Had been wanting to try Albero Verde for quite some time! Finally got around to it for a night out. BYOB, small quaint little place. The bread to start was just ok, a little on the dry side, but the other appetizers we tried knocked it out of the park!!! Shrimp risotto and brussel sprouts were delicious. For entrees my husband and I each got the bolognese and the tortellini and shared. I really enjoyed the bolognese and particularly the noodles cooked al dente. Tortellini was flavorful and good, but disappointed there were only four of them. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would love to try something different in the menu next time. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive.

This review is for my takeout experience at Albero Verde. I ordered takeout one evening. They were having a pasta special which included a side salad, spaghetti with a choice of sauce, garlic bread, and two cannoli. I placed my order online and headed to the restaurant. Albero Verde is very tiny and it is situated in a strip mall. It can be easy to miss. Even though the space is small, it's very open and bright which is nice. The kitchen is open so it is cool to see your food being prepared as you're waiting. The staff were nice and the takeout process was quick and efficient. I would like to try Albero Verde again but if I dine in, I will definitely make a reservation in advance.

Mid-Atlantic Restaurant located on Greentree Road. Serving dinner Wednesday through Saturday. This restaurant is BYOB. Chef/Family-owned restaurant with friendly service and delicious food. They truly take pride in each dish, and it shows. The menu is packed with tasty options. An Italian/Mid-Atlantic food vibe, giving you the ability to try some classics but explore new flavors. Greens and beans are out of this world! Caprese chicken is simple yet complex and perfect in every way! Small, intimate setting, creating a cozy atmosphere for dinner. Open kitchen concept-gives you that at-home feel. Grab your favorite bottle of wine and enjoy a truly incredible meal. Reservations are recommended but not required. Takeout is available, order via phone or easily, online. In addition to their amazing restaurant, they offer catering! Tons of options available for your next group function!

The Mother's Day brunch was really nice. Anthony and staff had a buffet with a wonderful assortment of food. The tiny French toast, the seafood and salads were all great. Also had an omelette with crab meat and some peppers. The waitress was so friendly and good. It appears there is a small issue with the online Toast reservation system but that was not an issue. Have really enjoyed the brunch and lunches, will have to stop in for dinner.

Okay, Pittsburgh, you MUST go to Albero Verde Restaurant (Scott Town Center)! If you are a foodie and someone looking for a fun and incredible food experience, then this is the place to go! The chefs and owner are talented! My sweet friend and I went here to unplug from momming for just 2 hours to enjoy good food and good conversation. We never expected it to be this over the top delicious! It was really and truly so incredibly delicious, and we are already planning our return with hubbies! P.S. We also loved that it is BYOB! Okay...now make yourselves hungry and go here asap!

I happen to see this place just opened so I stopped in. It is elegant, with white tablecloths, but I asked if I could just order a first a first course for a smaller dinner. They were encouraging and I was given a lovely table where I could see the chefs cooking. I adored the classic Italian beans & greens dish with their own sausage. Next time I will come back for risotto with a main course of the fish- branzino, and I will bring a bottle of wine. The service was lovely, descriptive, attentive, but not invasive. The chefs are highly experienced in very famous kitchens, but striking out on their own. This is a neighborhood jewel!

If so, you should be ashamed of yourselves. The shell tasted like a store bought brand and the topping were minimal to say the least. It also took nearly 30 minutes for one taco and there was only one guy ahead of us and two other people waiting and to be honest their orders took just as long as ours. Not acceptable! The vibe at the festival last year was great and yeah some of the lines were long, but they were all moving exceptionally fast except this one. The workers seemed very confused and overwhelmed. Yeah, the taco was fairly good, but the wait time for one taco was beyond frustrating. I hope if they are there again today at the festival they are serving better quality crumbles, better quality tortilla shells and more plentiful toppings.

This is what I like about Chip and Kale: Food is delicious. Ingredients seem fresh and the opposite of processed food. Price is reasonable and less per serving than other plans I have tried. No ongoing subscription. Food kits arrive frozen which gives me flexibility of what to make and when. The directions are simple and very clear. Even the ingredients are numbered. Minimal packaging. I have been washing and will reuse most of the ziplock bags. I will probably keep two of the totes for personal use and return the others to Chip and Kale. Stand alone deserts offered. Apple strudel looks delicious.

I came across this business & was impressed by the variety of items & stores covered and saw the many great reviews it had received. I talked to Lisa before placing the delivery because I had concerns about items being left outside of my mothers building or my mother, who is in a delicate state, having to carry heavy groceries to her apartment. Lisa assured me that she would not only bring them to her apartment, but help put them away! Wait, what? She not only delivered on that promise, but took a selfie with mom before she left, which made me all warm & fuzzy. Lisa goes above & beyond for her customers and loves what she does. Her service really gives me peace of mind, as my mother has been ripped off before by businesses that don't even so much as bring every item that was ordered & paid for. Thank you, Lisa, for all that you do. I will definitely be utilizing your service again.

Just like any other restaurant they have their advantages and disadvantages. It is nice that they are so close to the south side where I live. This one is small, but has a decent seating area. The lady at the counter had a gutter punk style with pink hair in pig tails, nose ring, t-shirt and camouflage pants. I liked her style, but she wasn't very friendly. There was no unsweetened tea so I asked for a cup of water, a request which she ignored. You will get your pizza, just don't expect any water. I guess you just have to die of thirst. I ordered a slice of white pizza with spinach/onions and a magherita slice. The crust is light, airy, crispy and nicely cooked. The only thing was I had to hold it up, or else the toppings would have flopped right off. The flavor is pretty good for both slices. I kind of wish they had more ricotta on the white pizza. I think there was less cheese on the slices, but as a result there was a lot less oil coming from the slices. Even when I looked at my plate I could see no oil stain remnants that you typically always get from most pizza. There was a definite char on one of the slices. I don't exactly love it to be charred really, but it didn't make the pizza taste horrible. Badamos is a good and unique restaurant. It is worth going at least once, or twice. Maybe bring some water with you, so you don't choke. I might have more to write a bit later when I have tried some more menu items. Cheers, have a great week,

After seeing posts online about this Farmers Market for quite some time, I finally made it out to…read morecheck it out this past summer! I stopped here around 1:30 PM on a Sunday in July for the second market of the season. The Carnegie Farmers Market is held right on E Main Street, and spans about a block or so. There is a parking lot on one side of the street, or there is plenty of street parking all around. Carnegie is relatively flat, so it is an easy walk to the market wherever you end up parking. Hours of the market are Sundays from Noon to 3:00 PM in July and August, and 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in September. When we visited, there was a good amount of patrons around, but it was not overwhelmingly crowded. Many patrons had their dogs, so they are definitely welcome to the fun. There are a healthy amount of vendors, as well as businesses that line the street which are also open during the event. On the day we visited, there were nearly 40 vendors, in addition to the businesses in the area. Vendors range from farms, food stands, hand-made gifts and goods, alcoholic drinks, local organizations, and much more. The beauty of a market like this is that they will change weekly! Some of my personal favorites from this particular market day were Cox Woodwork out of Aliquippa, and the Mexa food stand. I also enjoyed the live music playing. They bring in a different musician/musical group weekly, so that is also something to look forward to seeing differently each visit. All of the different vendors will have different pricing, but I did not think anything was extremely expensive or unreasonable. There are select vendors that accept Fresh Access and SNAP, which allows dollars to stretch even further than they normally would! We ended up spending over an hour in the area, between the vendors on E Main Street and the surrounding businesses that were open. Markets like these create such a fun atmosphere and promote community. It was fun to walk around, browse, and see all that the market and Carnegie had to offer. I look forward to being able to stop here again this upcoming summer! This is a great market that seems to be growing in both size and popularity each year. Be sure to check the updates that are posted on Facebook by "Carnegie Markets," as that is usually how I find out the latest information on this one!
