SO GOOODDDDD. The flamed queso is an absolutely favorite. Food is always amazing. Service is often a little slow but they get busy for dinner. We got free shots from the bar but I wouldn't expect that every time

Decided to visit this spot with my friend for dinner. It's a beautiful spot which nice vibes. They have specials and happy hour and the special of the night for us was the Tepache margarita which had a ginger kick to it along with a pineapple garnish. It was really good. I got the fajitas chipotle which was really good and plenty of food for the price. Really nice family restaurant that deserves some love and supports I would visit them again as the food was good!

Amazing service. As a now Texan, the bbq is pretty decent for an east coast bbq, though I've had better in PA. The guys did forget to give us some sausage from our order, but the server was nice enough to help us out. Brisket queso fries were great. They use battered fries! The candied bacon was my favorite. The sides could've been better.

I really enjoyed eating at Tepache Mexican kitchen! We started with the tableside chorizo and hot cheese concoction and boy was in a great way to start the meal! We also had some really tasty cocktails before digging in to the main event! Everyone gonna separate entrée and oohed and ahhed and raved, and quite frankly, it got very quiet because everybody was just totally content with their meals! We also got super aggressive and ordered individual desserts even though we were all pretty full but could not resist! By the time we laughed it certainly felt like I could roll home instead of getting in the car! Delicious food, great atmosphere and good company!

I cannot say enough great things about Tepache! One of my favorite mexican restaurants around Pittsburgh. They have a variety of margaritas including flavors that are specific to their cocktail list. They keep a rotating seasonal menu that is worth boasting. You truly can't go wrong with a dish here. If we lived closer we would most definitely be regulars. Anytime we have to go to this side of town, we plan to stop for lunch or dinner. Their taco Tuesday deal is great! My husband enjoyed 3 tacos for the price of 2 last time we stopped in!

Everything was tasty, fresh, delicious and quickly prepared!! Our group of 5 enjoyed table side guacamole , and Flombay . The service was on point and our server was very attentive. We also enjoyed a variety of entrees like: Chimichangas, Fajitas, Taco salad, Shrimp Enchiladas and the Burrito Ahogado paired with many Margaritas I highly recommend Tepache!! it was super busy and I feel like our server never missed a beat

This place was AMAZING. I haven't had good Mexican food from the north hills until I tried this place. The restaurant was really cute and I loved that they opened the doors so that the sun and breeze rolled through the restaurant. I ordered a Strawberry Mango Margherita and it was so pretty and delicious as well! The server was very nice and friendly and served us quickly. I ordered the Birria Tacos and ABSOLUTELY LOVED them! I loved how they weren't as messy as traditional Birria Tacos because they used a layer of cheese once the bottom so I didn't have to worry about leakage. The meat was so tender and flavorful that I didn't even care there was cilantro on them. I'm not a big fan of cilantro but the Tacos were just that good. The rice was also very good. Only thing that would have made the rice better was if they had the vegetables mixed in. This place was seriously so good. You NEED to try them ou!!

The caramelized pineapple old-fashioned was the star of the show. Too bad it was $17. The chips were very tasty. The Elotes to Share were horribly disappointing. The corn couldn't have been more than an 1/8 inch thick on the cob. I'm not sure where you can even get corn like that. The service was great. Elizabeth was wonderful. The Al Pastor Tacos had nice flavor but the corn tortilla was cold, falling apart and blah. Relaxed enough and comfortable.

Tepache in Cranberry is one of the best Mexican places in the Pittsburgh area- prices are a little steep but that's what you get for the location so I support it lol. The birria tacos were crispy, flavorful, and hit the spot-- comparable to Southern California but a cleaner environment lol. Service was quick and friendly, and the place has a nice aesthetic--modern but still cozy. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

First, the hospitality that greets you and is sustained throughout your meal is really notable (we arrived on a Monday around 4:45-5pm). Everyone was so friendly, not just our waiter (although he was super attentive and so nice - always smiling)! Dining with happy employees can really accentuate your experience in my opinion, and that definitely stood out here. The restaurant itself is clean and well-appointed; with unique Mexican flair adorning the ceiling and walls, which helps provide an authentic experience. As for the food, I will preface my remarks by stating I'm pretty picky about Mexican food - I don't eat it often so when I do, I prefer to go somewhere that puts an emphasis on freshness and authentic flavor. I usually order fairly simple dishes so it shouldn't be hard to deliver on those expectations. With that said; overall, I'd say this place delivered on both but not in standout fashion. My wife and I shared an order of Taquitos, which had a nice flavor when combined with the guacamole - without the guacamole, it would've been a bit bland. It was also a perfect portion size to share. My entree was the Asada. The tortilla shell is homemade, which is a huge plus in my book. I'm not a fan of commercial tortillas/taco shells. The steak had a nice flavor but was missing something - a bit more kick/zest would have been nice. Also, if it were served with guacamole, that would have been a nice flavor enhancer. It comes with two sauces but I didn't like either one. One was very lime-forward and the other was very pepper-forward. I substituted my rice and beans for Papa Fritas, which were ok. Definitely of the frozen variety but they were cooked well, with a nice crispy texture. They went well with the Asada tacos. Lastly, we shared an order of churros with vanilla ice cream. That was a tasty treat, which was again a perfect portion size to share. Again, overall, this is a quality Mexican restaurant that will likely leave you satisfied, but I wasn't 'wowed' by the food (this time around), but I'll be back to try another dish. Give this place a try and I suspect you'll have a pleasant dining experience!

I stopped by for happy hour and wasn't super impressed. Everything was good, but nothing really stood out. The drinks weren't strong. The food wasn't rememberable. When I went, our service felt slow. Beyond food and service, the interior design and aesthetics were great. It definitely felt elevated but on theme. If you go, try and sit on the patio!! The bathroom is clean and has paper towels which was great.

Examples of menu items are appetizers (e.g., shrimp cocktail and nachos), soups, salads, wings, burgers, flatbreads, entrees (e.g., pasta primavera, chicken, duck, pork chop, swordfish, and A-5 wagyu), desserts (e.g., limoncello and cheesecake), and drinks (e.g., mocktails, cocktails, wines, whiskeys, and beers). My husband and I have eaten here twice--once for lunch last year and once for dinner this year. Both times, we enjoyed the employees' service and the foods. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Passionfruit-Paloma Mocktail - 4 stars - sour. Spring Sangria - 4.5 stars - slightly fruity. Jumbo Pretzel - 5 stars - huge size with beer cheese and mustard sauce. French Onion Soup - 5 stars - This soup had a rich broth, onions, and cheese. Ybor Cuban sandwich - 4.5 stars - nicely crunchy toast with tasty pork, ham, and Swiss cheese and a side of crispy onion rings. Salmon - 5 stars - I ordered this entree both times. The salmon was perfectly cooked and came with flavorful farro grains, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus. Filet Mignon - 5 stars - This 8-ounce steak was cooked mid-rare as my husband prefers. It came with whipped potatoes and his choice of au poivre style (black pepper crusted with bourbon cream).

Excellent Food in a Family-Owned Spot, But Transparency, Noise, and a Few Service Touches Need…read morePolishing (4/5 Overall)** I visited Wexford Public (12087 Perry Hwy, Wexford, PA) recently for dinner with my family, drawn by its reputation as a locally owned, chef-driven American restaurant in the heart of Wexford. Owned by longtime locals John and Melanie Dober, it positions itself as a warm, community-focused spot blending upscale comfort food with a welcoming vibe--think handcrafted sandwiches, premium Black Angus steaks, fresh seafood, flatbreads, and daily specials, all with thoughtful wine and bourbon selections. We were excited for what promised to be a polished neighborhood gem, and in many ways, it delivered. The food was genuinely great and the clear highlight. Our dishes were flavorful, well-executed, and creative without being fussy--fresh ingredients shone through, portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and beautifully plated. It's easy to see why so many reviewers rave about the crab cakes, steaks, and chef specials; the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. This is elevated American fare that feels special yet approachable, and we'd happily return just for the meals. That said, a few aspects fell short and left us feeling the overall experience wasn't quite as seamless as the food deserved. First and foremost, the billing transparency issue was disappointing. They add a 3% bank/credit card processing fee to the check (which adds up quickly on a family dinner), but this isn't disclosed on the menu, at the table, or in any obvious way during the ordering process. There's only a small sign posted outside the restaurant. We only noticed it when the bill arrived, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a clear policy. In an era where many restaurants are upfront about surcharges (or absorb them), this lack of disclosure came across as sneaky and detracted from the otherwise positive value perception. The atmosphere was another mixed bag. The space itself is attractive--soft lighting, comfortable seating, and that friendly "upscale brew pub" energy the owners aim for. However, it was noticeably noisy during our evening visit. Conversations required raised voices, especially as the dining room filled up, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal fully. OpenTable rates the noise as "moderate," but on our night it tipped louder than that, possibly due to the layout or lack of sufficient sound absorption. A bit more attention to acoustics could make a big difference. Service was mostly attentive and efficient, but the management interaction stood out in a negative way. When we politely mentioned the surprise fee at the end of the meal, the response was an apology that felt scripted and insincere--like it had been delivered many times before without real follow-through or ownership. It didn't leave us feeling heard or valued as guests. On a brighter note, the owners John and Melanie genuinely come across as lovely people. The restaurant has that personal, homegrown touch you can sense even when they're not physically present, and locals speak highly of them. They were absent during our nighttime visit, though, which is understandable for owners juggling a busy operation--but their warmth is missed when the front-of-house team is handling everything solo. In summary, Wexford Public excels where it matters most: the food is consistently excellent and worth the trip on its own. The family-owned charm and diverse menu make it a strong neighborhood choice for special occasions, casual dinners, or even happy hour in the cocktail bar. However, clearer communication about the credit card fee (ideally on the menu or bill upfront), better noise management, and more authentic handling of guest concerns would elevate it from very good to outstanding. We'll likely go back for the cuisine, but with tempered expectations on the finer details. If you're in the Wexford area and prioritize great American plates, it's still a solid recommendation--just check the small print before you pay.
