Definitely a beer lovers paradise. I wasn't sure if it would be ideal for a date but it was "ok" - different. It was a bit crowded on a Thursday.. but then its "Thirsty Thursday". Wexford Pub was recommended by several of my coworkers. I wasn't sure what to expect and even though its part of whole foods.. the pub has its own entrance.. and it's through a beer lovers store too. The bar appears to be bigger in pictures but seeing it in person its rather small. I tried the "Devils Backbone" and fell in love.. could of drank that all night. I like the less hoppy IPA's. We were going to order food but there wasn't enough time. Theres a little counter in the back by the pool table if you cant find a spot at the bar or table.. cool paintings to look at along the wall which are available for purchase too. It was a nice visit but theres nothing really in particular that would bring me back... if anything it was a unique place for any beer lover.

Wedge salad with a hamburger. The wedge was very good. The burger was not very good at all.

My husband and I went opening night and we really enjoyed it. Everyone was very attentive and the tacos were amazing. Love their selection at the front of the store for sale! Nice to have another good place to get something to eat and drink. Went today for lunch and had the same great service. I had the wedge salad with a hamburger. The wedge salad was very good. Unfortunately, the burger was not. The flavor was awful. Another man at the bar had a burger and he said it was very good. Not sure how we could both feel so differently. I am tough on burgers. The only other downside is the space is small and there are not many places to sit down. I do recommend it.

Love their tacos!

I think the Wexford Pub is awesome. I'm a huge craft beer fan so it's perfect for me. They have a happy hour which gives a slight discount. The food is decent, my only complaint is that the menu is small and a bit stale. The weekly specials are usually pretty decent. They have some nice daily specials, such as a $5 Nashville chicken sandwich with tots that's tasty and $5 burger night with tots. How can you beat those?? I love their fish tacos as weTuesday's feature $5 flights which is decent. The staff works hard but can be stretched a bit thin at busy times. They are all super friendly and kind. Some people can get a bit bent out of shape if they don't understand how the place works, i.e. no table service, order at the bar. Despite that, I often see the staff deliver food despite the fact the folks are to come get it. I very highly recommend this place for a casual bite and some great beer.

$5 flights, quality rotating beer selection, and amazingly friendly staff. Very laid back atmosphere and happy to call myself a regular

Nice beer selection, good service, and Whole Foods is right next door. Great place for a beer in Wexford!

Very minimalistic modern restroom.

This is the first standalone bar that Whole Foods has opened, and it is very well done. Visited on St. Patrick's day. Had two drinks. Service: I was served by Kristen, Aimee, and Jon. Everyone was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Very attentive, and aware when you might need another drink or a glass for your beer that you purchased in a bottle or a can. Atmosphere: The inside furnishings are a cross between mid-century modern and industrial fixtures. Plenty of wood, metal and angles. Edison filament style bulbs give the feel of an edgy bar, while over implemented, look great as opposed any other lighting options. This place is not too bright, but not too dark, the perfect amount of light. There is the bar with stools, booths, sofas, tables with seats, and the pool table. So, many options for seating. Food: Unfortunately did not have any this visit, but they do have a nice menu. Drinks: They have a large selection of beers on tap (read: 23 beers) and plenty of bottled and canned beers which you can purchase to consume there. I had the Brixton Robbie and a Springhouse Big Gruesome in a can. Price: Beers on tap range from $3-$8. Single cans and bottles are also reasonable from around $2-$7 depending on what you choose. Most definitely some of the best pricing for beers you can get in almost any bar. They also have mixed drinks and wine which were also quite reasonable ($7+). Restrooms: Very clean. Very stylish. Very useable. If I had to use a restroom, I would choose these. Overall: This is a great bar/restaurant. The people who work here are friendly and knowledgeable and it feels like a great hang out place. Very good pricing, very cool atmosphere. Tip: They have a pool table, and it is free!

Great beer selection but you have to watch out for tap takeovers. You can also get food/drinks from Whole Foods and bring them over. The Black Cherry wings were a nice change of pace and the grilled chicken sandwich was really well prepared. The star of the night food wise was the Brussels sprouts though. All of couldn't stop eating them and raving about them. We will definitely be back soon.

First time here. We went on a Tuesday night because it's Trivia nite!! Got their early to be sure we got a table. No problem. It starts at 7:00pm, so if you arrive at 6:45 you'll get a table. There are about 3 team regulars. We ordered food. Portions were a nice size. We had a burger with tots, wings, and a fried avocado sandwich. Originally ordered the vegan chili but were told it wasn't good so they wouldn't serve it to us!! It came with cornbread so she gave us that for free. Everything was fresh, the place felt clean and not noisy! They have about 15 beers to choose from. It's a hidden gem connected to the Whole Foods.

Whoever thought to add a pub to a grocery store had a great concept. I've stopped in here several times before getting groceries at Whole Foods. It's located next to Whole Foods & you walk through that bottle shop to enter the pub. They have 24 craft taps that keep changing. Quite a few IPA's. You can taste before buying or get a flight. They have a limited menu featuring a few salads, sandwiches & entrees. You can either sit at the bar or order at the bar & seat yourself at a table & they'll bring your food out. Thursday's they have their double burger with tots half price & there are other specials on weekdays. They do have cider, wine & liquor too and are open until 10pm. Service while seated at the bar can be spotty. The female bartenders were more attentive. A few of the hipster dudes you have to ask for a menu, then they never come back for your order & you have to pull them out of conversions with other patrons. But, all in all, beers good, food is good & it's a quit pit stop if you need things at Whole Foods. Their credit card system at the bar has been non-functional for months now, so you can only pay cash at the bar. If you're using a card they give you the tab & you pay it in the bottle shop on the way out & there's a jar there for bartender tips.

Tried to capture the menu, too many lights not enough effort, #beer

This is an awesome place, and I hope you don't go there so I can still get a seat at the bar and quick service!! They have 24 taps full of great beer. The prices are very reasonable and they have a good food menu as well. You can order flights, pints, or take a growler to go. They also have a decent selection of bottles in the front where you can get some of those to go, or even take them back to the pub and drink them there. One of the best parts is the free pool table in the back. It's nice to just drink a beer or two with a friend and hangout. They post their draft menu online, too so you can check before you go. Highly recommend this place.

Taco Tuesday; delish. French Onion soup; enough to share. Great beer selection. They don't have bar attached to Whole Foods' near me so this was a very nice treat! Highly recommend stopping for a bite and a brew.

Great place for a draft and a quick bite. Not an extensive food menu but the beer menu makes up for it! :-)

Examples of menu items are appetizers (e.g., shrimp cocktail and nachos), soups, salads, wings, burgers, flatbreads, entrees (e.g., pasta primavera, chicken, duck, pork chop, swordfish, and A-5 wagyu), desserts (e.g., limoncello and cheesecake), and drinks (e.g., mocktails, cocktails, wines, whiskeys, and beers). My husband and I have eaten here twice--once for lunch last year and once for dinner this year. Both times, we enjoyed the employees' service and the foods. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Passionfruit-Paloma Mocktail - 4 stars - sour. Spring Sangria - 4.5 stars - slightly fruity. Jumbo Pretzel - 5 stars - huge size with beer cheese and mustard sauce. French Onion Soup - 5 stars - This soup had a rich broth, onions, and cheese. Ybor Cuban sandwich - 4.5 stars - nicely crunchy toast with tasty pork, ham, and Swiss cheese and a side of crispy onion rings. Salmon - 5 stars - I ordered this entree both times. The salmon was perfectly cooked and came with flavorful farro grains, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus. Filet Mignon - 5 stars - This 8-ounce steak was cooked mid-rare as my husband prefers. It came with whipped potatoes and his choice of au poivre style (black pepper crusted with bourbon cream).

Excellent Food in a Family-Owned Spot, But Transparency, Noise, and a Few Service Touches Need…read morePolishing (4/5 Overall)** I visited Wexford Public (12087 Perry Hwy, Wexford, PA) recently for dinner with my family, drawn by its reputation as a locally owned, chef-driven American restaurant in the heart of Wexford. Owned by longtime locals John and Melanie Dober, it positions itself as a warm, community-focused spot blending upscale comfort food with a welcoming vibe--think handcrafted sandwiches, premium Black Angus steaks, fresh seafood, flatbreads, and daily specials, all with thoughtful wine and bourbon selections. We were excited for what promised to be a polished neighborhood gem, and in many ways, it delivered. The food was genuinely great and the clear highlight. Our dishes were flavorful, well-executed, and creative without being fussy--fresh ingredients shone through, portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and beautifully plated. It's easy to see why so many reviewers rave about the crab cakes, steaks, and chef specials; the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. This is elevated American fare that feels special yet approachable, and we'd happily return just for the meals. That said, a few aspects fell short and left us feeling the overall experience wasn't quite as seamless as the food deserved. First and foremost, the billing transparency issue was disappointing. They add a 3% bank/credit card processing fee to the check (which adds up quickly on a family dinner), but this isn't disclosed on the menu, at the table, or in any obvious way during the ordering process. There's only a small sign posted outside the restaurant. We only noticed it when the bill arrived, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a clear policy. In an era where many restaurants are upfront about surcharges (or absorb them), this lack of disclosure came across as sneaky and detracted from the otherwise positive value perception. The atmosphere was another mixed bag. The space itself is attractive--soft lighting, comfortable seating, and that friendly "upscale brew pub" energy the owners aim for. However, it was noticeably noisy during our evening visit. Conversations required raised voices, especially as the dining room filled up, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal fully. OpenTable rates the noise as "moderate," but on our night it tipped louder than that, possibly due to the layout or lack of sufficient sound absorption. A bit more attention to acoustics could make a big difference. Service was mostly attentive and efficient, but the management interaction stood out in a negative way. When we politely mentioned the surprise fee at the end of the meal, the response was an apology that felt scripted and insincere--like it had been delivered many times before without real follow-through or ownership. It didn't leave us feeling heard or valued as guests. On a brighter note, the owners John and Melanie genuinely come across as lovely people. The restaurant has that personal, homegrown touch you can sense even when they're not physically present, and locals speak highly of them. They were absent during our nighttime visit, though, which is understandable for owners juggling a busy operation--but their warmth is missed when the front-of-house team is handling everything solo. In summary, Wexford Public excels where it matters most: the food is consistently excellent and worth the trip on its own. The family-owned charm and diverse menu make it a strong neighborhood choice for special occasions, casual dinners, or even happy hour in the cocktail bar. However, clearer communication about the credit card fee (ideally on the menu or bill upfront), better noise management, and more authentic handling of guest concerns would elevate it from very good to outstanding. We'll likely go back for the cuisine, but with tempered expectations on the finer details. If you're in the Wexford area and prioritize great American plates, it's still a solid recommendation--just check the small print before you pay.
