The restaurant had children and elderly people seated, so I couldn't wimp out and go somewhere else. The Chop SHop is a downtown Butler must-try, and it is three concepts rolled into one. The Chop Shop is a vintage-style eatery serving sandwiches, milkshakes, burgers, vegetarian fare and grilled meats. I ordered their specialty milkshake, which is a loaded milkshake that comes with everything thrown into one Milkshake. Although it was a perfect drink for a heatwave, my milkshake quickly melted due to the heat in the restaurant. For the main course, I ordered the Mixed Grill, which had grilled elk tenderloin, smoked quail, caramelized bacon brussels sprouts, dauphinoise potatoes and a blackberry brandy demi-glaze. The food was awesome, and those potatoes were crazy-good. The Elk was cooked to medium as I ordered, and the quail was tender and juicy. Overall, a good but hot dining experience.
