    Seasoned steak nacho's

This wasn't the worst dining experience I've had, but I also definitely won't be returning. Let me start with a preface: we had a group of 24 people & I understand that it is not easy to cater to this many people at once. I was disappointed that they didn't offer chips & salsa as a free starter option, especially because this seems pretty standard at most Mexican restaurants. They also did not offer sides of guacamole, only the $16 full portion of it (I just wanted to add some to my nachos). The menu is not very allergen friendly, which is why I chose such a simple meal. Luckily they did not add any dairy products per my request! A lot of us had cold food, which again, I absolutely understand it's tricky to keep 24 meals hot, but I really wish they would have just brought the food out to each of us as it was ready. I'm sure everyone would have preferred that over cold food. The nachos were pretty decent otherwise; however, I do feel like there wasn't enough meat on them. The taste of the food was pretty good! So it's definitely not a horrible place to eat, just not something I found to be worth my money.

I had such a great time at Mamacita's that I'm baffled by the low rating. The service was quick, the food and drinks were DELICIOUS! It was a little pricey, but it's not just your basic Mexican food - it's more of an upscale version. We got the mamacita bowl, chimichanga, and the queso fundido. Everything was perfectly hot and so good! My drink was so unique too - the Shrek had mezcal, lime juice, infused agave orange liqueur, AVOCADO, mint and orange juice. I've never had avocado in my cocktail before, I'm here for it! We'll be back again!

The place is bright, clean, and has a fresh vibe. Service was decent--just a bit slow, but they were busy on a Thursday evening, so it's understandable. I had the fish tacos, which were good. You get three small ones for $17, which feels a bit steep, I got corn and they were purple but it was happy hour, so at least the drinks were cheaper. Honestly, the biggest downside wasn't the food or service--it was the other patrons. Lots of people letting their kids run wild and others acting a little too stuck-up for my taste. Will try again.

A lot of Emiliano's remains. Only half of the restaurant is open - the bar side. Floral accents have covered a lot of the walls. Pretty chandeliers have been added. With only half the seating, I had the choice of bar or wait for a table. When I left, there were a lot of people waiting for tables. Started with a blueberry mojito. There were 4 bartenders working hard making drinks and taking food orders. At the recommendation of my bartender, I had the Chimicurri dip as an appetizer. Toasted bread with marinated feta. Enjoyable but difficult to dip. More spoonable. The Fiery Quesadilla with shrimp was the best that I have had in a long time. The shells were crispy then food add to the shells. The dipping sauces - no idea what they were - were good. Ended the meal with churros. Six to an order with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. I took 3 churros home. I'll be back and bring friends.

Went with my girlfriend and had a good experience. It's a nice building for one with the modern flower wall aesthetics that the new crowds love for photo op reasons. Our server was nice, sweet and patient. I'm from the south so I always feel Mexican food up north is overpriced but we happened to go on taco Tuesday, so it was more bareable (I ended up ordering 8 of them, not pictured lol) But would def return; my girlfriend says the burrito was good...not stop you in your tracks amazing but did its job. Nice restaurant

The food was delicious! We loved everything we ordered. The queso and chips, "fried pollo sammich," one veggie bowl with fresh avocado, a burrito... all so good. All three of us ordered the chipotle sauce with our meals and loooved it. The music was great and the decor was fantastic, the whole vibe was a lot of fun. I loved the faux plants and lighting fixtures. It was stayed busy the whole time we were there, despite us arriving at the tail-end of happy hour. Our server was sweet and kept the refills coming. Because it was a busy Friday night, there were some longer stretches of time where no one stopped by our table. Not a big deal but it did take us awhile to get our bill, and then again to get our receipt. We will definitely be back again. There were a lot of Casa Specialties and fun drinks we want to try.

I've been to Mamacita several times since opening and it does not disappoint for modern Mexican food. Portions are appropriately sized. I don't enjoy over eating when I'm out. Quality over quantity for me. Once the renovations are complete, this will be a great place to visit.

As usual, I forgot to take the photo before tore into it . Atmosphere is great. Service wasnt the best but the grilled romaine salad was spot on!

We saw this place just opened up not too long ago, so we figured we give it a try. The decor and overall aesthetic is so nice. My man said it gave love island vibes. I really wanted to try something different, so I got the rosemary margarita. It was definitely spicy, and you could taste the freshness of the jalapeños. But the food... WOW. So delicious, we wanted to order more after we finished. I've never had such good birria before. I highly recommend giving this a try if you're looking to try something new. And the service was fabulous, even though they were pretty full on a Tuesday we didn't wait long for anything. And our waitress was so nice and patient with us. We can't wait to go back.

    Grilled chicken mamacita salad

Food was delicious. Ordered grilled pollo tacos and grilled chicken salad. Finished all of it. Customer service was great. Skinny margarita was fresh and salt with kick on the rim added the taste. Ambiance was great and would definitely visit again!

This place used to be Emilianos. The food was good at Emilianos, but there were major language issues, which lead to the orders being wrong and the service suffered. You go into Mamacitas and you go to the waiting area/welcome area. There's no fans or AC and with 2 giant glass doors, it becomes an absolute furnace in there. I was soaked with sweat while we waited. They only have half the restaurant open right now due to repairs. The half that is open is small and because of it, it gets extremely loud. It is so loud that you can't even hear the music playing due to the talking. My ears hurt the whole time I was there and I couldn't wait to leave. If they opened a window, this problem would be fixed as the sound could escape. The service wasn't good when we went. The food took over an hour to get and we asked for our check so we could leave without getting our food. The manager said he would bring the food out immediately and then comped us for one of the meals. It's an expensive place. Some places give you free chips and salsa to start, but they do not. Queso and salsa are both $8. Anything with steak on this menu is $18-$22 and most burritos/fajitas/enchiladas/tacos are $16-$18. There's no real offerings for any kind of beef tacos/burritos and the menu is also a lot smaller than Emiliano's menu with many staples missing. The food was fine, but they do not give you very large portions. My mom's food was cold when she got it due to the long wait, which is why we got comped. I only drank water and they only serve water in a tall pitcher. The problem is the pitcher has no ice in it. So the water warms up quick especially on a hot day. I would not go back until the other half of the dining room is open and I don't really ever see this being a regular place for me. This place has a lot of work to do.

The waitress first served a table of customers that was seated after us, so we had a bit of a wait to order, receive our foods, and get our check. Meanwhile, we enjoyed live music from a talented singer-guitarist. I ate the Blackened Shrimp Bowl, which contained large shrimps, plain white rice, black-bean and corn salsa, pico de gallo, avocado, and fried tortilla strips. My husband ate the Crispy Chicken Club, which consisted of breaded chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, avocado ranch, and a kaiser roll (no tomato at my husband's request). It's both, but my review is limited to the restaurant portion of the business. We walked in and nobody greeted us or told us if we could find our own table, so we just sat down at the bar. After a few minutes the barmaid said hello and provided menus. She was very pleasant, but service was very slow. I'm also not impressed with the very limited menu, but we each found something to eat. I had the buffalo chicken wrap (meh) and my friend had a chicken sandwich (he was also not impressed). The beer selection was decent, and that part of the meal was fine. This is a great facility in a fantastic spot and I really wanted to love it, but at this point I see no reason to go back.

Here are my ratings for what we ate: Passionfruit-Paloma Mocktail - 4 stars - sour. Spring Sangria - 4.5 stars - slightly fruity. Jumbo Pretzel - 5 stars - huge size with beer cheese and mustard sauce. French Onion Soup - 5 stars - This soup had a rich broth, onions, and cheese. Excellent Food in a Family-Owned Spot, But Transparency, Noise, and a Few Service Touches Need…read morePolishing (4/5 Overall)** I visited Wexford Public (12087 Perry Hwy, Wexford, PA) recently for dinner with my family, drawn by its reputation as a locally owned, chef-driven American restaurant in the heart of Wexford. Owned by longtime locals John and Melanie Dober, it positions itself as a warm, community-focused spot blending upscale comfort food with a welcoming vibe--think handcrafted sandwiches, premium Black Angus steaks, fresh seafood, flatbreads, and daily specials, all with thoughtful wine and bourbon selections. We were excited for what promised to be a polished neighborhood gem, and in many ways, it delivered. The food was genuinely great and the clear highlight. Our dishes were flavorful, well-executed, and creative without being fussy--fresh ingredients shone through, portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and beautifully plated. It's easy to see why so many reviewers rave about the crab cakes, steaks, and chef specials; the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. This is elevated American fare that feels special yet approachable, and we'd happily return just for the meals. That said, a few aspects fell short and left us feeling the overall experience wasn't quite as seamless as the food deserved. First and foremost, the billing transparency issue was disappointing. They add a 3% bank/credit card processing fee to the check (which adds up quickly on a family dinner), but this isn't disclosed on the menu, at the table, or in any obvious way during the ordering process. There's only a small sign posted outside the restaurant. We only noticed it when the bill arrived, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a clear policy. In an era where many restaurants are upfront about surcharges (or absorb them), this lack of disclosure came across as sneaky and detracted from the otherwise positive value perception. The atmosphere was another mixed bag. The space itself is attractive--soft lighting, comfortable seating, and that friendly "upscale brew pub" energy the owners aim for. However, it was noticeably noisy during our evening visit. Conversations required raised voices, especially as the dining room filled up, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal fully. OpenTable rates the noise as "moderate," but on our night it tipped louder than that, possibly due to the layout or lack of sufficient sound absorption. A bit more attention to acoustics could make a big difference. Service was mostly attentive and efficient, but the management interaction stood out in a negative way. When we politely mentioned the surprise fee at the end of the meal, the response was an apology that felt scripted and insincere--like it had been delivered many times before without real follow-through or ownership. It didn't leave us feeling heard or valued as guests. On a brighter note, the owners John and Melanie genuinely come across as lovely people. The restaurant has that personal, homegrown touch you can sense even when they're not physically present, and locals speak highly of them. They were absent during our nighttime visit, though, which is understandable for owners juggling a busy operation--but their warmth is missed when the front-of-house team is handling everything solo. In summary, Wexford Public excels where it matters most: the food is consistently excellent and worth the trip on its own. The family-owned charm and diverse menu make it a strong neighborhood choice for special occasions, casual dinners, or even happy hour in the cocktail bar. However, clearer communication about the credit card fee (ideally on the menu or bill upfront), better noise management, and more authentic handling of guest concerns would elevate it from very good to outstanding. We'll likely go back for the cuisine, but with tempered expectations on the finer details. If you're in the Wexford area and prioritize great American plates, it's still a solid recommendation--just check the small print before you pay.

Very cool looking building, and the outdoor seating near the water and the fire makes you feel like you're on vacation. The waiter was also super friendly and played along with our jokes. He strongly recommended the chimichurri chicken, so I ordered it. I like that there's a healthier part of the menu too, although with what I ordered, I wish there were more salad greens. It tasted excellent with the chimichurri sauce, but I wish it was less heavy on the rice. More lettuce greens and less rice, or even completely swapping the rice for a salad, would have made me like this a lot more. Maybe even just calling it or having the option for a chimichurri salad and making it a really robust salad with more greens and vegetables. The rice wasn't bad, just kind of an excessive portion and didn't really go with the meal. My friend really loved his burger, and the pulled pork sandwich was good. While I'm not usually a French fry person, theirs were good, and I would actually recommend serving the fries with the spicy cheese dip they serve with the soft pretzels to take it up a notch. That was an interesting choice for an appetizer. While I'm not really a beer person, I can say the beer they serve here is very smooth after trying a sip lol. We especially loved hanging out by the fire pit after, especially since it was a chilly night. There's just something so comforting about sitting by a fire.

We really liked the flavor of the pretzels and the honey-mustard dip. We thought that the cheese dip was OK. Pulled-pork nachos - 5 stars - This appetizer of nachos was huge! Many tortilla chips were topped with gooey cheese, pulled pork, jalapeños, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Fried deviled eggs - 4 stars - The egg white was breaded and fried. It contained a yolk filling and was topped with a spicy jalapeño. We prefer traditional deviled eggs, but these ones tasted good. Mix-and-match soft tacos - 4.5 stars - The pulled-pork taco contained pulled pork and vegetable toppings that were very flavorful. For the brisket taco, I enjoyed the flavor of the brisket and toppings, but the juices made the tortilla soggy and caused it to fall apart. Shrimp tacos - 4.5 stars - These were on sale on a Thursday. The shrimp were breaded, and the toppings of napa slaw, mango salsa, and chipotle aioli tasted very good. Meat entrees - 4.5 stars - My husband liked the smoked chicken the most (5 stars), and he described it as being "delicious." We also ate ribs (4.5 stars), kielbasa (4 stars), brisket (5 stars), salmon (4 stars, needs more seasoning), and pulled pork (4.5 stars). Macaroni and cheese - 5 stars - My husband said that this macaroni was the cheesiest thing that he has ever eaten. He described it as "delicious." I ate some of the macaroni, and I agree that it was extremely cheesy. French fries - 5 stars - These fries were perfectly crispy and salty. Grilled vegetables - 4.5 stars - I wanted to make my meals more nutritious, so I chose a side of grilled vegetables, which are seasonal and included peppers, corn, squash, and zucchini. This mix of veggies had a very good flavor. Side salad - 4 stars - This salad contained a lettuce mix, some tomatoes, some pickled onions, and my choice of dressing. It was fresh but was slightly plain. Pork 'n beans - 3 stars - My husband ordered this side. He ate only a small amount of the beans and sauce, and he thought that they tasted just OK.
