    Yuck!!!

I've heard so much about this place and it's fish sandwich . The place isn't much to look at, inside or out. So I ordered the jumbo fish sandwich and a large fry to go...spent a little under $15. Not at all what I expected. First the fries half raw. Next the fish sandwich. If this is the featured food that keeps people coming back, I can see why there was no one in the place. It was greasy and loaded with skin. Very unappetizing. If I didn't live so far out I would of asked for a refund.

The décor is minimal, but the view of the city is beautiful. I felt the dishes were somewhat overpriced for their portion sizes, but overall, the food wasn't bad. I really enjoyed the chicken romesco sandwich I ordered, and the aioli that accompanied the fries was great. I didn't love that all orders had to be placed at the bar. Having 1-2 waitstaff for the roof would have been nice, as one person has to wait at the table with everyone's belongings if everyone wants to order at once. The bartenders were all extremely friendly and helpful with drink recommendations though, which we really appreciated. Something to note: there is no private parking available unless you pay for valet service. I felt this was mildly annoying and inconvenient, seeing as your only other options are a privately owned lot across the street (so you risk being towed) or street parking at least two blocks away. If you have mobility issues, I would keep this limitation in mind. Overall, I would go back if a friend wanted to go! They change their menu fairly often, so I would be interested to see future cocktail and app options.

Even if not staying here, highly recommend visiting. There is a bar are, couch seating, table/chairs. All super comfortable. There's even a back room. Super cool vibes and great drinks. They also have snacks available. You will be greeted by a host who will give you a table and get you settled. The menu has lots of options for some very crafty cocktails, as well as the classics. We ordered several cocktails (can't even remember the names of them) and all were amazing. You can't go wrong. Our server was amazing - ask for Stacey! She was very helpful and attentive. She really helped make the experience even more enjoyable. They do offer charcuterie, flatbreads, etc for snacks. Listen - get the chips with Millers mustard. You will be asking for more chips! Just so tasty. This is a great find! It's obvious that great detail had been made to creating the proper vibe with the decor, drinks, mood lighting, and delicious drinks!!!

Once you enter, it is dark and cozy. I absolutely loved the smell- like an incense smell. All of the drinks were very fancy and I loved watching them get made. Im not a fan of liquor so I ordered prosecco. I still felt fancy. The bartender was great! Super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We also ordered the chips and dip while we were there. The dip had a nice kick to it. The only issue is parking. We ended up in the garage across the street which filled up shortly after we entered! I will definitely be stopping back again in the future!

LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

They had a heated rooftop and DJ at the bottom. There were two bartenders working when I went. At the front, they had a wheel you could spin for $8 for a randomized drink. They also do trivia on Tuesday I believe. I got the curry poutine fries, which I've gotten from another restaurant before and they were amazing. I think this place puts a lot of sauce and cheese on but I think it would taste better if it had the curry on the bottom and had crispy fries to delay the time they get soggy. It was topped with green onions which was nice and a good fresh flavor addition. It's a huge platter of fries for $16 though - great to share for a group. I think their wing deal is worth trying - 10 wings for $15 and a MYRIAD of flavors to pick from.
