Good time at Magnolia & Pine. I got the Korean bbq short rib sandwich. This was ok. Wasn't amazing but I still ate it. I'd probably try the Cuban next time because that looked good. Cesar salad was good, could have used a bit more dressing but that's just me. Clam chowder was tasty. Drinks were nice, I enjoyed their old fashioned. Service was top tier. The gentleman who waited on our party of 10 was excellent. Food and drinks came out quick as well. Overall, the food didn't blow me away, but I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. Wouldn't mind stopping back in for another meal soon. read more

Haven't been here to dine since a mad experience on Mother's Day over 12 years ago when it was The Pines Tavern... not too busy for a sunny Sunday....stopped for a bite after a hard afternoon of antiquing ...split a burger and fries with a gal pal....shared soup and salad and of course...adult beverages (we didn't share those)...interior was well lit....clean....waitstaff was very attentive and the food was pretty decent....bathroom was well lit and immaculate.... Would definitely try this hidden gem again.... read more

I stopped by with a large group of friends. With the rain we stayed in versus enjoying the outdoor space, I loved the signature cocktail the magnolia cosmo. The pulled pork sandwich was fantastic and the fries were crisp from the fryer. I was equally impressed the service. The wait time was short for the items I ordered. read more

Compared to restaurants in the same strata, I'm going to give 4 stars. It was good. Ambiance was amazing. Flatbread was above average, as was Chicken Piccata. Keylime pie trifle was also very good. Disappointed to not see a second steak option. Server was wonderful. read more

We went to Magnolia & Pine for lunch, and it was a wonderful experience. It wasn't busy at all, with plenty of seating available, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. The French onion soup was superb--truly one of the best I've ever had. My husband ordered the mussels as his lunch, and they were excellent. I had the Reuben sandwich, and it was the ultimate--perfectly made and full of flavor. While the drinks were pricey, the quality of the food made up for it. We would love to go back in the summer and sit out on their patio. read more

Several visits across more than a year. Large back patio. Garage doors open up on two sides in nice weather. Big open bar. Nice physical plant. Front of house team is friendly. Kitchen is solid if not terribly inspired. - Provolone wedges are delicious. Served with a delicious cold tomato bruschetta and dressed with a very light balsamic - The Cubano is made with pulled pork. Fantastic sandwich, but not really a classic cubano. - Chicken quesadilla is excellent. - Wings are serviceable, but nothing to write home about. - Friday fish sandwich: Battered. Large. Food service? OK sandwich but unremarkable. The cheese was kind of fun in a horrible way. - The French onion soup is fine. The onions are sautéed, but not caramelized. I think the stock probably comes from a box. A member of our group seems more impressed with the soup than me. - A member of our group loves the blue cheese dressing. - The chicken piccata is solid. This is where you take your mom for lunch if you're out in the North Hills, or perhaps where you hang out on a nice night if you live out there. Restaurant density starts to get fairly low out here so options become limited unless you want to drive. read more

Good food and good service. Drinks are good as well. Pretty cute place to visit sometimes!

This place is a hidden gem in Gibsonia. It's really cute inside and cozy outside when the weather is nice. Our server was very friendly and provided recommendations as it was our first time. I ended up getting the buffalo chicken flatbread which was really good. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a nice place for date night or a night out with friends/family. read more

This review is based purely on food, as we used Grubhub, due to having a newborn. Our meal was delicious!! We got the hummus platter, and it came with a plentiful amount of fresh veggies and delicious pita. The pita was salty (in a good way) and so tasty, and the hummus was made perfectly. I loved my salmon Mediterranean salad. It was loaded with different flavors from olives, onion, feta, tomato, peppers, and the delicious salmon. My wife loved her flat bread, and the bite I had was delightful. I can't wait to go to the restaurant and eat some of these dishes again! My wife and I were really happy with our meals. read more

Our server was attentive and the food is good....but this place just isn't worth what you have to pay. Pub fries are good, but not $14.75 good.....they are French fries with cheese, bacon, and ranch! Again, the hoagie was good....but probably no better than from a local sub shop and it's more expensive. Same holds true for the flatbread....there are equivalent pizzas at lower prices all around. read more

I like Cenci's but I'm not in my twenties so tried a more age appropriate magnolia pines on a Friday night at 8:30. I ordered a salad with no onion and chicken pasta. First, the silverware was dirty. Second, I got onion on my salad. Third, the pasta looked and tasted like it was a kids meal. Only 6 people at the bar and still bad service. Cenci's would have 60 at the bar and still provide good service and food. Don't understand this place. Good luck. read more

Finally got around to trying this nearby spot that has been operating for a few years now. Stopped in on a rainy Saturday evening and were able to get a table easily. We're told that normally reservations were recommended on Fri and Sat nights. The spacious outdoor patio was closed due to the rain but looks like a great space if the weather is nice. There is a large bar and dining area inside. Chris, our sever was friendly and attentive and gave us some great suggestions. Started with the shrimp and calamari appetizer which was tasty. For entrees we had the new Lobster pasta and also the Tuscan chicken. It is easy to see why this is a favorite dish as the sauce was delicious and the chicken juicy with a delicate breading. All our food was served quickly, hot and fresh from the kitchen. Looking forward to our next visit when we can take advantage of the outside area. read more

What a cool place. The view out the back of the restaurant is beautiful The patio is not open just yet but you can still get a view. I had the chicken parm sandwich. It was really good. The wine list is also nice. Our wives shared a bottle that was reasonably priced. Although they were very busy the food came very quickly. Highly recommend this place if you have not been there yet read more

I celebrated my baby shower at Magnolia and Pine. There were 35 people in attendance in the front area and it was perfect! The food, the service, the space, I couldn't be happier. I really appreciated working with Danny and Kim in planning my shower. They were incredibly accommodating and wanted to make sure the day was everything I wanted it to be. Kim made special cocktails and mocktails for me. When I met with Danny, he shared his recommendations on food and how much to order without having an abundance or waste. I will absolutely host my next event at M&P. It truly was a perfect space, staff so kind and helpful and the food was amazing. Couldn't be happier! thank you M&P staff!!!! read more

Short answer: Perfect We have hosted two family birthday parties here, two of (I hope) many to come! There is an inside space and two outdoor spaces that are absolutely perfect for a private party. We chose the indoor area with a guest list of 20; we could've easily had a dozen more people that space. in addition to the simple yet contemporary, atmosphere, the staff is top-notch. Danny could not have been more accommodating, patient, and easy to work with. On the day of the party, everything was efficient, timely, and the servers were so professional and nice !!! The value/price point is absolutely on point; the food is excellent! read more

Special place, great cocktails, apps, entres, and dessert too. Enjoyed a birthday dinner here at the beginning of the month. Definitely recommend it and will be back. Our server was so good. She took great care of us and helped me to make a few smart choices since I'm avoiding carbs. She answered a few questions and made great suggestions, most of which I took. Great service and comfortable atmosphere added to our happy visit. I loved the lights on the deck and the fire table in the back lower area. Service was fine. Food so below average. Nachos were not good. Pulled pork needed pulled! Cheese was not good. Pretzel sticks were ones you could buy at grocery store for about 4 bucks. Charged 15 for four pretzel sticks. Cheese sauce looked like curd! Very overpriced restaurant with poor food. Shame as atmosphere could be great. No one was there when we were. About 15 customers total. read more

Very pricey. Atmosphere only so so. Seated at a table near the door out in the open; might have been better seating if we'd been regulars. Food was average. read more

The quality of the food has definitely improved. Yes it is pricey, but it's the only game in town and the ambiance is nice. Sadly, the cheapskate nature of their management leaves a lot to be desired and cost them a regular. We came in for dinner tonight and when my son bit into one of his chicken strips, he spit it out. the bottom of one chicken strip was covered in white, creamy sauce while the other was dry. My wife poked around her caesar salad and found bits of fried chicken breading. Smelled the chicken and yep, caesar dressing all over it. I pointed it out to our super sweet waitress who immediately said she would take care of it. She came back some time later looking embarrassed and said "I asked the manager if we could take this off your bill and he said no, that the chicken always comes like that." What a cheap, lying sack of shit for management. $148 for three people, one being a kid. Regular patrons who spend a lot of money there and this dumbass loses out on a regular because he's too cheap and dumb to comp an obvious kitchen error. Never going back. read more

First time here. Came right when they opened. Food was great. French onion soup was full of bread, onions, and perfectly crisped cheese. Broth was very good. He got the chicken wraps. Really enjoyed them. I thought the peanut sauce was a little too sweet. I got the Cobb salad. It was good. I'm an Italian dressing snob. Love a good homemade Italian dressing. (All their dressings are homemade) but the Italian was a little sharp for me. Too much vinegar for me. The service was great. She was very attentive on our drinks. Loved my Bloody Mary. Not too Spicy and had a VERY slight smoke taste. I would definitely order one again. Two meals, soup, and drink were $65. Not bad for quality food. read more

I was looking forward to trying it as we really missed Pines Tavern and don't like chain restaurants. But wow were we disappointed Yelp for sure did us dirty on this one the reviews were good but I can imagine why, none of us liked our dinner. I had chicken piccata which oddly has a creamy sauce, the fried potatoes had butter and grease ladled over them and it drowned the entire plate and made it soggy and inedible. I did tell the waitress and all she said was next time let me know. Didn't discount or offer free dessert or anything. The chicken parm was not a traditional cutlet but it was battered and fried in a fish fry batter and it tasted like it, in addition the sauce and cheese made the fry batter soggy also really inedible. My husband ate his steak but said he would not order it again. His plate was also swimming in grease. We did order dessert because 2 of us didn't eat our meals and it was very good. But we left $250 poorer and very disappointed. Will not be back. read more

Just average. Overpriced food and beer. Very small portions. Nice ambiance but the decor doesn't really match the menu.

The place looks on the inside. The service was quick and friendly. The French Onion Soup was delicious. My friends and I will be back again.

Lots of potential! My husband and I live less than 10 minutes away, so we love the idea of a great restaurant in this spot. It is still only weeks from opening, so the reservations I have are with that in mind. Ambience: 4.5/5 I knocked off a half star for this because while it's very pretty and welcoming, it honestly looks like every other restaurant these days. Nothing unique or interesting, but very clean and obviously brand-new. We are most excited about the outside areas that look like they'll be great in warmer months. Service: 5/5 We decided to try this last-minute on the Friday before Valentine's Day. I think we were late enough to catch them at the end of their dinner rush, so we were able to get a table right away. Service was great and efficient. Drinks: 3.5/5 My husband got a beer on tap, but I got a Valentine's special cocktail, a raspberry old fashioned. An old fashioned is my drink of choice, and this one was just ok. It was pretty small even for cocktail standards, and not very strong at all. Granted, I think they used Bulleit, but there didn't seem to be much of it. For $14 I expect better. Food: 4/5 We ordered the pub pretzels appetizer and both loved them, especially the spicy honey mustard. My husband got the steak sandwich & fries and raved about both. I ordered chicken piccata and subbed Brussels sprouts for the grilled asparagus. The chicken was great. Two nice-sized pieces, flavorful, all-around great. The roasted potatoes that came with it had great flavor but were way too heavy on the salt in my opinion. My husband loved them. The sprouts were a disappointment, especially since they're another favorite of mine. They were overcooked (roasted) and must have been swimming in butter, oil, or both before cooking with how greasy they were. I don't really expect vegetables to truly be "healthy" at restaurants, but I don't want them to be so covered in butter, oil, or salt that I can't enjoy eating them either. Overall, those are small complaints and we're looking forward to trying them again as they continue to build their business. read more

Service was way below par and the food was below average. I've given this restaurant 3 tries and it seems to get worse. Atmosphere, bat and decor is lovely but the inside area is unusually loud. I won't be back. Tired of paying For bad service & food. I won't be back. read more

This is fairly new place it needs to grow up a bit. It is trying to be more without enough experience and quality to be more. Overall the experience was not terrible. The cost to value isn't there yet and may never be. It is overly noisy and hard to have conversations in the dining area. Will have to give them a few weeks before we think about trying them again. Bar area looks great but the noise floods the regular dining area. Staff was great. Food came out quickly. Name is great. Big negative is they charge you a fee to use a credit card and they do not have coin change if you use cash (per our waitress). On a $283 bill the extra charge was $11.35 (4.28% (2.7% less than the state tax)) . If you are going to charge the fee make sure patron's know you are going to do it. Don't sneak the charge in as a line item on the bill. Charcuterie Board - Really nice. Maybe add some breads and fruit. A little small for $25 but good tasting. French Onion Soup - Excellent. Not super beefy like a traditional FOS but a good taste that is herby. Steak Sandwich - Dry. Steak was very tender cut in approx 1x1/2x4 inch strips rather than thinly sliced. Needs more onions and peppers. Cheese quickly got hard. Bun was big and bready. Fries - Perfect. Lose the basket. Teriyaki Glazed Salmon - Cauliflower fried rice and Brussel sprouts were good. Salmon was just ok. Grilled Fillet - Over cooked outside under cooked inside. Was slightly over rare rather than medium. Need to have some instant thermometers to check temp. Sweet potato mash needs to note it has bacon in it. Grilled portabella caps - Just ok. Half Pound Magnolia Smash Burger - Much enjoyed with a side salad. read more

This was our first visit to Magnolia & Pine. We haven't been in the building since it was the Pine Tavern. The remodel is quite nice. A large bar, high tops in the bar area, tables in the remainder of the seating area and a large patio. It looks great. We had lunch. The menu has a wide range of options as does the bar list. Our server was perfect. We ordered drinks and they appeared quickly. We placed our order and the food was delivered without delay. I enjoyed a Cubano, my wife had a flatbread.
