If you're looking for a fancy place this isn't it. However, if you're looking for good food and service this place is ideal. Stopped by for the first time for lunch and was very impressed. It's located at the golf course but is open to the public (no membership needed) You could literally smell the cleaning products as soon as you walked in the door which is always a plus in my book. We were greeted by a very nice woman from behind the bar who just happened to be our waitress as well. She seemed to be the only employee there bouncing back and forth from bartending to waitressing. She handled it very well. I was impressed with her quality of service and her patience with the bar crowd. I will mention that this place can get very loud depending on the bar patrons, not the best place for kids. The bar takes up a great deal of space with seating for people who want to dine wrapped around the bar. They do have a separate dining room area, but it was closed off while we were there. Which is completely understandable since there was just one person running the entire place. The menu had a pretty big selection and everything that we got there was delicious. I ordered the cheese steak with fries and thought it was very tasty. The meat was cooked perfectly and juicy instead of being over cooked, dry and crispy like other cheese steaks I've had in the past. We'll definitely be back! read more

Shocked by use of non-recyclable styrofoam water cups and plastic straws!!! Protect our Earth. If I return, I will ask for a reusable glass and no straw. Of course, I also wonder what chemicals are used on the course itself. Please make these known so we can assess any potential heath threats to our community. read more

Pleasantly surprised by the menu selection, upbeat staff, and good food. Ordered chicken with Portabella's, sauce, served with Redskin mashed potatoes. Chili, Fish and fries served with A balsamic dressing. Everything was very tasty. Look forward to my next visit. Update: My following visits over the past year haven't been as pleasant... We've been served burnt apps and burgers, the menu has declined and when we held my daughters graduation party there bartenders set up and opened a bar in our room then another group invaded my daughter's graduation party, they also permitted them to set their grab bags on her cake table while we still had guests (and another hour remaining)...we and our guests felt forced to leave. I cannot describe the utter disappointment the food this place pushed out. For a golf club eatery, I had high hopes. I stopped for early dinner after lounging around the pool all afternoon. Ordered the appetizer platter. Everything was very blatantly frozen and the marinara sauce for fried zucchini and cheese sticks was bland. The chicken tenders were an embarrassing size and cheap quality meat. If they sell the chicken tenders as a kids meal, you'd better order two meals because their chicken planks were the size of the marinara sticks. I got a burger and although the patty was frozen, the burger was not terrible. Bartender was waiting on the bar, all of the tables, and customers walking in from the course, so the service was extremely slow and waited a long time for refills, the check, and to cash out. What a wonderful experience at Easter dinner yesterday! Family gathered but appropriately distanced from others. Wait staff was awesome. Food was so very good, served family style. The food that we got was decent other than the salad which had a couple of rotten tomorrow's in it. The prime rib sandwich was great and so was the burger. However, if you are choosing this place based on the menu you see on Yelp/ online, don't waste your time. This place has nothing more than diner food. I was disappointed by the false/ outdated advertising. Atmosphere and service left a lot to be desired. That being said most restaurants are struggling with service right now and the server seemed annoyed at our presence. read more

The service was great and our event was wonderful mostly due to my family and friends throwing it. The food was good. However we were told there were no leftovers of food or the cake we had brought in. We had a person arrive late and the guest that made her a plate said there was a decent amount of food left. Yet we were told there was absolutely nothing left to take home. I now don't believe them about the cake. And they kept the styrofoam containers my mom brought in. I don't know that I would use them for another event since that part seems a little shady. read more

I can not say enough about Butler's golf course (Rock Run Inn)! We had our wedding reception there and they couldn't have made it more beautiful!! They did all the work. Helen was so personable and made sure we covered all the angles. Sonny made the room absolutely beautiful with class and taste! I go there every friday for there fish, it is fantastic. The fish is so moist, and the beer batter is perfect. I ordered there larger fish and it was enough to feed 2 people. The service and staff is great. I am having my sons graduation party here in june. Such a great hidden gem. read more

Held a golf outing at Butler's golf course and the Rock Run Inn. Yes, the furnishings are a little tired but that is a small part of the charm of this place. The entire staff could not have been easier to work with and they made the job of planning an event for 20+ people SO easy. And the golf course was enjoyed by all. Could not have been better. Great service! Excellent food! Doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let it fool you. I had outstanding crab cakes over grilled veggies. My sister had the bruschetta stuffed portobello mushrooms over grilled veggies. Truly delicious, not to mention gluten free! And my daughter had the chicken tacos. Yummy! We were visiting family. We are from Chicago so we know good food when we taste it. I can't wait to go back. read more
