Nothing better than a perfect Bloody Mary during brunch! Dive Bar is a personal favorite spot of mine and my bf's fam here in Pittsburgh. I was invited back for a photo shoot this weekend over great food and drinks. Dive Bar has a bunch of new menu items out now too. I always get the turkey gouda wrap and also tried a new app, the crab dip. The flavor was really crabby- in a good way! Prices are very reasonable and staff is always so nice. I can't wait for warmer temps so we can enjoy their patio space!

I have only gotten delivery from here but always has very fast delivery and fresh delicious food. My favorite that I have gotten is the short rib melt that my dog stole after I took a couple bites and made the mistake of turning my back for a moment. I felt so betrayed. The salad with salmon I got another time was great too. Nothing too unique but good Cesar dressing and the salmon was cooked well. Kids liked the kids sliders.

One of many Dive Bar & Grille locations around Pittsburgh. This one is located in Glenshaw near Hartwood Acres. First, it is extremely loud inside, especially when busy. Therefore I prefer takeout from here unless you can get an outside table in the summer. I have tried their food a couple times and it has been good. Some items on the menu we like are the turkey cobb wrap, their Cuban sandwich and the one armed fisherman fish sandwich. The sweet potato tots are also good. Service has been good.

Dirty little place. The chicken nachos made my buddy and me ill. If you're not simply drinking beer, don't bother.

The food is really good but no healthier options. The staff seems to have a good rapport with the customers.

Absolutely fabulous lunch here the other day after our trip to the quirky, fun Bayernhof museum…read more Like any really good BBQ place, you smell the goodness before you even get there. In this case, a *giant* smoker is just outside the front door, and man oh man, is it loaded with yumminess --- ribs, chicken, brisket. (Faint!) The place, originally opening in the 1890's (!!), is a real throwback, despite their having to rebuild sometime ago after a bad flood. The current owners - with their families - are some serious hard workers, and the output is just terrific. One of the owners waited on us, a charming Pittsburgher (not sure if it was Chad or Nick) who has an infectious passion for both good beer and his fine food. I got the recommended oatmeal stout which I really enjoyed - smooth, nutty, flavorful. My husband enjoyed his wheat beer. Both of these from the fairly extensive draft list. The food is the real star, tho. Our foursome started with fried green tomatoes - a nice crunch with a good, lightly spicy wing-style sauce. AND ---- the favorite of all of us: smoked chicken wings. MOMMA. These are a signature item for good reason. Order a 1/2 dozen or dozen. They are on the medium side, plump and juicy, with a tasty dust. Perfectly cooked. Apparently they start smoking them in the morning! Dreamy! The owner brought us some fabulous sauces, along with homemade blue cheese dressing, for dipping. The highly-popular "Moonshine" bbq sauce was our fave, hands down. The House sauce was a bit plain but good. The 1/2 n 1/2 - with House sauce and (I think) Carolina BBQ sauce was good. Next time, I'll try their habanero bbq sauce - I think they call it "Hot Hooves." My friend & I split the pulled smoked chicken sammie with a side of really good, home made collard greens. The greens were quite good - not bitter at all - high praise from this Southern gal! The sandwich was great - with chunky bits of smoked chicken, but honestly - you could just eat those fab smoked wings! My husband enjoyed his brisket sandwich. I'm not a big red meat girl, so I can't speak to the flavor. My sister in law got a straaaaange experience -- the gigantic pretzel with 2 smoked meats (pork & chicken) accompanied by a side of Mac & cheese. She wanted to have leftovers, and boy did she get her wish! Yikes. Too weird for me. They have a small outdoor space at the back. We enjoyed the front section with the giant bar. There's also more seating in the back. They have special nights for their delicious food---- those fab wings are super cheap on Tuesday; cheaper meat platters on Wednesdays; & Saturdays are cheap tacos ---- the place was once a taco/Mexican restaurant, apparently. We will most definitely be back!!!

A Pittsburgh 5 star old school dive, but not too divey, really. Lots of great beer on tap,…read moreoutstanding food menu with great prices & BBQ made on sight with a giant smoker right out front on the street. Try their smoked wings yum! The Cuban sandwich was tasty too & the onion rings were giant. Bartenders & all staff very friendly. Small outside deck up a few steps in the back. Punk bands play here some evenings so it gets loud at night. Parking can be tricky. Well worth a visit!

There wasn't a lot of information about this restaurant online, so I decided to go check this out…read morefor myself and get some information going here. The restaurant is on the main drag at Freeport Road, but it's a little hard to spot due to various trees being in the way. This is more of a bar than a restaurant. They have counter seats, a couple of elevated seats and a few regular seats. The place is very clean and the waitress was very nice. The restaurant does not have paper menus, just a menu written on a chalkboard on the wall. It's not a major issue, but they need to get menu's. The restaurant also does not have silverware ready at your table for you. That also needs to be fixed as while most of their foods are items you pick up with your hand, sometimes forks and knives are needed. The prices are reasonable and you can get two apps and two meals for under $50. The main draw of this place is the chicken wings. They are one of the few places in Pittsburgh with full-sized wings with both the leg and the flat part together. The wings are breaded and are good enough to eat without even putting sauce on them though they give you a box with 8 different sauces to choose from. You can get 6 of them (which is 12 wings elsewhere) or a full dozen (which is 24 wings elsewhere). 6 wings for $12 and $12 for 22. They have wing night on Wednesdays, and the price drops to 75 cents a wing which is very cheap these days. We also ordered burgers, fries and onion rings. The burgers were good. They give you a nice big piece of meat on them and the bacon was good. The fries were okay and the onion rings were very heavy on the onion part of it. The pretzel was a standard pretzel but the cheese for it had either an alcohol or possible honey flavoring to it. The restaurant also does offer happy hour where the apps are half off which makes a big difference. Finally, the restaurant has a lottery machine, darts, a slot machine and some table board games. Overall, I liked the place and would return.
