I took my 92 year old father for dinner,we both got the liver and onions and loved it.the service is always great very friendly and they keep the place spotless clean which is hard to find these days. Great brunch . Made to order omelette and great food on the buffet made Belgian waffles as well. Everything is replenished frequently since food is cooked in small enough batches not to linger too long on the buffet uneaten Have sausages, bacon, pastries, granola as well as omelette to order. R-Place is one of the few local restaurants I will go back to time and again, sadly it never gets too busy because they don't have a bar and in this area people love the bar (they lost their minds over bars being closed during Covid) The food is always well prepared, there is a nice variety, and the owner and staff are genuinely friendly. It isn't fancy but it's clean and quaint. It isn't trying to be anything but tasty food, at a decent price and a place where you can have conversation with your family and friends. They really are a small business that we are happy to support. read more

We had an engagement celebration brunch there on a recent Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere was great, the decor and set-up was beautiful and the food was excellent!!!! The owner went out of her way to help with decorating and offering ideas as well as keeping "the flow" of the celebration going. We had a Mimosa bar (we had to supply champagne), fresh fruit, yogurt, freshly made waffles/fruit, bacon, sausage and potatoes. There was also a chef to make individual omelets/eggs to order! We had a half sheet cake of white with raspberry filling and it was decorated beautifully to match the bride and groom-to-be's sunflower theme! Outstanding waitresses too! Went to the pizza, pasta, wing buffet on Saturday evening. Pizza, pasta, wings, and salad - how good does it get!!! Oops, I forgot to mention the best cupcakes ever for dessert!! We ordered catering for the lunch following a family member's funeral. Russ was awesome to work with. We had dietary restrictions (GF) for the menu and it was no problem for Russ. Delivery was on time and the team did a great job on the set up. The food was delicious! The cranberry orange glazed chicken and chicken marsala are superb! The gluten free pasta had everyone fooled. It was delicious! The blueberry pie also got rave reviews! Their team came and boxed the leftovers and took the chafing dishes. It was a very seamless process that meant so much on a difficult day. I just moved to the area a month ago. This is quickly become a favorite! We started with the stuffed hot peppers for an appetizer. There were two large, delicious sausage stuffed hot peppers covered in marinara sauce and topped with mozzarella and provolone. Delicious! For my entree, I chose the stuffed pork chops. This is 'R' favorite restaurant!! My husband and I are truck drivers and it isn't easy to find really good food on the road with truck parking. So, being located in a truck stop is an added bonus!! We stop in about twice a month. Our route puts us here on Saturday mornings. This means the breakfast buffet is available! The menu is quite large and there are always lots of specials! We've NEVER been disappointed with anything we've tried and we've tried most of it! The menu changes occasionally and if something is removed and they get requests for it, they will make it provided they have the fixins!! Next thing you know its back on the menu due to customer requests! They actually listen to & accommodate customer preferences!! On top of all this, they have the most awesome bakery!! We always walk out with a bag full of goodies!! The staff is friendly and accommodating and the service is speedy! The antique collectibles decor is fascinating and extensive! For a catering company they are not accommodating at all. The owner was rude and will never get my business. Good thing there are other places around to give business too. Was able to call another local business who was courteous and happy to take my business! Not sure how this place has stayed in business this long. We are here very frequently and there has not been anything we have had that we didn't like. Grilled chicken salad, pizza, parmesean crusted chicken, you name it, it is always good. The servers are very down to earth, friendly, and efficient. read more
