    Sparkler Mimosa's...very cool.

Came for brunch with some friends who were getting a special event. They were pretty busy but we had made reservations ahead so they got us to our table quickly. After waiting for a while we had to flag the hostess down to ask where our waitress was because she brought water then nothing for 15 minutes. After ordering, the food and drinks came out fairly quickly. However, my order was wrong. I ordered the Frittata and they brought out the strawberry French toast instead. Rather than see them waste food I said it was fine and I would eat it instead. The French toast was ok, way too heavy on the strawberry jam. Overall an ok experience but the staff might have been overwhelmed. Our server never even brought us another bottle of water after we finished ours.

My sister and I went to Mezzo for Pittsburgh Restaurant week. It was absolutely delicious and service was excellent. We enjoyed house salads as well as dessert, but I completely forgot to snap those pictures. It was my first time trying panna cotta and it did not disappoint! It was so good and loaded with caramel. I highly recommend it. I can't wait to go again to try more!

My boyfriend and I went to Mezzo for Valentine's Day and it was perfect! We were worried that we would be packed in like sardines like most restaurants for Valentine's Day - but that wasn't the case! It was busy but not chaotic. I ordered an espresso martini with cream and it was super tasty! They did mention that they were out of almost all of the wine on their wine list, which would have been a bummer if that was what I was looking forward to drinking. For an appetizer we got the peach and tomato burrata and it was phenomenal! If it was acceptable to drink the oil it was in - I probably would have it was garlicky and perfect with the sweetness of the peach! The pitas it came with were also delicious - I wish we got more than 2 though. For our main meal, I got gnocchi with shrimp and vodka sauce. The amount of food was unreal and I'll probably be eating it for days! It was super tasty even though gnocchi isn't normally my first choice. My boyfriend got a porkchop with polenta and said it was amazing and juicy. The menu was shorter and different than the usual, but they had great options! Overall, I highly recommend Mezzo for any special occasion (and in general!)

    Tiramisu was decadent yet light.

My partner and I had dinner at Mezzo before heading to the theater, and the evening couldn't have been better. From the start, our host Alyssa set the tone: professional, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. She even offered salt and Parmesan cheese at the table, but it wasn't needed since the flavors from the kitchen stood perfectly on their own. The atmosphere was buzzing in the best way, with exposed brick walls and vintage Pittsburgh character that gave the space warmth and energy. It felt lively but still comfortable enough to enjoy a relaxed conversation. We shared the Burrata to start, then ordered the Horseradish-Crusted Salmon and the Short Rib Pasta, with a Caprese Arugula Salad on the side. Each dish was balanced and flavorful without being too heavy, the perfect pacing for a pre-show dinner. We ended with tiramisu and a cup of coffee, both rich and flavorful, and together they made a sweet finish to the evening. Service was smooth, the timing was spot on, and the overall experience felt well thought out. Prices are what you'd expect in the Cultural District for a high-quality dinner, and worth it for the food and setting. I highly recommend Mezzo if you want an excellent Italian meal before a show. The atmosphere is lively, the service is thoughtful, and the dishes truly deliver.

Very good food, quick service, and tasty drinks! Our waitress was lovely and we felt well taken care of! Wasn't too busy on a Tuesday night. Portions were good, no leftovers!

I had a fun time dining at Mezzo. Mezzo is an Italian restaurant, which is located on the second floor of Sienna Mercato, a three-story complex of the same company that has an Italian-inspired establishment on each floor. Mezzo is a more traditional Italian restaurant, featuring wood-oven fire pizzas, pastas, small bites and cocktails. We had a reservation here, which I recommend making if you plan to dine on a Saturday night with a group. The dinner hour was pretty busy with groups. Located in downtown Pittsburgh, its location is walking distance to many other restaurants, bars, shops and lodging options. Our server was Daisy and she was awesome! Daisy was super friendly, checked in with us throughout our meal and made recommendations. I ended up just ordering an espresso martini and caesar salad, which were both solid. Everyone enjoyed their grub. It was a good time at Mezzo.

The only reason I am giving this restaurant a 2 star review is because their burrata appetizer was delicious. Other than this, I was in town with a group of girls for my friends bachelorette weekend, we chose to celebrate with a nice dinner at Mezzo. We were seated on time and greeted. We received drinks timely. After placing our order, our food took a very long time to come out and the restaurant was very hot causing many of the girls to take breaks in the bathroom because it was cooler. There were a group of 12 of us and we only received a water refill one time. After receiving our food, the waitress did not check on us once. Many of my friends told me that their food was almost tasteless. My seafood linguine dish was very bland, INSANELY spicy (which the menu reflected that there were red pepper flakes in the dish but this was an inedible amount of spice for a pasta), and the clams tasted like they were spoiled (sour). I am a HUGE foodie and love seafood and spice, but I could not even eat a bite without chugging water...which we did not have. The waitress came back to collect payments and saw that I had a full dish of food left and did not even ask if I enjoyed my food. I am a server and understand how important it is to check in with your guest and make sure it is everything they could want and more. She took my dish and left the table without returning or saying a word. I am not one to complain but was hoping the waitress would acknowledge my lack of consumption so that she could then tell the kitchen about my experience for future guests. Sadly, I will not be returning to this restaurant, a previous review showed mold on their cake and this experience turned me off to the establishment. I hope they can adjust their practices and provide better training to employees.

We had a great night here! I've enjoyed Il Tetto rooftop bar for years & so many times passed right by Mezzo. It's on the 2nd floor of Sienna Mercato & is kind of a hidden gem. Don't make the same mistake I did & get your booty in there. The atmosphere is cute & cozy. Their woodfired pizza is delicious. The sauce on the Margherita was perfect. I've also had their pasta & entrees on my last visit & everything I've tried from here has been a pleasant surprise! Yum. (So far the only thing I've tried here that I didn't love was one of the desserts.) They partner with area farms to get their ingredients and have a map of who they work with on the back of the menu - pretty cool! They have plenty of seating for couples all the way up to larger groups. Their team is great to work with and service has always been good The cocktail menu is good and switches up seasonally too. I started out with the Mezzo Mule - nice & refreshing with Limoncello, Basil & Ginger Beer. Also tried the Blueberry Shrub - Vodka, Blueberry, Lemon, & Rosemary. Perfect for warm weather. Disclaimer: I have done partner Instagram posts with this restaurant but all opinions in my reviews are my own.

I keep wanting it to be like Sienna in the Square (RIP), but it isn't. Service was ok. I was there with my mom. We let our server know that we were going to see a show. They were also having a party in the space, so I could tell he was a little stretched thin, but we still had a hard time finding someone when we wanted to order. Had the burrata - it was interesting. The entire dish, including roasted grapes were cold. I expected something warm or that it would come with bread, but that was an extra $6 if you wanted it. For the main meal we split the prosciutto and pear pizza and the Bolognese pasta. The pizza was cooked well and had a nice crust - it was good, but needed something more acidic. The pasta was also decent but nothing spectacular. Overall it is fine. It's a place I won't rush back to, but it also wasn't bad. I just keep comparing it to their sister restaurant and it just doesn't add up.

Great Italian apps and cocktails! It's on the second floor of Sienna Mercato, a nicer dining experience than Emporio below. I really liked their charcuterie board and the pizzas are always delicious.

Service is always good, on the second floor. They have different dinner specials. A nice little place right near the convention center.

Hard to pick a favorite, but I'd say my least favorite thing was the bacon-wrapped dates (I just don't eat dates very much). I was a little disappointed in the size of the empanadas, I'm used to eating bigger ones from other restaurants, but they were still very tasty! The food came out fast and was super fresh! Our main server Becca was funny, relatable, and really made this such a fun experience! She also treated us to the sangria chug (not sure if that's the official name but that's what I'm calling it lol). I liked the place. The only food similar to Argentina was the empanadas, but were really small for a $12.00 price point. The Milanese de pollo was really good but not close to Argentinian style, no fries no fried eggs included. My issue is that they use the Argentinian style label as a marketing tool and they are not even close. The price was ridiculously high for the experience.

On day two, I placed an order for a salad with a chicken skewer upcharge. Upon getting my order and opening the container, I saw that the skewer was not in there despite being charged $10 for it. The other items here at the restaurant were not good, and I do not recommend this as they don't want to make good quality food. Lobster ravioli is pretty dry and tough to chew. Tiramisu is missing that earthy coffee flavor. Chicken caprese says that it comes with fresh mozzarella, however, they only gave us small circle of cheese on one side of the sandwich (covers about 1/4 of the sandwich). Do not get the truffle fries, they are the exact same taste as the normal fries. Last, the crab and shrimp dip is highly inconsistent. The first day, it was good and actually had pieces of shrimp. The second day, zero shrimp. In the end, this restaurant has several deficiencies that they do not seem willing to resolve.
