While waiting to be seated on a busy Sunday a handicapped women, wheelchair bound was ahead of us in line, we declined to be seated until the very patient handicapped women was accommodated, after my husband pointed out 2 tables she would most certainly fit, (aka the chairs are sized to be walkway accommodating)a young, very rude brunette waitress with a long braided pony tail and fake eyelashes, insisted on seating the couple behind us, behind the handicapped woman, when I ask why she was being so rude she smirked at me and became even more rude, laughing, repeating herself loudly and talking about me to any staff member who would listening, all while a nicer young waitress moved chairs to accommodated the patient handicapped woman, after that task was completed, we were guided to our table the very rude waitress continued to make a scene and talk very loudly to the other staff members laughing and distorting the fact that she was and continued to be rude, typical narcissistic behavior! I asked to speak to the manager and they laughed and pretended to elect each other as the manager, the manager finally did come to our table and promised to speak to Ms. No Manners, but not until she had overdramitized the entire situation to each staff member loud enough for us to and most of restaurant to hear, and feel uncomfortable! Being a local business in the Elizabeth community is something we carry with pride, please sensitize your staff to assist the handicapped and not make them or those who speak up for them feel ostracized. On the handicapped woman's way out she stopped by our table to thank us for our kindness and shared she wished more people shared our views, by the way she was able to roll behind my chair with ease, Do Better! read more

As soon as we walked in two waitresses said in sync "hello, how many?" It was cute we all laughed. It is a nice warm family atmosphere. Looks like a warm cozy living room in one section. This is where we sat complete with fireplace with comfy booths. Our lunch was something that your mom would have made. This is a great thing!!. I had a Reuben sandwich that was so big I could not eat it all. This made a nice lunch for the next day. The fries were crispy and hot. My husband enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger. He said it was a 10 out of 10. His side salad was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and they worked together helping each other getting things done. Wagners is a great breakfast place that has never disappointed me. On a weekend morning you should plan on waiting but it'll be worth the wait. Nice menu selection and reasonable prices. We stopped there on a Friday morning and were seated immediately. An order of French Toast w/scrambled eggs and a meat lovers omelette was delivered quickly and the coffee refills were well attended. The owner makes homemade pies and cupcakes. The best banana cream pie you can get! This place offers a comfortable down home country atmosphere, with fast service. We happened to come across this place by accident. It was breakfast time. We ordered ham & cheese omelets with sides of potatoes and pancakes. The coffee was piping hot but instantly drinkable. Every bit of food was fabulous as was the service. If the waitress was busy someone was there to top off our coffee. Lots of parking & eating areas. I highly recommend this restaurant for the breakfast. Oh and the prices were great also. I'd assume lunch-dinner is delicious also. read more

Very friendly and welcoming staff. I stopped with my 3 year old neice and 1 year old nephew for breakfast. The waitress(es) were so nice to both of them. Letting ny neice order for herself (with doubling checking with mom), and gawking over the baby. Very nice family atmosphere! I had the eggs benedict for breakfast (and so did 3 other people I was with, it's a family favorite!) It was delicious! They were very busy but the food came quickly! Breakfast is good. Servers polite. For the prices on lunch/dinner items I would have expected homemade as opposed to frozen patties, frozen fries, and turkey cold cuts in place of fresh. Horrible choice of places to stop and eat lunch. I ordered a steak salad for lunch they brought it out and it was a bowl full of brown lettuce. I was on lunch break no time to order something else. Told the waitress and i didnt get anything in return. First time and the last time. read more

The service here is horrible. We came here last year and had a horrible experience but decided to give it another chance. Big mistake! Nobody should ever have to wait 20-25 minutes after being seated to just receive drinks. It wasn't even crowded. The waitress was not very nice at all and the food wasn't good. Can't say enough good things. Atmosphere is cozy, servers are friendly, food is quality. I would recommend the eggplant parm, the chicken ranch BLT, or any of the specialty pizzas. Been twice. Eggs first time around were chopped not scrambled. Coffee was great. Staff very attentive. I would have given four stars, if the manager had not "stood by her cooks crappy eggs". We dined there some time ago, everytime i drive by i recall those shitty eggs."
