy hour deal) -Mussels + homemade sausage -Albondigas aka spiced meatballs (happy hour deal) -Bacon wrapped dates -Potato tortilla -Spiced beef empanadas -Espresso martini -Chocolate cake Overall I really enjoyed everything! Hard to pick a favorite, but I'd say my least favorite thing was the bacon-wrapped dates (I just don't eat dates very much). I was a little disappointed in the size of the empanadas, I'm used to eating bigger ones from other restaurants, but they were still very tasty! The food came out fast and was super fresh! Our main server Becca was funny, relatable, and really made this such a fun experience! She also treated us to the sangria chug (not sure if that's the official name but that's what I'm calling it lol). The dim lighting and dark decor makes a perfect ambiance for a girls night or date night!

I've only ever been for brunch and the offerings were delicious. We chose from an array of tapas that included olive oil pancakes, roasted carrots, gambas al ajillo, hummus, focaccia and more. I had a glass of Tierra Limpia (brut/sparkling) that was very good. The atmosphere is modern with European flair. Good service.

After waiting 30 minutes for it, they decide to come out and tell me that they are out of bread pudding. It would've been beneficial to know that prior to paying, however, they did not even offer a refund. Instead, they told me they would give me a tiramisu instead. On day two, I placed an order for a salad with a chicken skewer upcharge. Upon getting my order and opening the container, I saw that the skewer was not in there despite being charged $10 for it. The other items here at the restaurant were not good, and I do not recommend this as they don't want to make good quality food. Lobster ravioli is pretty dry and tough to chew. Tiramisu is missing that earthy coffee flavor. Chicken caprese says that it comes with fresh mozzarella, however, they only gave us small circle of cheese on one side of the sandwich (covers about 1/4 of the sandwich). Do not get the truffle fries, they are the exact same taste as the normal fries. Last, the crab and shrimp dip is highly inconsistent. The first day, it was good and actually had pieces of shrimp. The second day, zero shrimp. In the end, this restaurant has several deficiencies that they do not seem willing to resolve.

I liked the place. The only food similar to Argentina was the empanadas, but were really small for a $12.00 price point. The flan was really disappointing, they don't even put dulce de leche or cream on it, it tasted t like one bought at a supermarket, so dull and again $12.00 ?? The Milanese de pollo was really good but not close to Argentinian style, no fries no fried eggs included. My issue is that they use the Argentinian style label as a marketing tool and they are not even close. The price was ridiculously high for the experience.
