    Hummus
    John F.

This review is based purely on food, as we used Grubhub, due to having a newborn. Our meal was delicious!! We got the hummus platter, and it came with a plentiful amount of fresh veggies and delicious pita. The pita was salty (in a good way) and so tasty, and the hummus was made perfectly. I loved my salmon Mediterranean salad. It was loaded with different flavors from olives, onion, feta, tomato, peppers, and the delicious salmon. My wife loved her flat bread, and the bite I had was delightful. I can't wait to go to the restaurant and eat some of these dishes again! My wife and I were really happy with our meals.

Our server was attentive and the food is good....but this place just isn't worth what you have to pay. Pub fries are good, but not $14.75 good.....they are French fries with cheese, bacon, and ranch! Again, the hoagie was good....but probably no better than from a local sub shop and it's more expensive. Same holds true for the flatbread....there are equivalent pizzas at lower prices all around.

This place is so cute and such a good time. The service was great, every cocktail I ordered was delicious and memorable. The food was impeccable. Everyone around us was enjoying themselves and having a great time. It's a place you just want to go back to over and over again.

Ordered a whole sandwich, got a bun with mustard. Online ordering is a mess. Who thinks that's okay?

Short answer: Perfect We have hosted two family birthday parties here, two of (I hope) many to come! There is an inside space and two outdoor spaces that are absolutely perfect for a private party. We chose the indoor area with a guest list of 20; we could've easily had a dozen more people that space. in addition to the simple yet contemporary, atmosphere, the staff is top-notch. Danny could not have been more accommodating, patient, and easy to work with. On the day of the party, everything was efficient, timely, and the servers were so professional and nice !!! The value/price point is absolutely on point; the food is excellent!

Came to Magnolia and Pine for lunch with coworkers. The place was hopping at lunchtime, but the bar was pretty open, so we sat at the bar! We ordered a couple lunch burgers and the grilled cheese. Everything was good, the service was friendly and helpful as well! I also heard they have live music on the evenings/weekends.

Special place, great cocktails, apps, entres, and dessert too. Enjoyed a birthday dinner here at the beginning of the month. Definitely recommend it and will be back. Our server was so good. She took great care of us and helped me to make a few smart choices since I'm avoiding carbs. She answered a few questions and made great suggestions, most of which I took. Great service and comfortable atmosphere added to our happy visit. I loved the lights on the deck and the fire table in the back lower area. It would be a nice place to meet a few friends and have some wine with the charcuterie plate. That's what I'll order next time!

Magnolia and Pine was absolutely delicious. The pasta was to die for, I ate every last bite. It was the perfect portion. My husband said the calamari was okay. We sat at the bar and food came quickly. The decor in there is gorgeous. Can't wait to get back to sit outside!

Chicken piccata - I don't know why it's a creamy sauce, I've never seen it done that way

I was looking forward to trying it as we really missed Pines Tavern and don't like chain restaurants. But wow were we disappointed Yelp for sure did us dirty on this one the reviews were good but I can imagine why, none of us liked our dinner. I had chicken piccata which oddly has a creamy sauce, the fried potatoes had butter and grease ladled over them and it drowned the entire plate and made it soggy and inedible. I did tell the waitress and all she said was next time let me know. Didn't discount or offer free dessert or anything. The chicken parm was not a traditional cutlet but it was battered and fried in a fish fry batter and it tasted like it, in addition the sauce and cheese made the fry batter soggy also really inedible. My husband ate his steak but said he would not order it again. His plate was also swimming in grease. We did order dessert because 2 of us didn't eat our meals and it was very good. But we left $250 poorer and very disappointed. Will not be back.

First of all you just feel welcome when you walk in the door. There is lots of bar sitting, along with some booths and even a couch. We usually grab some seats at the bar. There are frequently events going on and a wide range as well. Some events are ticketed, sometimes there is a cover and sometimes no charge. The artwork is great and all the fun photographs and sayings. Every time I'm there I spot something new. There is even a gumball machine with poetry in it. How cool. Most often we have gone for live music. This time we were in the area and just wanted to grab a drink. They did have a DJ though which was fun. It was also a great choice because they stay open late when so many local places close early. They do have a limited food menu but I have never eaten there. They have a variety of drinks ranging from non alcoholic to beer or wine, even cider. The cocktail menu is where it's at though. There are so many choices and some unique combinations. It's been fun trying so many. I think my favorite drink on the menu is Galeophobia which comes in a fun shark glass. It's fruity without being too sweet and the macadamia liquor adds just the right amount of nuttiness in the background. I seriously could drink several of them. The Spork House Punch is another favorite. Immediately *pinkies up* with the fancy little crystal mug. The pear and lemon gives such great flavor and it's well balanced and an easy drinker. It also feels like a good value with the amount you get. This time my fiancé tried Elvis' death and loved the toilet mug. He said it was tasty but a bit expensive for what it was so he probably wouldn't order it again. Fun bartenders, great drinks, good atmosphere, enjoyable entertainment.. what's not to love?

Simplistic, covered parking with a large parking structure attached to the restaurant. Elegance encapsulated with the high ceilings, modern fixtures, and classy atmosphere. The food is next level. With so many awesome small plate options, we decided to get drinks and share in the opportunities. This may be of benefit, as Palm Palm brings out food when it is ready instead of waiting to serve a full course to a party. Let's review the small plates: - Roasted Broccoli Caesar - roasted tender and perfectly coated with the brioche and parm - Focaccia Bread Board - fluffy, salty focaccia with somewhat simplistic board options of butters and jam - Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup Dumplings - easily our favorite bite!! Served in a spoon with creamy soup floating a perfectly filled dumpling of cheese goodness - Truffle Spaghettios - hello childhood, you missed the mark. These spaghettios may have you thinking nostalgia but the flavors are stellar. - Mini Lobster Rolls - chilled, copious lobster on a buttery crisp roll... shhhh they brought us a second one for free!!! - Waygu Meatballs - the plating is top notch. Little meatball holders to allow the French onion to soak in and the cheesy to perfectly melt across them all. Melt in your mouth meatballs with seasoning to make your want another! - Classic Oysters - a nice starter for the birthday boy! For drinks, we loved their homemade sodas - Lemon Ginger, Strawberry Passion Fruit, & Sunset Fire added the perfect sip between bites! And of courseeeee... you need desserts! Why not turn them into shareable small plates too!! - The Orange - levels of orange flavor perfectly paired together with sweetness to enhance the palate and enjoy! - Dark Desire - rich, dark chocolates with flairs of chocolate work. So goooood!! - Key Lime Pie - wooowww citrus overload. But so moist and yummy. Our waitress was phenomenal. Giving great suggestions, ensuring we always had dishes cleared and glasses filled... and even telling us menu changes that made some dishes not worth it anymore. Wow!! This is celebration station too! With the sparkler extraordinaire almost every table was celebrating someone or something while we were there. It's no surprise that this place is, was, and will be a trendy spot in Pittsburgh!!
