Our waitress stopped by for drink orders and offered her favorite foods when we asked her for some recommendations. The draft beer was cold and fresh and the BBQ bacon burger was really tasty, with delicious beef and thicker cut crispy bacon. The fries were on the thinner side and good but not as crisp as I like them. I also really enjoyed the French Onion soup in a crock with lots of melted cheese on top and the broth wasn't too salty. I was pleasantly surprised at the new look. The last time I was there, I felt it had an open bright school cafeteria appeal to it. Now , I was impressed with a softer, darker atmosphere. We sat on the bar side. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. They had a nice menu and the food was delicious. It was crowded, but, we did not feel rushed or ignored. We live around the corner & have never tried out Clark's. I subconsciously remembered the sign for breakfast & spontaneously decided to check the place out. We were surprised how empty it was on a Sunday at 11:00 despite having a breakfast menu. A bunch of folks did enter at the same time, and I could tell that the service was overwhelmed. We were waiting a while for our food, 3 simple items--Caesar salad, french onion soup & a chicken sandwich. The French onion soup was bland-- I was surprised how unsalty it was. The salad was just romaine with croutons & some shaved cheese on top. And the sandwich was bland as well. Between the poor service, which could have been a one-off, and bland food, this isn't a place that I would recommend. I will give it another chance one day, and will update my review then. read more

We got there for Happy Hour and all draft were 1/2 off. Good selection of draft beers. The redesigned layout is very conducive for a sports bar. At 5:30 it was packed when we left there were people waiting. We got the provolone sticks and demolished them. My wife got the shrimp tacos and I got the fried Chx sandwich both are recommended. This place has really improved through recent remodels/changes. I love the bar area with lots of big TVs to watch sports. They have a large menu with plenty of options and are also cost effective. Prime rib over Christmas was very good. My only "complaint" is it could've been a bit hotter. They were pleasant when I asked for it to be reheated, which meant putting on the grill as they "have no microwave" (yay!). Mashed potatoes were very well flavored and hot. I send mashed back to be heated 4/5 times when we eat out, but these were perfect. Swapped asparagus for side salad, which was generous and better than the avg side salad. The food is consistently very good as we have been here several times. Service is decent. Ambiance is laid back. The bar has plenty of seating, and a back room for quieter dining. read more

The spaces are nicely designed creating a great atmosphere. I love the kitschy vintage decor pieces and the beautiful wine wall display. The bar area features many tvs for sports, but it wasn't too loud or rowdy. The menu features classic American food everything from flatbreads & tacos, to pasta, and even some nice seafood dishes like a salmon salad. The drink menu is huge, with plenty of seasonal cocktails, and a surprisingly nice wine an liquor selection. Everything we ordered was delicious! I'm obsessed with the french fries with herbs & sea salt. I'd also recommend the cauliflower appetizer. It's fried cauliflower topped with a sweet & spicy sauce with delicious Asian inspired flavors. With all this indulgent deliciousness, I'm thankful that kitchen was able to wrap my burger in lettuce. The restaurant was almost completely full when we visited. The staff was really friendly and service was attentive. Our appetizer and main meal came out quickly and as ordered. I'm so happy that we have a spot like this in the neighborhood! On a Friday late afternoon/early evening, my husband and I ate dinner here. A seating host immediately greeted us and walked us to a booth. A bar area was also available. My bench was a little dirty from a previous customer's food. Soon the waitress introduced herself and took our order for drinks and foods. Throughout the service, the waitress spoke very nicely to us, and she checked in with us multiple times. Here are my reviews for the individual foods: French onion soup - 3 stars - This soup tasted very mild compared to other restaurant's soups. My husband did not want to eat it, so I ate it. Artichoke dip - 3 stars - This artichoke dip was accompanied by pita and tortilla chips. It tasted fine. Shrimp tacos - 3 stars - These flour tortilla tacos contained marinated shrimp, pineapple and poblano salsa, and chipotle aioli. The sauce tasted a little too strong. On the side were homemade potato chips. Chicken parmesan sandwich - 3 stars - My husband described this sandwich as "OK" and "bland," and he said that it "did not taste like anything" and was "a little on the soggy side." Fantastic new addition to the neighborhood! Being that Clark's is located in the Target parking lot, I was unsure what to expect. But from the moment we walked in the door, we were impressed by the comfortable local bar feel. We had the spinach and artichoke dip to start, which was one of the best I've had. My wife had the French burger and I had the Steak Sandwich. Both were incredible. Despite the bar feel, it was still accommodating for our toddler, who ordered the quesadilla but didn't eat much despite friendly encouragement from the staff. Avocado was nice and fresh not rancid at all (something to turn after sitting around for awhile). And the carne asada tacos were good. We asked for the fries without the rosemary this time and really enjoyed them. The background music was varied and the TVs were at a nice volume with several Sports channels on. I came here with a friend for dinner on a Friday night and it was packed! Luckily we came around 8, which was when the dinner crowd was starting to die down, so we were actually seated right away. I have heard from several people that it gets really packed for dinner, so u would recommend either coming earlier or later if you don't want to wait. We weren't too hungry, so we just ordered a salad an a couple appetizers. The service was good and the food was fresh. The fried cauliflower was great, the house salad was fresh and as expected. We also got the fried ravioli special - it was okay. It was hot and fresh though. I'll definitely come here again for drinks, and for dinner again when I'm more hungry. Our lunch at Clark's today was interesting and enjoyable. The place was full of large tables of loud old ladies exchanging gifts. We were greeted promptly by our server who efficiently delivered our Deluxe BLTs with shoestring fries and fruit salad. The food was very good, probably better than the grilled cheese with chips that we actually ordered. The menu is pretty broad, with several appetizers, numerous sandwiches, soups and salads, and a handful of entrees. I'd call it upscale bar food, if there is such a thing. The wine list was pretty attractive, although we didn't make a selection. The decor was modern barroom, nothing especially notable. Prices matched the menu and decor. We'll likely return, maybe even for dinner, but there's nothing compelling a quick visit. read more

I visited for the 1st time on 5/14/2025 for a late Mother's Day dinner with my son. 1st I will say, the food was amazing, kudos to the chef because I would have loved to have eaten there again but due to the service, I never will. Our waiter took our order, no issue. Food came and we never saw him again. I sat with an empty water glass for 1/2 my meal, he never came over and checked on us. We finished eating at 5:12pm and FINALLY got our check at 5:45pm. There was a waitress in the dining area that was waiting on all the other tables that had customers (6 tables) except ours, but never once came over to us. I waved to her 2 times, said excuse me to her 2 other times when she was at the table next to me but she completely ignored us. At 530pm, I got up and asked the busboy if he could please get someone as I would like my check and a to-go box. About 10 minutes later the waitress very rudely came over and said what do you want in a condescending tone. I said I would like a to-go box and my check. She said, "I will have to find your server". She brought me a to-go box, and our waiter showed up another 5 minutes later. The guy at the table next to us came over and said I think you lost your waiter, and HE apologized for what we were experiencing and said that the waitress was very rude to us. The waitress should be fired, she was awful, rude and ignorant. I should've walked out and not paid for the meal since no one was concerned about giving me a check. My son wanted us to walk out without paying but I couldn't do it. Hindsight, I should've just put money on the table and left and hoped it was enough. I have never seen or experienced such bad service or such an ignorant waitress in my life. Honestly the food was amazing but not worth the aggravation of the poor service! read more

We had our first visit to Clark's last week. It was a Thursday and I think our server was Mickey, or Nikki? She did a fine job serving us. Took our orders promptly, kept our drinks full, checked on us enough but not too much. Very straightforward, good service. We were seated in the dining room on the right side of the building. It's a fairly small space - the bar side is much larger. We liked being away from the noise and the activity and found the dining room to be pleasant and bustling. The table was set up with a tray of things we might need like condiments, sweeteners and most appreciatedly, extra napkins. I like not having to ask! The food was okay. The fries, as discussed in other reviews were really good! Shoestring cut, crispy and well seasoned, and they came in a nice basket with a liner. The sandwiches we had were just adequate. Large portions of bread with minimal filling. The steak sandwich I had wasn't as flavorful as I'd hoped it would be and I'd have rather had the steak be cut so that it was less like dog food chunks and more like a cheese steak. The amount of steak was inadequate for the price of the sandwich ($16? iirc). The BLT my companion had was good enough for a BLT, but again the bread was more thick cut than it needed to be. We prefer to taste the sandwich contents more than the bread. The overall impression was that the sandwiches were bland and dry. I'm sure we'll try Clark's again at some point, hoping that some of the other menu choices are more to our liking. The rest of the experience was quite good! read more

I was a regular at the old J Clark's, which this took over. The place does look brand new and very clean. The menu is a lot more fancy and more expensive. It used to be more of a family style restaurant with a bar, but now they are trying to appeal to younger people. The wings are still good and basically unchanged. They are definitely up there with the North Park Lonuge and Monte Cello's for the best wings in North Hills. However, they are $3-$5 more expensive than they used to be and the days of $0.25 wing nights like at the old J Clarks are long gone. The burger was very good with juicy bacon, though I do remember liking the old burger more. The fries not only have salt on them, but have basically clumps of salt on them. I would really recommend asking for fries without salt as they were too salty even for a salt lover like myself. They sadly got rid of the pretzels, which I used to like. This restaurant was fantastic! My boyfriend and I went for my birthday and the food was excellent. He had the French onion soup, which came out piping hot and delicious. He then had a burger and chips. I had a side salad with balsamic dressing and a the limoncello chicken pasta special that night. The service was also excellent. They have a gigantic TV that covers the entire wall in the bar area. This place would be an excellent choice to watch a Steelers game! We will be back. read more

Went for a late lunch Tuesday afternoon at 3 The restaurant was very nice as was the waitress. The food not so much. It was all edible. My sister ordered the roasted red pepper soup which was good. She then got a spinach and arugula salad w bureaus burst tomatoes and d crostini w dressing on the side. It was terribly under seasoned there was no arugula, the bureaus was dry and there was no crostini. The burst tomatoes were 5 maybe cooked cold cherry tomatoes. I would rate it a ZERO. I got the limoncello chicken sandwich w house made chips. The chips were great. The chicken was really dry and the bread may not have been fresh. It was a 2. I will not return. Wendy's is just down the street No drinks. Our bill was $35 It would have been a better choice at 1/3 the price read more

My partner had the pork shop special and I had the French burger both were amazing. Tony the bartender was soooo good at what he does. Poured in your line of sight and made a really good drink.
