    Pickle Chips

We had a party of three and went on a Wednesday evening. The place has plenty of seating, and has a nice looking patio area. Biggest complaint is about the service. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks - two beers and one mixed drink (simply Tito's). My husband ended up ordering a second beer and it took about 15 minutes for that one. We got the fried pickle chips as an appetizer. Could have been crispier but weren't the worst. He got the salmon as his entree, I got the crab cakes. The rice that came on the side was very dry. The crab and salmon were good, and so were the sweet carrots. We also ordered their special brown butter cake as the waitress said it was very good. It was delicious and helped save this review. The inside was soft and the outside had a sweet and sugary crust. It was topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel. Very rich and delicious! This place might be great if you're just going to sit at the bar, although it's hard to tell.

Pros: I like the location, atmosphere (like an at-home type feel meets sports bar), roomier than it looks from the outside, parking is convenient and good for conversation for our group of 5 (at least they liked their food). Cons: I wasn't a big fan of the wait staff as they weren't very welcoming or friendly (waitress particularly didn't seem to be people-person, seemed flat). I got the crab cakes, rice and green beans $24.99 - it would be a fair price if it weren't so tasteless (none of it had any flavor) and VERY dry rice & crab cakes (did not taste like crab cakes).

The best bartender ever ! Shawna .. is amazing !! What a wonderful night ! She's amazing!

Mom's Smothered Chicken. Not dry had a nice mixture of mushrooms, bacon, and cheese. The 3 potatoes were undercooked and very bland. The asparagus was also nicely cooked but also bland. Solid burger. Minimal seasoning. It is just a burger. Overall the food was kind of bleh. Solid drinks and nice service from the female bartender that doubled as our hostess. Our waitress was training a new employee clearly not happy about. Service wasn't the greatest. The place was very clean and open. Smelled nice from the fresh basil plants that were perched jn the open area/ out door seating area. Four outa ten probably won't go again.

This family restaurant is a few minutes away from the Roxian Theater so we decided to check it out before a show. We arrived around 5:30 and were seated right away. Shortly after that, there was a wait and a long line. The service was excellent on a very busy night. They have a decent beer selection on tap and the food came out pretty fast. We ordered the fish tacos and the reuben. The tacos were sort of skimpy on filling to be honest and the fish was not well seasoned. They forgot the cabbage filling entirely and we had to ask for it after they brought them. The reuben was pretty good but really needed more corned beef for the $14 price tag. This place really packs them in on Saturday nights. We sat in the bar area and could see all of the families coming in with big parties. They run a tight ship and get the orders in quickly and efficiently. We enjoyed our visit but would probably order something different.

We loved Carmody's! This place is super cute! We sat outside because it was a beautiful day but it had a sheltered patio incase it did happen to rain! The waitress was amazing! Super kind & had great recommendations! Everyone around us had the fried zucchini so we had to order & it did not disappoint! The breading was so thin & flaky! We also ordered the special of angel hair with crab meat, unfortunately this was super bland, but still good quality food! The wings were pretty good & decently priced! We will definitely be returning soon to try more food!

Enjoyed the zucchini. Service was good. Just a bar. Nothing special about the bar not even the zucchini.

Really tired menu. One can eat only so many French dips. This place really needs a new chef with some creativity and skill.

It's a good thing we did, because this is a busy place, and with the cold weather this week the patio was closed, reducing their seating capacity quite a bit. Anyway, were seated quickly, and our waiter was fast and efficient. The bread and dipping oil were a nice start, and then we ordered a couple of apps. The watermelon with feta was very nice, as was the lump crab cake. For mains my wife had the sea bass of the regular menu, and I had the parrot fish special. Both were really fantastic and well presented. I also noted that the fish portion sizes were very generous - something you don't see at most other area seafood restaurants. Both were fresh and quite tasty. Since everything else had been so good, we went ahead and ordered desert. My wife went with the chocolate mouse cake, and I had the limoncello cake. Again, both were fantastic. Two apps, two mains, two deserts, two glasses of wine, and one bar cocktail came to just under $200 before tip. Considering the quality and experience, I think that is more than fair. The only negatives that I can mention were that the seating was a bit tight and crowded, and the room we were in was subject to a lot of noise from the kitchen. I think we'll go back when the patio is open and give that a try. Either way, Andora is a solid 5!

We were promptly seated. After being seated our waitress kind of disappeared. She eventually reappeared, but it is obvious regulars are favored here. I ordered one of the specials (pot roast) and it was supposedly sold out, 90 minutes after the on sale. Minimal to no check ins. My wife had a fish sandwich and had to ditch her soggy bun midway through. I'm in no rush to return. Portion for the pot roast was beyond lackluster. Atmosphere was average at best. Our cocktails were subdued but very tasty. First we were served a pea soup shooter--we all wanted a whole bowl. Then a couple of appetizers--the 'compressed pineapple' with frisse was interesting with a flavorful dressing, but not too sweet. I got the special, seared tuna with a shrimp over udon noodles and a Hoisin sauce with some sort of wasabi. Again, the flavors were unique but not overpowering. Also got the chicken with couscous and peas. Sounds plain but it was anything but plain. The other mains were just as good. We finished off with three desserts. The carrot cake got rave reviews from my dining partners (not my style). The Creme Brulle was very large and perfectly cooked. But the best dessert was the deconstructed Smore. The chocolate, the merengue, the graham crumbs, a little ice cream. Oh, I'm going to be dreaming of this dessert for a long time! The price is also quite high for pittsburgh standards--over 100/person--but well worth it for a special occasion!

Our waitress performed her job well. Here is what we ate: Crab rangoon nachos - 4 stars - Wonton chips were covered in sweet chili glaze, large chunks of imitation crab meat (which my husband liked), green onion, and black sesame seeds. Apricot bourbon salmon - 4 stars - The salmon was cooked nicely and was juicy and flavorful. For sides, the mixed vegetables had a bit too much oil, and the brussels sprouts could use more flavor.
