This place is an absolute gem, and everyone I interacted with (thanks Julie!) made the place very welcoming for us! We rented the Barn for a saturday afternoon shower for about 25 people. There were only about 11 parking spots in the main lot, but some additional room to park by the main office. Highly recommend!

It was such a pleasure to work with Sandy, Jill and Kayla in making the arrangements. All we had to do was select our food, explain our vision, agree to date and time, and sign our contract! They made it so easy for us. The night of the event, everything ran pretty smoothly. The food was excellent, the service exemplary, and a beautiful atmosphere with a lovely ambiance. Taylin, Hanna, and Alayna, along with the entire staff were so attentive but more importantly fun to interact with and the service couldn't have been better. They all contributed to a magical evening and experience. Thank you all so much. I highly recommend them for staging any special event, or any event for that matter!

This is a lovely venue for events such as weddings, showers, dinner/holiday parties and similar events. Located on Banksville Road it's easy to get there by car, bus, trolley, etc. They have an area called Backstage at The Boiler Room which is home to live music performances. The lobby is lovely and elegant. Heated four seasons porch, courtyard with fire pits, fountains and more. Food is standard fare for banquet hall facility. Though standard fare everything is served cooked to perfection. Meats are juicy and tender, pasta not over cooked, sauces flavorful and not dried out.

After being there, I just have to let people know what they are missing out on! First of all, there is ample parking, a rarity in Pittsburgh. Second, location. Just outside the Fort Pitt tunnels and slightly down Banksville Road, it is minutes away from the city, seconds from two hotels, and within 45 minutes to an hour of the airport. (Note: If you are going for the first time, be aware that it is not on Banksville Road proper, but on an extension behind the Days Inn.) Now for the space itself. The parking lot is slightly rugged, but I think the overall ambiance makes up for that, especially since they offer valet parking. There is a sweet little gazebo on the lower outer level, which looks as if it could be a great photo spot. The upstairs features a ballroom with a raised platform, a multi-use room with a beautiful marble bar (and efficient bartenders), and a stunning covered porch area. There are screens throughout which can be used for slideshows or, as we used them, to keep updated on the Oscars throughout the evening. I did not get to look at the downstairs area, but given the quality of the rest of the venue, I'm certain it would not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening at this venue and will keep it mind for future event needs!

It took an incredibly long time for our server to take the order, so long that we had just said "let's go somewhere else", within seconds of making that statement a server appeared and took our orders. As an appetizer we had the hot pepper cheeseballs, they were mediocre and portion was small for the price. I ordered French onion soup (which I really used to like here), it was mostly broth and contained a large outer shell of onion. Mac and cheese side was $4.99 and portioned extremely small. Steak and cheese hoagie tasted good, it wasn't the steak-umm kind of meat. It was served with plenty of lettuce and tomato and came with chips that you could upgrade to fries for an up charge. The ambience is casual and noisy. We sat at a table and were repeatedly bumped by staff members. The carriage used to be one of our local go-to's but based on food quality, portions, price, and what appeared to be staffing issues, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
