Ravioli with Beef and marinara sauce. All homemade

Small town diner. It's like walking back in time. Service was great. Very clean, Pierogi's are scrumptious. The homemade ravioli is very good . The bread is so fresh. Wish my grandparents were here and I could take them to this place!!

Beautiful small town steel city diner. You know a place is delicious if anyone over the age of 65 is walking in there. Got the sausage and biscuits and a dark black coffee, which were scrumptilescent.

Off the beaten path Hill's is in the sleepy town of New Eagle. The decor is American Diner and you can just tell upon entering good home cooking is what you can enjoy here. There are booths and tables as well as a counter bar. The menu isn't very large but the portions are. Pasta of gnocchi, ravioli and more are home made. The sauce is quite good though everyone has a special take on what makes good sauce. The night I was there lasagna was on the menu. Offering of a small or large portion is a nice option because you want to save room for dessert. Home made pies are EXCELLENT and worth saving room for.

My husband had the pizza buffet, which came with a drink, salad and breadsticks. All the pizza was fresh, and had that crispy crust that is so good! I had a pick 2 lunch special with a club sandwich and a side salad. The club sandwich was packed with meat. Everything tasted great. We can't wait to go back and try more options.

There is a small parking lot on the side of the building but there is also a lot of street parking available. It was pretty crowded but we were seated quickly. There was booth and table seating and the way the booths are set up they felt fairly private. There were also high top tables. It was pretty loud (which would be expected when it was as crowded as it was). The menu is pretty extensive with a wide variety of choices. Everything from chicken fingers to steaks. They were out of several things the night we were there. As I mentioned, it was busy, but it was still early enough that I wouldn't have anticipated it would have been an issue. So we had to pivot and make changes to what was ordered. My daughter had a steak and she thought it was delicious. It was tender and cooked well. Service was slow and spotty. Again, they were busy, but we had to ask several times for things like water refills. And our server took part of the order wrong, so one of the entrees came out wrong. Because of how long everything took to get, we just took it as is. There were no apologies, just "we're really busy" (yes, I know that). Overall, we had an enjoyable meal and will likely be back. Hopefully on a quieter night.

It reminds me of an old school mom and pop place - there's a u-shaped bar when you walk in the door with some tables around to the left and a small room to your right with additional tables. It was pretty clear when we walked in that it's a local favorite - we felt like everyone knew we were not local. But that dissipated quickly when a waitress greeted us and took us to a table. They were quite busy on a Friday evening, but the service was relatively quick once we got started. My daughter got the pierogies and I ordered the filet. Each of our meals came with a side salad - and let me tell you, that "side" salad could have been a meal itself. Not only was it large, it was a good variety of veggies and black olives. My daughter also ordered a side of meatballs and they were just okay - there was something about the taste and texture that neither of us liked nor could we pinpoint what was turning us off exactly. They almost tasted stale. The pierogies were delicious, including the browned onions. My filet had a nice sear and was cooked medium rare as I ordered, but it has a bit of an oily coating that was a little off putting. The flavor was good, but I prefer my steak with a little seasoning. The asparagus was overcooked and mushy, but the baked potato was massive and cooked to perfection. The amount of food you get is substantial. I'd definitely go back and try some other menu options or get the pierogies again!
